This game is based off of lots of real-world research.
Farms produce TONS of smog - the crops themselves don't, but the tractors, the natural gas that's used as fertilizer, the animals (cow farts, etc). Even regular corn farms produce quite a bit of smog.

Man, the first one was one of the best games ever, and this added even more stuff. Really just entirely awesome. And remember, kids, a flame turret seems like a fun time, but the smog is worse than if you had just let the zombie come through and eat Lars.

hmmm... in the full report mines produce smog, but in the production list of the mines is no smog... now i dont know whether they produce smog or not....

Your researches get carried over to next round unless you lost a round. That means your tech tree can be max out by round 5, making it alot easier to complete the game.

that ugly four-way swipe has to be removed.. I mis-clicked and now the game's locked into the tutorial/campaign mode..
I was restarting a survival/sandbox map. =/

'z' doesn't always work.
The game needs an actual free-play mode, as opposed to this campaign.. which acts like a tutorial for many of the missions.
The game is extraordinarily easy once I got the hang of it.
- keep pollution down
- build nuclear power asap
- get resources asap
- upgrades for power sources first
- spend everything to build as much as possible while you have daylight, then save up for night.
- minor turrets and lots of energy towers.. not the red lightposts, the real ones.
This game has lots of potential.. the theme could easily be expanded A LOT.. with weapon research and upgrades too.

Yes, AWESOME song at the end; my only complaint is lag (ESPECIALLY) when there are large waves of zombies.
SPOILER ALERT
For those complaining about not getting to see the credits: konami code

cool, but too easy and feels short! good ending song too =)
tip: electricity rules! build lots of thermo thingys and use electrick trucks, they rule.

Smog naturally decreases over time, at the rate of about 45 units per "cycle" (15 seconds.) If you can produce less than 45 units of smog per cycle, you will have a "smog deficit" and the smog will eventually reach zero.
The less smog you produce, the faster it decreases! Try shutting off coal plants when you don't need them, disable extra farms when you have a farm surplus, and research upgrades for coal, natural gas, and your fleet fuel. Eventually its best to move to zero-emissions power plants and then disabling or demolishing your old coal plants.
Also, you can click on the resource bar at the top of the screen to get in-depth reports about what everything is producing, including smog.

I find a ... bug? What's happens when you end a level with a energy deficit? I don't find a way to get energy with energy level at zero :S

Awesome game 5/5, but i think that an autosave feature may be great (it's not really necesary, but anyways it's useful)
