HECK YEAH. I love games where the kongpanions play a good part not to mention to a launch game. I am a huge fan of this game!

Not the worst I've played but there are a lot of issues.
1. The rocket/ball mechanic is very punishing so it's never safe to boost over 25
2. Launch power, thrust, and max fuel all suffer due to the mechanic.
3. More objects become too important for long distance runs due to the max speed issue. This means rocket becomes even more dangerous.
4. Money is awkward. You suddenly go from one or two upgrades per run to buying 20+.
5. OMG the Kongs. Left right arrows are not acceptable when there is over 100+ items. Even though there are only few stat boosts, the owned bonus means you need to find specific ones to get the best stats.
6. Some of those achievements are pure grind. No one will ever get them through natural play. I got all the distance speed and upgrade ones but i'm barely a quarter done with mines MAX.
7. Bugs, you can't even see the kongs in the upgrade screen and a few unlocked randomly without being reached.

For some reason the kongpanions are way too big; the last time I played this they were the proper size. Still enjoyed the game though!

Maybe I'll play the Kartridge version in the future to get the badges again. Unless it checks the Kongregate badges and immediately gives them to me, but I don't think that's the case.

Not sure why others are having issues with the game. I played a few hours today and love the game. No freezing up or issues with not being able to buy upgrades.
Remember that if the balloons are like hitting a "brick wall" or stopping you, try curling up in a ball like the game mentions. They actually bounce you up.

In the end, just keep accelerating to 20-35 miles per hour and hope that you'll hit enough springs, so your speed won't decline every time you hit the ground and you'll have enough fuel left to regain your lost speed if you do. Use short bursts. Don't use all your fuel in one go because if you hit a balloon, it's over. Reaching 500k feet will take over 15 minutes for a single run and 1-2 hours in total. Get coin bonuses to earn more money, so you can upgrade faster.

Don't use the rocket if you're already at or almost at max speed. It's not worth the risk of hitting a balloon and losing a lot of speed. Don't use all your fuel even if you can still accelerate because you need some extra fuel to recover in case you hit a balloon.

The easy badge took me 13 minutes. I'm playing for over 1.5 hours and still don't have a medium badge. Although I assume that when I buy all upgrades, I'll be able to reach 500k feet, so I'd get both medium badges close together.

The game works fine for me, but I have an i7 CPU and 8 GB of RAM, so maybe it would lag on a Pentium Dual Core. Although it's not the fastest by a long shot. It's only a 4th generation laptop i7 CPU in a 6 year old laptop, so way slower than a modern desktop i7. The difference wouldn't be too big from a modern i3 CPU or maybe it's even slower. Some Flash games do lag for me though. Mostly 2D Halo clone arena shooters for some reason.

Buy the power generators first. They make you go much faster. Here are the upgrades you need to buy in the order of how many upgrades are necessary to get them. The first one is on the left next to the start. The second one is 4 down from there. The third one is 5 up from the start. The last one is 7 to the right from the start and 2 up. Always aim up, because height is the most important. You'll lose your horizontal speed very easily with balloons and you can always just use your rocket to get more horizontal speed. Upgrade coin bonus at the upgrade selectors if available because they give you hundreds of coins per upgrade extra.

I didnt have any problems and got all badges in like 45 min! Focus on coins and magnets from the start, as well as fuel, and you will march on quick as a launched armadillo! :)

also having buggy upgrade screen, which i've seen people in the comments mention already, also having issue where neither cannon or power bar won't oscillate

cute and addictive game! I like the background mountains and the opportunity to have and play with any Kongpanion. the Kongpanion system as whole could learn a lesson or two from this, if you ask me. as for the balloons... if you're so intent on giving us floating brick walls, at least make them look like brick walls, not balloons.

Starting to dislike the game for the change avatar spam, and despite buying the items for more items balloons, mines, et cetera I still don't hit any... it makes this game a massive grind, so what was a good concept quickly becomes boring

Once you have bought enough upgrades and bonuses to earn over $1million each run, the game becomes much more easier. Thanks coin multiplier and magnet. And yes this is a tough armadillo for being launched by cannon to the speed and altitude of an airplane and survive.

As for the BotD, there has been way too many of this launch games lately. Perhaps, even the same author? Kongregate, a bit more variety please.

What on earth was that "replace your avatar" thing and how to disable it?! Also, no way to get to the main menu other than reloading the page?

fuel recharge is OP. With 43.4 percent of upgrades and just tvs tuned to fuel recharge, i can keep a run going indefinitely. Finally just quit out after going 1 mil feet.

From when I first placed this was 5/5 but coming back to mess around again, I'm finding it to be absurd how you cannot instantly retract the rocket even though your window of view is absolutely tiny and you're flying 200mph at balloons that act like brick walls. Like, even when I see the balloon in time and release the space bar, the game still takes a half second to morph me into ball mode, causing me to collide with the balloon. Due to this absurd combination, I'm dropping to 4/5. Even simply having a larger area of view, ideally one that grows/shrinks as you accelerate/decelerate, would fix this problem.

there really needs to be an ending I traveled over 1 million in a single run collected all upgrades got up to 15,000 height and gathered about 11 1/2 million coins on a single run.

Lovely little game, my only critique is those final-upgrade characters that fly alongside you. They just muddy up the view and are a serious bother. They don't feel like upgrades, they feel like I bought myself problems.
Other than them this game is very cute, I love the armadillo, nice graphics, and I love the option to play muted.

Sooo i'm encountering a bug on the upgrades screen where occasionally it won't allow me to press next no matter what i do. so i have to refresh. This has been happening consistantly when i open the static screen that says i get a new shiny kongpanion x2 x3 it's gliched though and keeps going back and forth and not showing an image.

coin bonus and coin magnet are overall the most important upgrades for getting money, since if you use kongpanions to max out those two upgrades, you can get far more money than you would get without them.
