I love the fact there's 3 crystal chests that ALL give skills that use mana while I'm a barbarian that can only use rage x_x there needs to be some IF Variables for instances like this. It'd be pretty cool if there were less random shit and more choose your character growth with a larger variety of items to choose from the merchant. My 2 cents. Love the game otherwise, have yet to beat it. Keep getting close, but sometimes there's those encounters where I think I'll make it and BOOM crit death.

My choice was ranger. no mp cost, small cooldowns.. just putting everything on dmg and shooting to death. good Evade,Crit. straight line skill

Warrior is pretty reliable when you figure out how to play it: https://ibb.co/K2DXNDY My advice: Get power strike first. Stack fortitude before melee - at least 10 fortitude before melee. Always keep a one handed weapon for shields up, swap between that and a two handed as required. If you get a good one handed weapon invest in more shield talents, otherwise don't bother. Use the terrain: Lure ranged enemies to you. Unstable terrain is very powerful. Choke points will let you whittle down large groups of enemies. If you have to, stair dance with power strike. Don't rely on charge to take down ranged enemies, learn to beat them without it. As always, evasion is incredibly powerful. 1 in 10 runs you wont get a decent weapon before floor 10, that will make the run hard but it is still possible.

I finally, FINALLY beat the game. Pretty anticlimactic ending, but you know what I'm satisfied. There was so, SO much luck involved. I used a Necromancer that got lucky and got the Sprint skill. I then just tried to build my HP and MP as much as possible so I can Cannibalize and just keep summoning Skeletons. I DID get a +5 Greater Staff of Poison, but who needs that when you have SKELETONS. Necromancers are the best! But that took so much luck...

A quite easy tactic to clear the game with Necromancer: only level up MP and get skeleton as soon as possible. After that add point of cannibalism to restore MP. I clear the game with a level 20 necromancer with an army of skely.

First run with necromancer-- casted infectious disease on a group of enemies but they charged me too quickly. I catch my own infectious disease from them and the debuff wipes out over half my hp lmao.

I am on the 9th floor as a barbarian using a fire staff. Too bad i put 7 points into melee waiting for an ax or something

Wow I finally did 44 mins w Warrior. It took about 15 tries I would say. Got +5 strength gloves and a flaming sword. Went straight down no side routes. And the key was a wishing well on level 16, I went for a wand, and got a +5 wand of blades which was instant win as it has 10 casts and produces 7 blades each time which gave me tons of cover to run straight for the goblet

My fire mage has gotten gang jumped, molested, and otherwise destroyed 99 times. Will the 100th time be the winning run? Wish me luck!

Finally made it down to level 14. I had survived the herds of monsters on several levels. I made it further than ever before. I even bought a few things from the merchant. I didn't have a key to get into the room filled with gold. If I had maybe I would have had enough gold to buy that +3 Inferno Sword I had my eye on. Maybe if someone had left me a key somewhere I wouldn't have died at the hands of an Ice Elemental who deflected every weapon attack I had.

@jasondeegan: This game ist hard. Food is scarce but there is some at certain points. Ration it wisely. Keep advancing, explore everything before going down. You'll find food, and ways to spend gold - most of the time you'd wish to have more.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game really is baffling. I'm not trying to be obtuse, I'm dumbfounded. What's the point of the gold? And are you serious, the game decides whether you get to play on after 20 minutes by simply not providing more food?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
How do you spend the gold? Get more food? So, you start from scratch every time? Collect gold you cannot spend. Run out of food that you cannot find more of. And this game is rated 4+?!? Wow, easy crowd.

Find the Altar of the Archer, Get +7 Health regeneration ( Talent or/and Charm )
Wait as long as you want and Get As many Javelins and Darts as you want,
The Health Regeneration is enough to offset Hunger damage.
Sell Darts and Javelins For Tons and Tons of Gold.
( *Disclaimer Will take a lot of time and is unnecessary, but for fun? )
P.s Hold Shift and Click yourself To wait 10 turns instead of 1 at a time.
-Fun game, completed with all classes. Strafe attack+ Evasion= Very powerful when Strafe Dodging.

Forget about melee classes, pick a Fire Mage or Storm Mage. You can make some good use of the terrain with these two classes (Fire for grass, Storm for water). Just make sure to keep a decent melee weapon for the Crystal Golems in the final part, they reflect damaging spells. I beat the game with a Fire Mage, was lucky to find a +3 Enhanced Fire Staff and a +10 HP Ring on the way. Also do the bonus dungeons (Sewers, Ice Caves) for extra EXP. Always buy food and HP/Mana Potions from the Merchant.

First and foremost, I love the game.
However, I do feel like the deck is kinda stacked against martial classes like the warrior, barbarian and ranger. The barbarian in particular, since he can't even learn magic. Being successful with those characters really boils down to finding a good weapon by happenstance early in the game.

And SERIOUSLY!!! Why does this game not have a chat room? I see crappy games with chat rooms all the time. This game is legit cool and doesn't have one.

I know it's all totally random, but I do wish every item that dropped would be for your class. I use Necromancer, but seems like I am always picking up equipment for heavy classes, like a helmet or shield... which lowers magic damage. I would be nice if you could implement something in it for that to make chests reflect the designated class. It would make my 4/5 stars into a 5/5 stars. Still great game. Like someone else said earlier, I would love to see a mobile version, I'm addicted!

Finished the game! Used Rogue and became a Master of Arms. Had a War hammer, a halberd, a longbow, an inferno sword, a great toxic staff, a broadaxe and a shitton of javelins. There should be an achievement for this.

Scrolls, and wands are your friends in this game. I was able to win after 10 games with a very strong warrior. I'd recommend you watch one video of somebody beating the game, before even trying. This will help you know of many abilities monsters have, and a good idea of what equipment to buy, or keep when you find it.

For anyone trying to get the hard badge and who is having trouble: Go slow, don't be stingy with items, retreat to favorable terrain, get protection/hp, and use AOE abilities on groups instead of individuals. It's a random game in terms of what you get, but even still, 95%+ of games are winnable. If you're dying it's usually your fault and there's something else you could have done.

If you save up a couple blink and fear/hellfire scrolls, you can rush the goblet on the final area without much of a fight. Just blink into the room, fear everyone, blink next to the goblet, and just pick it up.

The reflect mechanic... i don´t know what to say... had a very solid archer, pressed an ability and got oneshot by the reflect without anyway to know this enemy could reflect :/ would be nice if there was a way to learn about those mechanics beforehand

The best combo for me is ice mage + freezing cloud. Gets 'em every time. Also if you get some charm skill or life spike or deadly disease it's gonna help a lot! And having a couple of stealth/evasion points won't hurt. Don't forget to get those fortitude upgrades and you're gold! Good luck!

Well once you play about 50-100 games you can walk through it but there are still many times when no drop rate or teleport trap ends your journey rather quickly lol Overall a very enjoyable challenge with the cost of trying to speed through it being DEATH! Thanks for a great few evenings getting so close but after dying realizing I had scrolls or potions that could have saved me, one being one tower and I had it but I did not heal and it killed me! AARRRR :)~
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Thank you for all the advice. Made it lvl 9 before I died. It helps to think of it more like chess than to just go for all the kills :) Still, being surprised surrounded/attacked at early levels is frustrating

Windows 10 does not work properly as I hit tab key, it loses foucs and makes me unable to play along. So I have to use q key to auto attack. I hope you make alternative key for tab key.
