Its funny to see how fast the food disintegrates. If i put it directly on some hundred ants it disappears immediately. Very interesting is the dynamic behavior if one distribute some dozens of food all around the map. Its nearly like the real nature. A simple but very realistic ant simulator.

Only real problem is that the pheromones need to dissipate after a while. I have ants going back constantly to an old food source that isn't there.

They don't behave like real ants, real ants would return home the way they came, not the shortest route. They also don't pick the strongest pheromone route, they just go to any.

I effing hate ants. ... that being said, this sim is pretty neat. Someone else mentioned SimAnt — That was such a badass game/sim thing. A lot more could be done here.

Very cute. Gets a little laggy around 2500+ ants, but that's kind of to be expected. I like the pharamone trail. Not exactly a "game" without some kind of challange or objective. But it was fun to watch 'em run around for a minute. :)

Where are my landmines and fire crackers? Magnifier? Toy car? Spiders? Roaches? Speedlings? Banes? I'm going to go play SC2.

Good idea but it gets boring very fast. You are going to keep people interested for about 3 minutes before they get bored and never come back.

An interesting start. Could add some features to really make it shine. Look for ways to manipulate certain ants, add different breeds of ants, make the ants have a certain amount of food per 100 ants or something, show stockpiles of food, if pheromones get too strong in a particular area, have other outsider ants/rival ant colony come and take some food. Add some conflict or some sort of driving force or a measurement system and it'll be great. Maybe take out the "spawn ants" button and have them make new ants themselves based on how much food they have.

Nice, the ants behave as they do in real life, following pheromone and stuff. Nice work, the game is pointless though.

do you know the game simant? it was a game from the 90s where you control one ant and you haev to build your nest, forage for food, nurse your young, and attack the enemy red ants. it was a really cool game, you should make something like that!

try to get a copy of simants and get some of there ideas in your game like building up the nest fighting enemys the ant styl.
ATM it's a nice interface with routing and fooding working. But the Programm has room to get to somethin bigger

Makes for a simplistic sandbox game and ill give it credit for net being glitchy. Still, it seems like there could be some sort of conquest or competition type game in here somwhere. Not bad as is, I guess, but keep working on this. It seems like there could be something to it.

Graphics are not too bad. But there is no sense, no fun and just nothing to do than klicking and watching...kind of boring.
