Red flashing bar on the sides of the fields stand for the water level. When a field is fully watered, the red flashing bar will fill up with blue and deplete as the field uses up the water.

@ J_A_R: red flashing bar means plants either need to be watered or harvested -- activities you can speed up with clicking, I think.

I think that if u give choice between three wives u should make them different like ones really lazy so she works slow others really active then while trying to marry them u make the best one for the farm the hardest to get

theres a flower bonus!? the merchant traded 50 potatoes for a sack of flowers which i guess is a flower bonus:D i had 8 brunches in 5 minutes

I'm at wife watering level 51 and it's still only 3.71...does MY watering level matter? It doesn't seem to. I went up something like .12 the last time I leveled her. The skill is almost useless at this low level, I'm wondering if there is a softcap. Still 5/5 for the game though!
both watering skills are not related. Wife's watering gives more than it seems. Watering 3.71 seconds EVERY MINUTE means that your crops grow arround 10% faster and that also means that you harvest them 10% more often, so you get +10% money, +10% exp and +10% flowers (all when idle). It's not so bad, I think...

i have some suggestions
1 add the ability to hire workers that make water drain slower or add water ever 5 minutes or something like that and you pay every 30 minutes or an hour or something like that
2 add some new npc's who will teach you to slow the draining of water or auto water up to a certain %
3 add the ability to extend your land and scroll through your farm.
4 random events happen every so often and the include stuff like "found flower at the edge of the field +3 flowers" or "it started raining fields dry slower" you know something like that
5 add pets and or animals that your can buy that can be sold "pigs sheep cows" or harvested from by your wife so you can sell what you get from them

what does the watering skill do for the person? i know what it is for the wife, but wasn't sure if it was the same for the player

@ Buddhaz ... I can't claim to know the proportion of wheat production. But from my experience so far (Just upgraded to star wheat) it does take longer to harvest the new wheat, but the star wheat grows and harvests considerably more quickly than other star crops. I left the game running as I slept last night. So I had gobs of wheat this morning. When I clicked the harvest bucket to allocate a few for chicken food, it put 13,000 wheat into food to my surprise! LOL! So I would say harvest the wheat intentionally, rather than running overnight. I'll probably max the game before I run out of chicken food now. haha! (It hasn't taken me long to get the sellable wheat replaced.)

does the upgraded wheat give a proportionately larger amount of chicken feed or should i be farming a mass amount of feed before i do this next crop upgrade?

develop this further add some more options let this increase to a management of several farms trought workers, add a market with trends and so on and you will make a very nice game to sell on steam.

What are the egg harvesting level marks for when my wife can harvest an extra egg per collection? So far she's at 23 in her egg collecting skill and can harvest 2 per collection. I remember it increasing from 1 to 2 at around level 10, so when will I be able to collect 3 at a time with her?

yw LadyKianna, glad it helped. Do you mean the blue stars fade while you're on the same screen if you don't select fast enough? If that's so, hopefully Junjo can address it because that would stink so bad! And by the way, Junjo... I'm still very impressed how interactive you are with the player base. I'll look forward to Idle Farmer 2 for sure!

Unfortunately the stars don't always stay, they fade, and I missed some possible upgrades :( I'll remember to snag the one by the seed guy next time. Ty.
What do you mean with that "they fade". They should be on screen until you move your mouse over one of them. Only then they fade out and a unlock window appears, but if you don't like that one, just move the mouse out of the window and the available stars will appear again.

@ LadyKianna ... To get a house: When you pay the Mayor for prosperity, look for blue stars that aren't on an existing merchant. Those will bring a new villager. The one for the house builder appears next to the seed merchant. Hopefully that helps.
