Hrm, well, I disagree. I feel that the spear is definitely the best weapon for the cavalier because in late game you simply cannot allow bladewings or catapults to attack; your walls have too few HP and can't be repaired. You need to have charge so as to be able to eliminate enemies quickly, especially since the warrior desperately needs guards too and his damage special cannot be relied upon to clear the lane. Plus, use of charge also increases the damage credited to the cavalier himself, which helps him level faster.
Call to arms is also immensely powerful, especially in conjunction with magic mirror. I don't think the cavalier is weak at all.

For those that say the cavalier sucks, you do not chose the best weapon/armor type for it... for instance, why go with the spear when it does nothing for the guards? along with, what is the true advantage to call of arms, when catapult volley does nothing for accuracy? Simply put, just because you can not effectively match a 5 line to randomize the board again does not mean the class sucks, only that you can not take the full advantage of the skill provided.

@Devintuel Then why are you playing this type of game, if you don't enjoy it? People don't all like the same things, you know. I don't care for shooters, but I don't downrate them or fault the game, just because its a genre or style I dislike.

I'm starting to think the level-up screen is not at ALL accurate. If my knight was losing as much dps/health as it claims, or my mage as much, then the numbers on the inventory screen should be WAY different then they are. So I think its a display issue, but the actual stat changes are far more reasonable. What they are, I haven't a clue, but...

^ weird.. my comment got munched. 1. Game is hard, thus far - that's a good thing 2. The board goes stale too often (meaning only one move of three available for far too long).

There's a lot to like here. ****. I like where you are going with the PQ formula :) Two comments: 1. The game is hard (at least m not sure how you could get around that but I find myself in between frustratingly tense and bored when the playing field is so weak for minutes at a time.

Knight gets +0/+0/+0, Paladain gets +0/+5/+ while Battlemage gets +2/+10/+10.
This game is a bucket of repetitive piss.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Bayne420 Because thats not how match-3 games work? You will find some that change it up by having that kind of matching avaliable, but you have to balance the game differently for that to work. Standard matching games only count it if your matching tiles along a horizontal or vertical line.

why is it that can only combine for a 4-5 by having it a certain line? why not 4 in a row while in a square? or a 5 in a row with 3 and 2 next to one another? Sorry can not illustrate the exact layout needed to have above criteria met to make items appear

really bad bug. All of my front battlements are destroyed, and the only thing I have left that I can do is place a mage. THis is of course impossible because I have no where to place him, but its blocking me from getting mobilisation.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ok.
4 in a row = normal special..
5 or more in a row =advanced special
but how did i get the purple looking item that says it stuns all for 5 seconds?
the stun didnt work but i still would like to know which combination produces the rare special

My knight gets 2 health at level up, my cav gets either 0 or loses health/leadership, and my mage always gets 2 dmg, and around 12 health/leadership. Fix this before you put in badges, please?

In addition to the heroes having their own level up scheme, I'd like to see an overall "skill tree" to improve some general attributes, like a permanent +1 to heals-per-match, or a +1 to the tiles that increase the archer/sword/slower building levels, so you can get them higher faster. Nothing too amazing, but a little something so you can improve through the game. Alternatively, you could be given a choice between two "perks" every 5 or so scenarios, which would have basically the same effect as a skill tree, just simpler.

They added achievement code yesterday. How long does it generally take Kong to implement them once someone adds them into their game?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A good idea imo would be to have an unlimited level that is activated once you finish the game. TY for such a great game

Yeah, I hate to keep harping on the same topic that everyone else keeps harping on too, but did you do ANY playtesting for balance before you released this game? Most of the bags (the wizard's default armor) grant extra healing per match. So the wizard, who hardly ever gets hurt, has the best healing potential. The wizard, who has the lowest need for guards of any of the heroes, has the best leadership. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that the wizard, who is the only hero who lacks a penis, gets to wear the most supportive codpiece. And I don't know how to improve on the mental image of a female wizard wearing a codpiece, so I'll consider my commenting done for now.

Skeleton 1: "This bloke can't hit us from here. Should we stay back and hit 'im until he dies?"
Skeleton 2: "Nah, lets just charge into his sword that can kill us in one hit"

I find it strange that the horseman consistently gains less healing per tile and less experience than the other two heroes.

somebody had made a comment about showing the load time because their computer loads slow, just watch the crown, after it is all filled up the game is loaded.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've noticed that the wizard seems to gain better stats too when leveling, consistently a fair amount of health, awesome leadership, and the occasional damage point. My knight once gained two levels in a row without ANYTHING changing. No damage, no health, no leadership. If stat gains are randomized they should probably be made a little less random.

The less guards you have the more experience your heroes will earn. In my opinion it would be more fun if heroes experience was not based on their damage.

Horseman was dead when I did 4 in a row for him. It resurrected him and used his charge ability and he never came back :(
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yeah, it's a great game, but...It's not that the mage is more powerful than the other two, it's that the mage is EXPONENTIALLY more powerful than the other two, and shoots ahead of the others by several levels. I just don't think the melee heroes work. By the time they even get to attack anyone they've either already had their health bombarded into oblivion by ranged attacks, or else their guards have done most of the work for them so they hardly get any experience. I guess it's not gamebreaking, but that's mostly because the mage has a lot of specials that help all the heroes and compensate for their incompetence.

Horsman is so weak... he could use some extra health and leadership.
Skip button would be really usefull becouse sometimes waiting for wave is just annoyin'.

Warrior is actually the weakest lane in the later levels since you can't simply soak your way through AOE and wall damage. Also, his direct damage special is by far the weakest one since it does less damage to secondary targets and also suffers from a long animation.

Very entertainment. It reminds me of puzzle quest. However the gameplay gets very repetitive. Unless I'm missing something, all secrets are revealed by level 2. And it may only be my PC, but I just finished stage 11 and it took a good half an hour. Smaller chapters and a few more features to shuffle it up, would be really cool.

Great concept, and I've enjoyed playing it, but whatever is wrong with the horseman is making it unplayable. I'll be back when you get that fixed.

i would have apprecaited a loading bar. my computer is very slow so it would be nice to know har far along the loading is

Great game. Satisfies the puzzle solver / killer in me :)
One thing tho...I really dont think the one achievement is possible ... upgrade all guards to max. The level ends way too early. I am not even coming close to getting that achievement.

One of the best genres mix i've ever seen, just loved it, awesome job developer!
That's what I like to see here in kong, great simple ideas that make all
the difference!

as you level up more, your characters can wear more equips! and based one the equip theyre wearing you have that ability. a little something ive never noticed

wow im so sad i played that one game rebuild and its the best game on kong right now but i thought it was going to be an epic zombie building game its a fail... the graphics are shit and ur guys die at 3% percent risk how stupid....
