Also using edge and game loads to 99% and then a grey rectangle appears in the lower right hand corner. Can't get it to load up regardless.

Is anyone else experiencing the game getting super slow over the past couple of days. I enjoy playing this, but just in the past two or maybe three days, it has become so slow as to become unplayable. I don't know if it's just my computer, although it's only this game that has become slow. Is it a bug?

Some notes on charmed/dominated/summoned (C/D/S) creatures.
1. Please let the Heal cast by a charmed/dominated priest affect the priest and any other C/D/S creatures in my retinue.
2. Please don't let my C/D creatures Mark me in a fight.
3. Please let me heal my C/D/S creatures at a Health Fountain.

Im using Edge, and the game isnt working :/ it says loads complete and then a grey rectangle appears. I deleted cookies which sometimes helps in flash games that get stuck but nothing changes. How to fix this?, I want to get the best of 2018 medal

Protip: Are you at half health, empty stomach? Well still don't eat that meat. If you don't expect much action you'll heal extra over time once you eat. Also don't eat if you're just about to level up, since that will refill your HP anyway.

Just beat the daily challenge as ranger without ever getting an upgrade from the starting weapon. Mostly used boots of speed + strafe attack to whittle down enemies. Not a very enjoyable run.

@DoppleGanger01 The consensus among experienced players is that food is never an issue. There is guaranteed food dropped on floors 4, 8, 12, 16, and with every merchant (guaranteed floor 9), which is more then enough. If you are running out of food perhaps you are eating food too early, or are resting too much.

So, the hunger mechanic is bullcrap. Just.. bullcrap. When a player dies of hunger, it's because there wasn't any food anywhere in the dungeon. It's just a cheap death, and that's all there is to it. "Oh, you wanted to beat this game? NOPE. How about we just not supply you with enough food instead, so that you starve to death in the middle of the swamp? Doesn't THAT sound like more fun that actually BEATING the game and getting a sense of ACCOMPLISHMENT?"

Shields Up uses raw weapon damage, so it's powerful with things like Javelin. Yet, Javelin at close quarters deals unarmed damage...

Ice mage should be re-balanced, weak attack skill(cone of cold could knock enemies back but you need to use it multi-times to finish all enemies, freezing cloud couldn't stop enemies at high level as they could use range attack and have high hp) and imperfect defense skill(ice armor +5 protection doesn't really help). You need to keep improve focus to increase mp but the skill power will be weak :/

My best time is 8:41. Only attempt super speed runs w firemage - spread talent points amongst fire mastery, fire ball and focus only (rarely sprint if you get it). You rely on fireball to kill enemies. Don't explore. If you see the stairs, go down. If you see a pit, jump in it right away. Find a wishing well/scroll of summoning if possible - Goal is to get 3 scrolls of blink or 3 of scrolls of blink/blink charm/sprint which allow you to completely bypass all enemies in the easier of the two vaults of yendor(lvl16).

Also, there are two chest traps - the one that releases gas when you open the chest and the one that triggers the flame vent that burns the grass around the chest and damages you. When auto-exploring by pressing E, the guy correctly avoids the gas chests, but it will happily open the fire trap ones. Because of how fast he moves when using E, you will not have time to stop him before he opens the flame trap chest and dies. I believe he should avoid the flame chest too like he avoids the gas chest.

I believe that when travelling by clicking the minimap having a ranged weapon equipped, you should not auto-shoot shootable objects that happen to be in the pixel you clicked on the minimap. I just ruined my 5-day run because I clicked the minimap, the necromancer went, aligned himself to the fire pot that happened to be there, shot it and died.

honestly it took me a week of tries to finally end the game. when I finally did I was disapointed it ended so abruply. I wonder if you could add an infinite mode after completing the game
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Laurapalooza the problem isn't that I couldn't avoid them, it was that there were so many I could not get through the hallway. If I avoided the explosion then more ice bombs would appear closer to me.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@13electrode13: you CAN avoid the ice bombs. they only shoot horizontally, vertically and diagonally; if you stand beside the bomb, then move two squares up or down, you avoid the explosion.

In the ice caves I literally could not get through simply because the statues repeatedly put ice bombs in my path which you can't do anything about except wait until they explode, and the final room is only accessible through a two-wide hallway, and the statues can't be attacked until you get through the hallway. Please change it so that ice bombs can be destroyed or make ice statues spawn them less often. Also the ice statues can shoot and spawn ice bombs without a clear line of sight, which is complete BS because nothing else in the game (including the player) can attack without line of sight.

Just created a new account to try and start again, but it did not clear my data. What do I need to do to clear my poor attempts at beating this game?

Usually, I found none correct equipment for the character until floor 3-4, sometimes even floor 8(and then I was killed, of course! XD). Could I start with 1 more equipment?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Woohoo. It only took about 300 tries combined across characters, but I finally managed to survive. Sadly the game just ends and doesn't let you go back to do all the side dungeon stuff.

Just a little tip: don't jump down while you are on last level, you will just die. I thought I would have found a bonus level with crazy loot but I just died.

@Darches Your inventory has multiple parts to it: Top left is for weapons and projectiles, bottom left consumables, and in your character window it fits everything. Your level and exp are displayed top right under your MP. Bats are fast enemies so they can move twice per turn. Rats should not be able to move and attack. MP is used for spells. Charms are charged by 1 for each turn they are equipped. Shields up does use your weapons damage. Being careful of terrain is super important in this game. With enough experience it is possible to win 80%+ of games, so I don't think randomness is an issue.

@Flypool Food is guaranteed to drop on floors 4, 8, 12, 16 with every merchant so guaranteed floor 9, and on the 4th floor of side dungeons.

Why can't I drag items to certain slots? What do circles around enemies mean? Where exactly is my level or XP displayed? Why can bats and rats move and attack in the same turn? What is mana used for? How do I charge my charm? Does "Shields Up" use my weapon damage? This game NEEDS a tutorial. Also, I walked into a lake and what was on the other side? 3 storm mages. Dead. Game difficulty is extremely random. Eh, 3/5.

@sharkhunter & @yvesson - you were on a sidequest, you have to backtrack after sidequests. Next time try reading the in game instructions.

I just don't understand the hungry stat. Sometimes is very difficult to find food or a merchant to buy some. I just died for not found any piece in five levels in a row.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Pantherwolff For each kill you gain 1 rage, and your cooldowns are reduced by the amount of rage you have. 10 turns without killing anything and you loose 1 rage. Each point of rage increases your melee skill by 1. Barbarians are unable to get MP.

Dont use a key on the final level 4 locked doors, use the switches. If you use a key, it breaks the game as you can't push the final switch after clearing the floor and you cant finish the game. argg

Rogue games are never really my thing, but this one seems a touch more difficult than many others. The food dynamic perhaps is not necessary.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
seriously the convenient way to use a staff is to put it in the quick use slot but then you don't get any bonuses from wielding it it's so dumb
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the controls for this are such a mess. if you set your staff to quick cast to speed up fighting then you end up unable to destroy mushrooms in your way using that staff unless you unequip it from quick and set it to regular attack it's such a pain
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@CheesyMoo there is one huge advantage to barbarians: strafe attack. Basically get strafe at level 4 and strafe around your opponents' attacks. Having a ranged weapon is really helpful too.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Am I missing something or is the Barbarian just really weak?
He's like a warrior that can't use magic and takes forever to get your abilities to recharge... are there any advantages?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Please add an endless mode, with ever increasing damage and health of each enemy after floor 16. It would be so much fun to just keep going with a great character and see how far you can get, It would add an additional option to test your skill past beating every character really fast. Please make this addition, it would be so good.
