i just figured out that you have to put cables on certain sides of a building. fuclk that just let me have a cable near it and let it work

Living quarters do not seem to provide oxygen or food, my colonists still go to the Hydroponics or the oxygen station.

Really a great game! It takes a little to get used to the pipe system (took me 3 missions to find out I can build electricity on top of water) but then its fun for much more time than the average game! Great job, rotating buildings would be nice but fix ports make sense to me.

It would be nice to known our production/usage rates for food and oxygen. would make it easier to determine what to built, when.

Really nice game, but i could be so much more, thanks for the recent updates, i hope you guys keep updating the game and make it more interesting, i normally have enough when i have all the buildings 2 power and 1 water and no more then 10 colonists, that's all you need to clear every map. You don't even need the research center or the storage :S Add some more resources on the map which you need to complete projects for earth, like a rocket with rare minerals, or a big bio dome, so we have more reason to explore the map further in search of those resources. Add more buildings that use water, some more challenging enemies would be nice, an armory, gardens and entertainment for your colonists, etc. just make it more interesting.

My colonists went on strike, apparently, and are refusing to build anything. I've the wiring and the pipes laid out for the hydroponics, but they are simply not building them. I have all the materials, its simply not being built.

@Glucharina .. yes that is what happened, I ran out of metal and kept buying more... It was getting used up by my component factories but I really didn't understand what was going on... Tutorial could use a few extra screens like "this is water under ground, this is metal under ground, you can build things without the required m and c, it shows here etc. etc."

One thing I'd like to point out is that there needs to be more of a tutorial at the beginning. The tutorial character is spending all that time to just sort of goofing off and not really explaining anything, and a lot of pretty important details about just the basic instructions are not even getting covered. It might seem, for example, like it's not important to briefly mention that you have to be able to actively view metal component locations before placing an extractor on top of them...until you try to demolish the geo radar that's displaying them in the first place, just to make room for the metal extractor. That example was pretty easy to put two and two together and figure out anyway, but some of this stuff takes a lot longer to get past. Less goofing off in the tutorial, more time actually explaining things please.

Good game but the execution is a bit flawed, metal in the ground should last a bit longer, rotating buildings would be a big plus, or being able to schedule building in stages then execute the stages as resources are generated.
As for the story, collecting "science"? Hmm, how bout there is a nano-plague eating Si based electronics so everything is GaAs based. Add a macguffin of naturally occurring high purity GaAs crystals and you have your collectible "Science".

Sometimes my worker just won't build the final fields of an electric connection... would like to assign them to a site.

Looks like someone played a lot of C&C Tiberian Sun (music, graphsms) and Earth (piping) ;). My only complain is that piping slows the game a lot in the current state. It could be solved in differnt ways : being able to rotate buildings (but that may involve a lot of work), being able to connect from any side of the green or white square (basically the same with 0 work involved, I love this one), less expensive piping, water pump/metal extractor area increased by 1 or water/metal amount increased (not forced to rethink your system every minute). Overall, 5/5

Could use improvements on : Zooming, usage stats, single unit control and rotation of building (in build mode). However, even without the improvements 5/5 , great game

It's super frustrating when you assign roles, and no one does them. People kept leaving because no one was building pipes, and everyone was mining. No, we have 500 "Science!" I told you to stop. Lance, I hired you because building is your thing! Do what you're told! God this is annoying.

I was enjoying this game... I got to the component mission and for no reason that I can think of, my colonist just stopped building... They wouldn't build power lines, power plants, storage.. NOTHING. No indication why and no way to resolve. I had a lot of all the resources.. I ordered resources to be sure that I had some of everything (I had a ton of science due to not be able to do anything other than mine.) I set all my colonist to BUILD / REPAIR job only... no difference, they just ran around ignoring all the buildings that we ready to build... BOOO :(
