It's frustrating when you're out there, filled with newly crafted items from what you've gathered on a trip, and you're crafting a new item to reduce the weight you're carrying (seeing as there's no way to store the items and you have to carry everything!) and suddenly the "ok" you click on to retrieve the item is unresponsive - meaning you have to reload and lose your progress, items and xp. Listen to the players, you have plenty of interesting feedback, and it's never too late to give it a few tweaks.

Wandering through an island with nothing but a bunch of pacifist baby beetles and baby snakes, whom you have to kill in masses, for whatever reason, to progress. What a boring, generic crap game. And 4.2 stars for this shit, supposedly one of the best rpgs on this site? Game developers must be the greatest idiots in existence if you consider how many crappy games exist that even my 8 year old cousin could make more exciting.

Tip: kill lots of beetles and get 4 packs of 6 shells and combine 3 shells with 3 shells and you make plate. plate + leather armour = plate armour

Awesome ! I've beaten the final Boss with a lvl 32 Char., equiped with the Paladin Set. Hard fight, the Boss was blocked in the bottom left corner. :s
Tip for those who wonder about the Pet : take a "hitter", not a "thrower". I mean that you'll need help on this last fight, you'll see why in the Quest description... :P

Amazing game, long to play, and it's tricky for crafting everything.
Long ago, I found that link, it helped me a lot :

Be sure to check the Map, it's really useful to find all the items, the Bosses, and the Sigils. :)
+ If you want to keep that alive.

**** and one half *'s pretty dang good, to earn the last half you should make your pet's stats up and down as you want

That would be nice if they told you where to go next, because I was woundering around the world for 2 hours to find the right way.

Make the important items like Blood Oceanus and like Imp branch or like items used to make stuff in the forges into key items
that cant be thrown or sold

If you need some leveling to help before the final boss go into The Forgotten Forge on the map under the "DS" in "The Molten Fields". If you go in with the warrior skills equiped you can make your way to the forge area at the bottom of the map and gather most of the level 20ish and do a spin, shield bash, and some thrusting and kill most of them, leave through the "door" you came through and come back to do it again. Especially good if you switched pets for some reason late and need to level them.

Morning Star is acquired late in the game weighs 12 with 28 attack and 3 magic. Razor Blade can be acquired early weighs 15 with 28 attack and 3 defense. So to do so make sure and collect iron ore for those little "piles" you see around. Craft 3 iron ore with 3 iron ore then craft a alkahest with 3 iron ignots. You need 5 iron globes to craft with the cute little wooden sword from the weapon shop Astraea's Bastion. I wouldn't snub my nose at using a Dartanian either it is a quick little sword if you don't need the excess power at any given time.

Castaway 1 had issues and many have been made better in Castaway 2, but... Having items that can be missed that lock off the entire end of the game. Having the new autosave function while it is possible to have pet blood viles lay on the map exit while the blood also is lost on map exit. Mixing mouse and keyboard in actions that need fast responses. Some items should be auto-collected or given and then be protected in your innovatory mainly pet blood and gate opening items. How about a dialog that resists leaving an area while those things haven't been collected? Either the game needs to be played without autosave, but with the ability to save manually at any time or some of this needs fixing. You shouldn't have to go into a fight knowing what you are supposed to find for later to be sure you have everything just to keep from restarting.
