Not that there's going to be any updates, but if anyone ever republishes this they should make it so all the components, not just the manipulators, can rotate. That'd make it much easier to streamline your contraptions.

Baffo -- the circle must only contain the Hematite molecule when you release it. Because there's another element present, the circle isn't correct. Your solution works with one small amend -- if you change the final arm to be quicker. Instead of grab, two extends, release and two retracts, replace it with two pauses, a restart symbol, then a four-step cycle of grab, extend, release and retract. You only need to extend it one space to be within the circle, and the changed rhythm releases the molecule earlier, which is enough to avoid this problem and let the solution work.

This is an extraordinary game; my brother showed it to me, and we've been sharing solutions since. It's fascinating trying to find your way to the answer, and even when you don't have the best answer - which I never do - it's incredibly satisfying to see your mechanism working. Excellent!

@baffo: I had that problem too, but then I realized it takes a cycle for the finished molecule to be absorbed. The collision is occurring before the molecule is getting absorbed.

Just for the soundtrack this game deservers a 5/5, but it's not just about soudtrack, the game is awesome! Difficult enough to be challenging, but without scaring one away.
Truely, a masterpiece =)

The gameplay can be fun and entertaining, but I gave this game 5/5 solely for the soundtrack! It's so beautiful and creative. Much effort was put into this, for sure! Great game :D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I agree with all the top comments here, everything about this game is absolutely brilliant and beautiful. From the graphics (even though they're relatively simple), to the soundtrack, to the ranging complexity of the puzzles which can drive you mad, especially when some puzzles seem like they're so simple at first. Yet you keep finding bugs 50+ cycles in...you fix those, feel great, and then something else comes up a few cycles later...then you finally get everything working, and you feel like the best coder in the world. It's great. As someone with a longtime interest in computer science and coding/programming, I think a debugger would be really nice here, but the added challenge of not having one makes the feeling of finally solving a puzzle that much better. Multiple solutions per puzzle and the "you have to play it for a while to get it" (quote from 19matt's comment) also make it lots of fun to see what the most efficient possible solution is. 5/5 and added to favorites.

With how wonderful a finished working machine... well, works, I'd love to be able to save the final result, either to a file on the game or just text I could store somewhere.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game desperately needs a tutorial to get your feet wet.
Here is how I did leve 1, just to get you all started: I put the hilt of the manipulator 4 spaces above the iris or rather 3 spaces below the number 5. Then I programmed: clockwise, extend, close, clockwise, clockwise, open, clockwise. Well, with lots and lots of trial and error.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
it would be nice if you could temporarily disable a manipulator (without altering the programming) so that you could test how the rest of the solution works
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@zoe12345678 you need three manipulators, two to get them to a binding glyph and one to move it to the end glyph. make the cycles of all three of the manipulators the same length
