why would anyone make a game where all the content is gated behind a couple hours with an autoclicker? if that's the start of the game, i can't imagine it gets any better. what a horrible design decision
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
can all computations be computed by you, and not us HAHA have them display next to the upgrade maybe. or anywhere down there.. and the exact money gain count per click/sec

i just hit 95 average happiness as well with my 59. lifetime. 309 more resets to beat 100 average happiness, but i wont do that without a way to automate more and without the lag fixed
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
3 hours with an autoclicker to get to lifetime 2 and everything resets. No explanation for how to get happiness bonuses. Nothing is different other than being able to get the degree, which changes base from 10 to 15. This game is garbage. I could code a better game while taking a dump.

I'm on lifetime number 89, and currently can earn my Doctorate without passing any time at all, thanks to my bonus starting cash from happiness, and then maintain a lifetime average of 95 Happiness, to fund myself in a loop. I calculate that it'll take another 284 lifetimes of this to increase my salary sufficiently to maintain 100 Happiness all my life! Then I can start concentrating on investments, and try to get 100 Tech Giants!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
there needs to be a purpose for money. right now you basically need money at the start of a run to get to an average of 100 happiness. All the money that isnt used for happiness is just there to earn more money that you dont need. leveling up the bonus for tech giant sounds like a nice idea but needs something to use that money on. just leveling up tech giant isnt really enough motivation to earn big amounts of money. especially considering that i will probably hit happiness 100 average way before i can use tech giants

26 hours and 40 minutes, with no clicks, to advance the first lifetime. Almost as exciting as "Watching Paint Dry Idle" or "Watch Grass Grow Idle." Well done on that front. That said, there should probably be slightly more to do during the first lifetime; perhaps auto-investing? Something.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Sure would be nice if I could see my average-over-this-lifetime happiness somewhere so that I would be able to tell how close I am to reaching one of the thresholds.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Rawrkanos well 130 base income is pretty easy to get as soon as the lag problem is fixed. 50 sec for a lifetime with the last passive worker and 2 income per lifetime at over 35 happiness
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Average Happiness 90 isn't possible. It takes more than 5 years to get to the highest degree to be able to support a 90-happiness life style, after which it would require a 100-happiness life style to end with a 90-average(45 years at 100 happiness = 90 average).
I'd have to get up to 130 base income to do that.

The display is obviously not normal ...
On the left is a blue panel with "Passive Time" and "Active Time" etc., on the right is a green area with "Money Category" etc. and below that "Hpurly Expenses" etc. There is a purple panel that
The left panel is hidden below the right panel.
In addition, there is a panel below it that can be scrolled by the scroll bar or mouse wheel.
It looks like this game obviously needs a larger viewing area ... is something wrong?

Instead of calculating every hour when the day/week/month/year buttons are clicked, just pre-calculate it. Say I get 55 per hour and spend 49 per hour on happiness, that's 6 per hour. Then I click month, so 6*160=960. Now you just increment the funds by 960, instead of calculating out 160 steps.
And for investments require other math that I don't know, but I know there's a calculation for it to make it MUCH faster.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So... I turned an autoclicker on the 1 hour per click, 20 mins later and still haven't acquired anything, lifetime 1. Happiness does nothing but waste your resources, Items do nothing... wtf?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@sorawarrior I think you miss-understand. Having 1 Large company would net you 100m/year where are having 100x Small business would only give 60m/year. 10kx Gov bonds 40m/year ect. Better to buy the higher ones, the %'s don't add up but the "bonds" do. Hope that clears this a little

it seems like the passive workers calculate each hour separately for each operation. That means for the year passive each second it has to calculate 1920 hour ticks which makes it lag like crazy. just make the year passive worker give 1920 times the money that the hour passive worker gives and dont let it calculate 1920 times each second. and the same for all the other passive workers with corresponding values

So there is a problem of progression. My next level is with an average 80H (happiness). To get 80H an hour you have to spend 40/hour- To get an average 80H you need to generate 4000H for 50 year cycles (80x50). If i focus only on generation of assets for one 3 year cycle i need 85+H the following 47 years(4000/47). 85H costs 85 per hour.
That is close to impossible until i hit 20/hour right away after resetting. Due to the steep scaling after 80H/hour.
To get 85H award i need to reset between 10 times with the 35H rank . (if you start with 100k and 20/hour you can double the income with education).
You are in this for the long run, and earning more money and happiness then 35 average will not get you anywhere. I recommend autoclicker if you want to play.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
cost of each investment should go up, otherwise it doesn't make any sense to buy any other investment. mathematically it is always better to buy the small investment using a yield/cost calculation
Small: .2%
gov bond: .004%
business: .00006%
large company: 8e-6%
tech giant: 1e-8%
That or the higher tiers need to be gated behind lifetimes
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Performance needs some work. You cycle through pass1hour for every hour no matter how long of a time you skip. on my computer this causes a big stall at higher levels.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i seem to have a problem with the display where all the windows overlap one other, in the "passive/active" window the right column is under the "money category/amount" window. Same with the "degree window" where the first degree is under the "passive time/active time" window even when i scroll all the way to the top.

I want to like this because it seems like it's going to unfold nicely but the amount of clicks required to just to get rolling is awful...
There is no torture, it just means I need to leave the game open all day while I'm work. That's not fun at all.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Unplayable at higher passive values, and because the incremental aspect of the idle is the point, just plain unplayable. But good start. Stay in touch.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Nice concept. I get you with the thought experiment part in the description.
The interface is a bit weird for me tho. It would be cool if there were randomly generated investments you could buy (time limited maybe?), but those might be complicated to keep track of.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For the average happiness, a forcasted result of what you'd get at the end would be nice. In the help window it says 15 on average will give you a boost of an extra $1 I think. Also, there's no indication if this adds up or if the boost will only last until the next boost. In other words if you end with and extra $1 then the next time earn $2 more will you have $2 or $3 as the boost?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
First, in the instructions you call this "point and click", but "point and click" is a very specific genre that this game definitely isn't.
Second, it's kinda fun to see things progress, but unless you micromanage things like crazy, you simply cannot get 80+ happiness average, at least not before 18+ lifetimes (I'm at 18 and I've only gotten sub-80 averages despite trying).
And finally, this game would be a 4-star for me if it had a goal. It's definitely fun but without a goal it gets uninteresting pretty quickly. 3 stars for now.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Option of pause between resets would be nice I think for obvious reasons. Unless you want to add some reset automation as well.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Sliders tend to need options for manual input at some point. Definitely needs auto-idle, but you may have commented on that already. I'm getting closer to first reset, and wondering if the 15 average happiness is a minimum for enhancement of next life, or if you get some small benefit from reincarnation no matter the happy average in the life previous. If it's the former that could be rather irritating.
Future updates will absolutely include an auto-purchase/upgrade feature.
.
The reincarnation benefits are a minimum threshold of average happiness (sorry), AND... AND you get the first tier of education unlocked, which helps a lot. Part of my thought process on this game is that the time spent playing is part of the reward system, so unlocking features is dependent on lifetimes elapsed.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
on the first lifetime, it goes way too slowly without clicks, and the gameplay feels rather pointless, why lock away everything behind the first reset? at the very least don't show me 100 buttons I cannot click
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Look forwards to the development of the game. Has potential. Might as well add the option of auto upgrade and autobuy to the game. It's what most people would do anyone under most circumstance, and would add to the idle aspect of the game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Wait so does that mean we really only need to increase happiness right before we die and start a new lifetime? If so I would be able to save up a large sum on month 10 or 11 of year 50, set slider to max and get the best happiness bonus
That would be nice, but no. The game calculates the average over the full Lifetime to determine your bonus. You must average 15 happiness for a whole lifetime to get the bonus.
Also, I love how fast you’re playing through. Keep going and you’ll be my official unofficial beta tester, haha.
