Just upgrade allys first to there max then cannon and then get other weps then engine then shield! Allies die fast so make sure you upgrade em asap. When that is done upgrade your weapon then engine then shield! Go enjoy winning that badge!

5/5 great game.
Just start with 120 point upgrades,dont upgrade anything besides wepons.Everytime emeny upgrades you also upgrade your team...worked for me.

Seems a good strategy here is to keep your ship between the alien mother ship and your own base, playing defense and being conservative, not attacking the mother ship too much until you've upgraded a ton. Being patient and building up your upgrades is the way to go.
