Occasionally its in a secret room. You want to look for big obvious empty spots on the map then search around there for secret doors. They look like the faded outline of a door in the wall. Good Luck!

I have allowed the >150 scripts this page runs from >20 sites free reign through my security settings and the game still doesn't load. I just get a scrollbar appearing on the side of a black window.
I'm using Firefox 43.0.4 and Windows 7, so nothing unusual there.
A shame, as I have fond memories of Rogue and roguelike games.

There needs to be an immediate key to stop movement for when you click and the pathfinding wants to go around the entire dungeon instead of opening the damned closed door right in front of you.
Thanks for the feedback! Working on an update so I'll put that in with the space bar or something. I'll do some tests with having the character auto open doors if you try to path through them as well.
Armor reduces the amount of damage enemies deal. The max armor is 30 so 5 armor is going to reduce damage by 1/6. The damage is factored in when displaying their damage on the screen (the red text), but you can view their max damage in the encyclopedia in game. Magic, fire and cold resistance works the same way, so the optional fire and ice branches are quite challenging if you haven't found any resistance gear and not recommended.

@justing_wang123 Oh! thank you! Your fonts are good to me (I'm on whatever he latest Chrome public release is), I just need new glasses lol. That they are sleeping makes way more sense than 222 :)
Thanks a lot! It's actually a ZZZ indicating their sleeping. I sleeping enemy is much less likely to spot you. I did text fonts a bit differently with this project so I think some people may be seeing things slightly differently.
Thanks for letting me know, I'll look into it. If you have time could you try one of my other games and let me know if they work. I want to isolate if the problem is with this game in particular or with the framework I'm using.
Nope, there's an end. You eventually reach a sort of nexus with a few branches that can be explored. Continuing down the main branch will eventually lead to the end game on level 16. It gets pretty challenging, I've never managed to beat it myself yet BOO, but my friend did manage to finish it once YAY.
Well that's good to know. Had a bit of a freak out when I realized it was running at 5fps when all my testing on Chrome had been at a smooth 60fps. I'm gonna try updating firefox and see if it fixes it.
