There's actually altogether 8 types of area within this game. Besides the first few floors, there are arcane tower, iron fortress, under grove, crypt, sewers, magma core and ice cave. To me the arcane tower and ice cave are the most challenging.

There seems to be lots more types of world to explore (that i can see in the loading screen) then i am able to get. I'm not very good at the game and have only made it to floor 11 at best. And i can only really play as the neuromancer..... are the other world dependant on what character you play as? I want to explore them all! Its a great game though, thank you. :)

Played this after beating Rogue Fable 3 a few times. Storm Mage, won quite easily on my first try. Rogue Fable 3 is significantly harder, I'd say. Good backward practice for this one, though.

Nothing like that old bug where it starts giving you the same 'branches' over and over. With it being Iron Fortress and Sewers. Man, did I die so much before I realized I got hit with that.

man I played this for sooo many deaths, and I finally won and the achievement didn't take... So I stopped... but now I have to finish the achievement so I'm not left unfulfilled when I start playing RF III

Found a bug: If you stack a bunch of skeleton bones in the same spot the all rise and attack you with so much strength it will most likely kill you right away.

At last... Thanks PunyMortal, used your strategy and today with a little luck (inferno sword 10 damage found level 2 ^^) I finally got to the end. What a hard but addictive game...

Lobz: Use a Scroll of Enchantment on the staff. With some luck, you can loot better versions, or buy them at merchants. There are also some items that will increase your magic powers.

How can staff damage be increased? I have +100% eletric offense and my lightining staff still does only 5 points of damage. Are the staffs supposed to become useless at higher level, or am I missing something?

Just managed all classes in under 45 minutes. My tip for the ranger is just to ignore range and turn him into a melee/fortitude tank. Hope for some good weapons.

The game plays quite differently as a maxed out Warrior (Melee, Fortitude, Focus) with a +8 Long Sword (28 damage!), and a +5 Dragon Scale Armor (plus some other armor). Not one decent ring, though, but you cannot have it all! :-))

Some silly records:
1st scroll found on level 13 - Well of Wishing! 2nd Well of Wishing on level 16. No other scroll in the game, none looted, none at merchants. I actually won this game with my standard Staff of Acid, but it was very hard.
Most unused keys: 6. Not a single locked room!
Highest weapon level: +7 Long Sword. After increasing its level to 5, I found 2 more in chests. +6 Inferno Sword.
What kind of strange / funny / useless records do you have?

Hmmmm. My spell books are full so my book of stealth isn't showing, which means I can't enhance those skills. Would be great if I could get rid of a book I don't want so it will appear in my inventory so I can use it.

Ah Rouge Fable II...a game about shooting fireballs in oil fields, of needing books to learn how to properly eat mushrooms...truly a wonderful game. Time to go zap myself to death while fending off hordes of *things*!
If possible, I would like to propose that an Impossible Badge be added in for getting the Goblet with all classes.

Completed it on the first try, took me 70 minutes though. Tip: use the terrain to your advantage. It will save you a lot of pain.

The auto explore doesn't avoid toxic gas. Such a bad feature. Lost 3 promising adventures like that now. Frustrating.

the game is suposed to be passed in 1 go. And it nees a time penalty each time you load your save and each time you load the save got overwriten whit the time penalty included.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Since the main measure of success is time, the game could autosave when crossing between levels. reloading from there could carry +5 minutes of time penalty, but at least we would have the pleasure to revive.

Me: I got to floor 12 (farthest i have ever got by far) i have all the warrior book skills, i have melee and fortitude all the way leveled up, my weapons are doing damage in the high teens, and i have a lot of health potions in case i am in trouble
Bloated zombie: NOT TODAY
Me after dying again: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Me: Rage quits for the 17th time
Despite the fact it looks so bad it is actually so fun would reccomend

Suggestions for the next game:
Fire mage: ability to target grass and oil.
Storm Mage: ability to target water.
All non-mage: ability to target mushrooms without damaging the character. (Although if standing on a piece of flammable stuff when attacking the mushroom, then the char. should still take damage)

What kind of rogue is this? Can't even open a secured door without a key. The rogue should be able to pick the lock and the barbarian should be able to kick it in.

The game ends where it would be interesting. Please just max out everything for the character, give it all skills and a good damage reduction. And then add 16 more floors to rampage with an exit at the end.

The way to beat this game: Save and quit before any wish well. Refresh if you don't get teleportation scroll, do this for 2-3 floors, and use those scrolls to get you through the rest of the game by depending on luck and refreshing if you dont get to the next floor.

I recommend reduce the difficulty level like allowing save points in every floor and adjust the difficulty level to every floor so players do not get tired to replay the entire game doing same initial floors over and over again. This is called start easy and then die game. You do not have to hide maps my friend, you can keep them revealed because the hard part would be the position of the attacker and the charge strategy of the enemies. You may just hide the enemy position exclusively and remain all the rest so we don't know where they are. About skills, well, I recommend make them all ACTIVE spells or skills and make the player to choose or GUESS the most powerful ones. Thank you.
