I wouldn't call this a terrible game, it's just unbearably unbalanced. The first few levels (not including the 'tutorial' levels) were very easy. About half way through the game reached the perfect point of difficulty; not too hard, but certainly not a cake-walk. But then, for whatever reason, the game decides to give you the shaft and have the enemy AI utterly rape you no matter what you try to do. I mean, it would be nice if the AI actually USED tactics. Having an AI starting in a sector with 3 in close proximity, and you with 1 sector a mile away from your 'main base' is hardly considered a "defensive" AI. Well no crap it has good defense, it has 10 times as many forces as me! But like I said, the middle part of the game was actually kind of fun, so I'll go easy and give a 3/5

Enjoyed the game, though it's similar to others. Agreed that the computers tend to gang up against you, but this is countered by the fact they are too aggressive (even blue), and they don't seem to value a 3 over a 1.

Istari, I've been playing the same levels for half an hour. It's not a matter of strategy, it's a matter of the computer starting off outnumbering you, outproducing you, and having faster travel times to the planets you need.
Add to that the fact that the both computer players prefer attacking you to attacking each other and you have a nightmare.
So don't tell me to 'suck it up'.

For all those people complaining about how hard this game is, suck it up and learn the strategy, play the level a couple of times and look at who ends up winning when you lose and send your ships against them early, in almost every multi computer level, one of the AIs will win the majority of the time

This adds some welcome features to this format, the "auto-send" is a god send, the lack of an upper-cap on ships at a given star (or at least it's high enough that I never encountered it), as well as showing the production rate directly on each star.

Wow, I can't believe how popular this game got! I was the 27th person, (I checked the plays when nI got on for the first time.) to play the game, and now It's in the Hot New game section.

@@... its kinda... sad that there i can onli use mouse to play... would be nice to have shorcuts w/ kb... makes it alot easier. cuz clickin is just boring in a strat game.

Probably the worst game of this type that I have ever had to play. They should put in a 0/5 for games like this. It took me twenty minutes to do one level because the response of the "stars" is like stabbing an elephant with a toothpick, no response....

1st couple of missions are ok. But once you get to mission 10 it becomes Impossible to win. 1/5 for extreme difficulty.

Need some spelling checks, need to explain top right number, in the instructions, seems to need a some balancing on levels, seem to win by luck more often.

This is a horrible game.... Level 3 IMPOSSIBLE. Yes, it is like Nano Wars, EXCEPT you move only in one direction.... Horrible no tactics involved 1/5

soon as you hit level 6, the computer has such a disgusting advantage, you can't beat it.
At least I can't. Maybe I haven't found the 'make the game playable' cheat code yet.

i like this game. the interface is good. only exception is that when the "click for next level" or "you failed, click here" box comes up, it would be good to be able to exit to the menu 4/5

I have played so many games like this but this one seems to elevate itself with the "auto send" feature. Controlling key stars is much more important than "land grab" tactics. I love waiting for my enimies to fight between themselves and then walk in and own everyone! If you're stuck, make sure planets/ star things at the back are auto-sending up the line.

I like how in this one the armies on the move beat any enemy armies they come across. Other than that, its a fairly fun timewaster.

@gzex: This game is similar to many games, yes, but RTS is an accepted game format, like TD. And tower defense games are all rip-offs, too...right?
