Mr. Lift's muscles should get bigger as you upgrade him so by the end he is just a tank of mass. (except keep the chicken legs, we all know he is skipping leg day...)
That may be a future graphics feature, if i can figure out how to fit that in with the pixel graphic's theme (I've gotten that suggestion a lot, so it's one of my top priorities)

Love the platinum bench. It looks like he is just bending his back sideways and lifting some weights and he does it really fast as well.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I would reccomend changing your scoring. Upgrading Mr Lift should effect his speed while upgrading the bench would effect the CPR
Yea, this has been mentioned, and I TOTALLY AGREE. But, the amount of variation i could give to Mr. Lift isnt as much as the bench, and I wanted rate to have more intervals of increase than CRP... so, because bench had more variation and rate needs to be upgraded slower, thats why I have it the way it is.

I am very pleased to say that I have added highscore compatibility. Simply press the "Submit" button, and your scores will be saved!

I'm bumping you up to a 3/5 for speeding the game up, but it needs a few things, including the ability to delete your current file, more weight, upgradeable substances, and maybe something else.
Upgradeable substances coming, more weights are a possibility, and you CAN delete your current save file! Do this by right clicking, selecting "settings" then dragging the slider all the way to the left. Once you did that, refresh, and then either allow the game to use your storage, or do the opposite of the first step.
It does. Look at your current cash, and watch by how much it increases. The sprite (+1, +2, +3 etc) *WILL NOT CHANGE*, but the amount of money you receive *WILL BE DOUBLED*. Sorry for the inconvenience that the numbers caused, but I assure you, as i have tested it multiple times, whey protein does work :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Does the whey influence click money, or just idle money? Cause I got double money for 15 seconds, but didn't get double money. I was clicking, don't know if it affected idle reps.

3 stars for a nice start. You need ideas? I am not a game designer, nor a programmer, but I see a potential to have stats, such as strength, endurance, hunger, etc. Perhaps different upgrades could modify these stats, more weight means less endurance, but faster increase in strength, hunger reduces strength, but can be fixed by purchasing energy bars, upgrading the bench could give more endurance, but less dollars per lift. There is lots of room for a fuller game experience. In essence this isn't much different from various 'mine' idle games. Look to similar games for examples.
Hmm... I do want to make mine unique, other than having an awesome setting (who doesnt like to lift), but I don't want it to be TOO complicated... but updates are definately on the way, so stick around!

"Click to totally work those biceps"?! Dude do you even know what muscles bench pressing works? O.o About the upgrades you can add upgradable protein, creatine, aminoacids, vitamins, diet, heck got add some methane and roids while you are at it :D
(Secret: No, I don't. I actually don't like benching... deadlifts are better)... I was thinking about steroids... I'll probably end up having it so that you can upgrade your supplements (whey protein --> sterioids)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
boring as hell. 2 upgrades, with far too large a distance in between upgrades. oh wait. its not too long, because its so boring that i cant be bothered to care. try actually placing some content in your projects before uploading them, because this is worthless.
I've said this before, but I don't have a problem saying it again: I really would like to help you, but, honestly, I dont know how. It may be something with your storage settings, but otherwise, I can't help you :(
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The Whey Protein thing is good, but at first, I didn't think it was working right. I think you should change it a bit so that the number show twice the amount of what it normally is (As in, if it's 7, it changes to 14 while it's active) or add x2 at the end (As in, if it's 7, it says 7x2)
I would like to do that, trust me i would... but stencyl makes it really hard (at least for me) to do such a thing... Just bear with it, and remember that the game doesnt lie--if it says you are getting double money, that means you are getting double money
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is stupid slow. I feel like you can't have possibly played this before sending it out. It's unfortunate, because the concept is good, which is why you're getting a second star at all. 2/5

yo dude i love this game what is the name of the guy who did this vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeJnITpcdHc&feature=youtu.be
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
lavaflame, in response to an earlier comment, increasing the power by 1 is fine with the idle rep speed increase. The speed increase doesn't affect clicking, though, meaning that eventually clicking becomes rather pointless. I would suggest an upgrade that would decrease the number of clicks per rep.

Maybe you could consider adding other work-out stations in the future, turn it into a full weight room instead of just a bench press. Your guy could keep his upgrades and make upgrading the other equipment easier, gives us a little more variety. Solid idle game, though.

First I want to say this idea is great. It's a perfect idea for an idol/incremental game. Second, as user asegw has said poor execution. I want to see a better gym or background, maybe make it an upgrade for the background building to you get to the ultimate gym or someting. Maybe some other gym equipment would be great, with it's own uprades. maybe make more upgrades like break his movement down more, like how fast up he goes and how fast down he goes, and maybe even a burger joint cause anyone lifting that much all the time should have to eat and sleep. IDK, so many ways u can take this game I just hope you take all possibilities and put them in. I want to say nobody ever goes far enough with the idol game to make a great game, and this is one of the rare ones that could be totally epic if you go for it. Challenge!

I really enjoy idle games, just flood me with upgrades. I want to be able to buy pre-workout, whey protein, personal trainer, the book "Starting Strength", upgraded gym membership, etc. All things that will make Mr. Lift better somehow. These things need to improve; speed of the reps, money made per rep (as you already have), but also how much my clicking does,. If you are really ambitious you could make it a gym idle where I can move him from machine type to machine type and affect different muscles, getting more of a bonus for a well rounded physique

After trying every new idle game that's been on kong for the last couple months I actually really liked the slowness of this, instead of always being able to upgrade something off the bat you really have to work for it. Overall only seeing two things to upgrade means this really needs some work, but it's a nice change of pace.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Done upgrading one of the shortest idle games ever.
Might want to "add weight", increases income but decreases speed a little, maybe something we can add or decrease at any time so it can be balanced on the spot.
I am constantly thinking about adding more stuff... I'm torn between adding more benches/Mr. lifts, or adding another upgrade. But ill try to update it by later today!---------------EDIT: added whey protein

The problem with increasing the reward/rep by 1 each time is a matter of percentages. I can't click any faster, so while the first reward increase doubles my reward, the second increases it by only 50%, then 33%, 25%, etc. Yet, the cost increases exponentially.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's backwards, isn't it? Upgrading Mr. Lift should lead to more reps per minute; upgrading the bench should give more reward per rep.
It is backwards :) But the bench had much more potential for upgrading, and Reps Per Minute had much more potential for being upgraded... if you get what im saying
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Maybe after like a bunch of upgrades you can see his body get a little stronger? Like more stuff for his biceps? Idk just an idea :p
Dude. I totally lift. You know those feels when you bench 100lbs? Times that by 3.... then double it... and you will know half the feels that I feel when I lift bro.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Funny idea, but you know, only two upgrades, one of which grows rapidly in price is not enough. Especially when non-idling takes gazzillion clicks to get any upgrade.
As I mentioned in another response, this is meant to be a VERY casual idle experience--I dont know about you, but I hate games like cookie clicker that entice you to click and click and click and click... if you want another upgrade, go outside and play, come back in 20 minutes, and BAM! you will have enough :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Decent game with potential. I think the benefits that an upgraded bench and an upgraded Mr. Lift give should be switched. Why does an upgraded bench upgrade the reps per minute? Shouldn't he be able to lift faster as he gets stronger?
Needs more upgrades as well. Perhaps upgrading the location of his bench (start in the street, then his apartment, then a house, etc.); the type of protein drink he uses; and maybe how much of an impact clicks have on his reps.
I made it over the weekend, and posted it to see the feedback. Since the feedback is so positive, I'm going to be adding a lot more features (I agree with you though... doesnt make too much sense now that i think about it)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I kind of hoped it would speed up a bit, its just a bit too idle. With the idle games that people like most it starts in a way you can progress quite quickly by being not idle - this one not so much.
By clicking, you go 5-10x faster! But I assume you have the same thoughts as others do, where it doesnt progress fast enough. I can change that :)----------------------------------EDIT: added more non-idle features, and increased gameplay speed!
I meant it to be more of a casual idle game--leave it on, come back later, spend some points, bask in your magnificent lats, leave it on, repeat. I'll be adding stuff though, so dont worry :)
