I might suggest you try using the NEWBIE channel in game for that kind of problem. There are guides and mentors in every game just to help you with those things.

Im not IronRealms, but things to remember when making a name: All four servers are Roleplaying servers, make a name accordingly. Only one word is allowed in a username, with only letters. On a final note, if you decide you want a surname or last name, you'll need to ask a city- or guild- or whatever-organization-your-game-runs-off-of-official to tack it on for you. Hope that helps.

This is awesome. I've always loved Imperian and Kongregate's an awesome site, too. Also, this client's a major improvement over the old Java client, imo.

If you started a character with the name but you did not finish creation you should be able to login with the character, rather then trying to create again. If this is not the case please let me know.

For those of you with trouble saving your settings you may need to upgrade to flash 10. If you have 10 then please shoot me and email and describe the bug so I remember what the problem it. - jeremy@ironrealms.com

I think there's an In-Game age limit on when you can join a bloodline. I know on Imperian it's 20. Not sure about the other games.

i tried the first one again without capitalized first letters, and it didnt reject me right away... but its been "checking" for the last 15 minutes now, and counting..

i like the story, although im not a fan of command type games, this would be awesome if it had 3pg (3rd person gameplay) i like how you have stats and stuff and i like the certain races and things 4/5 :)

Mordred Azgodeth was the first one i tried, but if thats too commmon i also tried Morthain Azgodeth and got the same result. and i know that one wasnt taken for sure ;p
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
no, nobody would have the names i tried. and it wasnt just one. i tried four names i myself made up, and have been able to use in every other game online for many years now.

You may have already thought of it, making it a genuine bug, but that probably means someone else has the name(s) you're trying to use.

Good point. I will spend some time working up some better descriptions and help info for this site.
Thanks for the feedback.

Nah, L4m3ness has a point >.> And it annoys me too. I get the feeling IRE kinda hopes to trick you into playing. Though, I am one of those recently registered fanboys.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Hm, all the recently registered fanboys and their comments scare me..
Might take a look at the game if I've more time, though. So far the instructions could be more detailed (like a link to the game hps) - without google and reading the comments I would have little idea of what the game is like whatsoever (like that it's a mud etc etc..)

Excellent idea people, let's insult our target population. They'll 1/5 it if they want to. They'll hate it if they want to. We love the game, and losing those 1/5thers is not something we're really cry about. As I've told people before, leave a pleasant comment, because it really is a great game, and 5/5 it for great justice :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yeah, good point AcidSeahorse. I've also noticed that on this site, if it requires effort, people won't do it. Ahh well. Still a 5/5 from me.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. We are working on fixes for the bugs that have been submitted, including the name problem. Should have a new version up within the next hour.

Unfortunately, most on Kongregate only knows how to be a douchebag, Andvili. You know, anonymity tends to bring out the asshole in people.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You know, if you actually read comments, people, you'd know that IRE is working on this particular method of connecting to their games. Go to the main site and use the Java application if you're having difficulty, and contact them to let them know that this applet has issues instead of rating low and being a douchebag.

Iron Realms games, and especially Lusternia, are amazing. The worlds are detailed and the gameplay is fantastic. They are TEXT based games, which means if you're looking for fancy graphics, they're prolly not your cup of tea. They also require one to have an imagination, and do take a bit of time to get used to if you've never played a MUD before. But, the in depth detail of the fighting, the politics, the commerce, the skills, and the roleplay within the communities all serve to create games (especially with regards to Lusternia) that are nothing short of addicting. All the games are very newbie friendly as well, with Guides set up to help new players, training areas set aside just for new players to practice hunting and questing, colleges to learn skills, novice aides in guilds. Five Stars!

Give these games some time and you will find yourself immersed in something. I find myself in politics a lot. Ahh, the manipulation!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Having been an avid Iron Realms player for over half a decade, I stand surprised at how these games do not grow stagnant or boring. Regardless of what you're looking for in a game, any of the four Iron Realms games can offer it to you.
