Beating the dragon should be easy enough.
First off, the dragon tends to open the mouth and the next one after, closes it.
Eat the fireflies after the dragon disappears or passes the firefly while the mouth is OPEN and then retreat to the first platform.
The next time the dragon appears, it's mouth is closed - use this time to get the firefly and retreat to the edge of the first platform
Once the Dragon opens the mouth again (after it was closed and disappear), either escape to the bottom or jump up
Then the dragon will have it's mouth closed again, pick up the firefly
Retreat to edge of first platform....repeat until you have all five fireflies
Then you can either risk it and rush to the rune or wait once more when the dragon closes it's mouth....

Very well designed game, and I like how the controls are very tight. Lots of platformers have horribly floaty controls but this one is spot-on. Good job.

i found a pattern in the bosses movement. he bites at the top (of the screen) the closes its mouth and then goes on bottom with a bite. the closes and repeats over and over. . . . . so who likes tacos. . . . anyone?

The animation is pretty good, especially for William. The game is fun, and a nice change. It was a pain getting those mushrooms, the game was fun. 4/5.

the last boss is pretty simple.
He doesnt steal your fairies with his mouth closed and the opened mouth is first up then is a closed anywhere then opened down and closed anywhere and the same from the beginning

The last boss (giant darkling)is impossible for me. I know, in theory how to beat it but i can only ever get 3 firefaires at the most. It's jaw is just too big.
