Some tips
1. Class : Necromancer is to me the easiest class to win. You can poison and drain health from your enemies from the start, summon skeletons to have an army of creatures to fight for you, and canibilize to sacrifice health for mana.
2. Food : You can use wishing wells and scrolls of acquirement to obtain 3xFood each time. Don't consume food unless you really need to (no health potions or fountains, or hunger with mid health).
3. Fight : Use the surroundings to your advantage. Bring your enemies into unstable tiles. In melee, try to stand next to water. In range, hide behind a pillar or something that will block the line of sight of your enemies. Use stairs or corridors to fight them one by one. And above all, don't rush if you don't know what you're doing.
4. Skills/Talents : Don't disperse yourself. Use the points according to your character strenghs and weaknesses.

@chaindeath you can hit tab to attack with your main equipped weapon too, so you can use that instead of making it a quick weapon

I'm just going to come out and say this, since I see a lot of people complaining about dying from hunger. You're probably too hasty about eating the meat.
I routinely uncover every square of every floor, travel down every side-path, and often backtrack to earlier floors to drink from recovery pools I left. I never once had an issue with not having enough food. Even the very few moments where the starting meat was the only emergency recovery option I had, I survived long enough to find more.
Remember, meat is used for hunger first, health second. (and even then, you can wait until you're at half-health with 0 Hunger to make it last longer)

I put a +1 charm and a +0 charm in the transferance table and hit transfer and nothing happened so I guess that's broken

if you're playing fire mage I highly recommend avoiding putting points into flaming hands and also setting your staff to quick cast so you can hit q to easily attack monsters since the interface sucks

I just went for the badge a couple of times, and using the ranger seems to be the easiest way. It has low risk of dying within the first few levels and some good skills. Best of luck!

Hej, it affected me, I played and reached level 6 more than 10 times without getting the badge, and suddenly yesterday as I reached level 6 I was surprised to get it. So I thought well, it's fixed.

@Saboku even if an enemy is charmed it doesn't mean it will ignore his confusion effect, that makes him attack even his allies, that means that it can attack you too while you cannot attack him. After completing the game with Necromancer, I tried with the Enchanter and it was very entertaining, this game is difficult but also very enjoyable. After many tries I managed to win with the enchanter too, I could try with other classes but they seem less interesting.

Well, though the badge tracker isn't working on its own, reporting the missing badge works well enough to get it for the 2018 quest.
Sorry, we're looking into this now! I can't seem to reproduce the problem on my end, and it's not affecting everyone, but it's definitely a widespread issue. If anyone is able to get the badge to work by switching computers or browsers or something, please send me a private message with details -- this sort of information would be very helpful in tracking this issue down.

Hej, well I cleared the map and the is only one switch and I can't reach it. :/
I agree there should be better rewards for finishing the sewers, it's a hell there and I got only potions.
There should also be some kind of starting bonus once you have reached level 10 once or finished the game, beat the sewers or ice cave. Like a better starting weapon or a toxi or ice protecting boots or hat.
I played a lot with the ranger and never found any bow, while I have found many melee weapons. Maybe the shops could be furnished with class items.

Dang this medium badge glitch is annoying. Especially with the limited-time promotion for the Best of 2018 Badge. If the promo ends before this gets resolved I will be so mad.

DEVELOPER, I had a glitch where the fires were not warming up my character in the ice side quest. I just skipped the sidequest because of it.

I had finished the game with a Necromancer, then the game "forgot" that I had done this. Then I finished it with the Necromancer and the Warrior. Now I come to it and it doesn't remember that I've played the game again! I want to have it remember what I've done. What's wrong here?

Amazing game, although it sure is frustrating how common it is to die because of an unexpected burst of damage, or a sudden encounter that you just can't run away from. I know that this is the style chosen for the game, but I wish you didn't lose everything when you died - perhaps lose half your character level and most of your items, and go up a few dungeon levels would be punishing enough, without making it feel like you just wasted a whole hour of your life.

I'm very angry! I not only reached level 6, FINALLY, but level 7 also, and was NOT awarded the badge! I've contacted Customer Service about this. So beware that you may be gypped out of the badge and may need to do the same!!!

I managed to dominate the Pied Piper, which was really good since he was able to constantly spawn rats to bite all our enemies to death. Sad thing is that I got too attached to him because he was a unique enemy and ended up getting killed trying to protect him...whoops.

just had a (recently) charmed enemy attack me multiple times... so, cause IT was "charmed" I couldn't attack it, but it had 0 issue blasting me repeatedly... WTF!!!

I finally completed it, it was very fun but also very luck-based. I like to play as a necromancer, and I used a very simple strategy, hit an enemy and let my poison do the work while I run away, then unlock summon skeleton and summon as many as possible to have an army to defend me, when I think I can't win a fight I just use the stairs to ascend the previous level and recover (rest and summon more skeletons). The only issue is that strong enemies can kill you with 3 hits but they have to kill your army to reach you :)

For those who want to get the hard badge. You can use "Save and Load" method. Before you get Wishing Well or book shelf or Scroll of acquirement you should save and quit first (Q icon). If you didnt get what you want just restart the website then continue.
Try to get 1.Long Bow + Archer Skill.
2.Skeleton or Confuse skill
3.Hell Fire Scroll
When you meet a group or dangerous monters save
You can beat the game with any class.
My best time without this method is 34min. and with this method is 12m50s

I was able to get the badge with the Ranger (and died shortly after getting it). Increase Dexterity and Range Mastery until Strafe Attack is available. At that point, you can move and automatically fire at some enemies. Might not be able to beat the game this way, but I made it to level 6.

For all of you asking how to get to level 6... There isn't any answer. The game is pure luck on what items (or lack of items) you get. But as others have stated these tactics stop working at levels around 10+.

Getting better but I still haven't beaten it... one request: if you happen to pick up a tome containing talents you already had to begin with, can instead credit 1 talent point in its place? Pretty please? Or at least give me a way to sell it?
