if you hate pets you don't have to use them. but i also agree that pet permadeath is really stupid. it takes SO long to train and then is dead forever.

The biggest problem with this game is the pets in my opinion.
1. They can't have any armor at all because they take sickening amounts of damage
2. You can't buy food in the general store for your pet, so your pet is basically bound to die at some point since you WILL run out of food for it
3. The damage of the pets is terrible. I have painfully leveled one up to lvl 25 and the damage increase they get for each level is just laughable 4. Pets start at too low level which makes them completely useless for at least until level 20 because before that they almost die instantly. It feels silly having to tell my pet to stay at the entrance all the time because it will die if it goes into battle. I do have many many other issues with this game but the pets are the major flaw in my opinion.

Overall I think the game has got potential to be very good. However, I do agree with other commenters that the controls need to be improved greatly. For instance, creating a hot key system for Attacks/Abilities/Inventory would be great. Non of this clicking back and for to get to stuff during battles. Also, while I get the convention that connecting land pieces jut out arrows would help greatly, as would objects becoming translucent when the character or an object is behind them. Last comment is on the leveling, so far its ok, though I can see how it might be frustrating at higher levels if the level rate continues at this pace. I'll post again when I'm through. Keep up the good work!

everything is awsome but the first area cause wen you do the sand generator it says lvl 5 but u should be lvl 7 and needs echivments 5/5 still

One good thing about items, though... Similar items stack up. So, you might have "Wild Berry x5" instead of 5 spaces taken by individual Wild Berries.

Just completed the game without exploiting any of the bugs. Have to say it was rather disappointing since it had no ending to the game/story. Was a lot like the Ys game but simplified. Would rather have more spells and ability before the end but the game ends with one magic per shard making it useless to store shards since i didnt even use magic with the long cool down time.
Have to agree with the majority:1, arrows or indicator that the exit leads to another room/section. 2, HP should not regenerate or there should be a timer of say 30 secs where you gain full HP since it's obvious either the monsters cant find you or you exploit the item drop trick where monsters cant get to you. in this case i dont want to wait 5 mins for my HP to restore. 3, change movement to mouse or add keyboard short cuts for actions. 4, separate the items page into 2-3 pages. 1 for equipment and 1 for shards. 5, fix or tweek so you cant exploit some of the flaws and finish the game in relative ease

Arrows to show where other areas of the map, more inventory slots and the general store selling pet food would be nice.

My pet died, and I want to reload the previously saved game. How do I do that? The only option in the traveler's den is save the current game.

this has the visual polish of a finished but in a genre that has had about 20+ years to evolve and find what works and what doesn't it saddens me to see the potential squandered by a horrifically bad intererface, no music / sound controls that I would find add to the mess, controlling yourself only with the keypad and ordering your pet around with only the mouse, having to click that small attach icon EVERY SINGLE TIME, this problem was fixed before Diablo! btw, take a look at that game and then look at your interface again and tell me there isn't a problem... this kind of mistake could only have been made by someone who doesn't make games...

I agree with amulmuzz. Such limited inventory space really limits a game's playability. Instead of having fun playing, you're constantly deciding "Ok, I can sell this, because I need the room more than it"... only to (possibly) realize later that it was the item you needed for a quest, or for its actually better stats.....

YAGA (yet another grinding adventure). I have quests lined up, but I'm spending time, time, time on walking to and fro, fighting repetitive monsters, and collecting the same handful of items. The hints and instructions are thin -- for instance, once I've learned my first fire spell, how do I throw it? No such instruction -- I just have to grind until the spell slot happens to turn opaque (full intensity), which is off screen.
This stuff is fine for beta play, but really detracts from a production game.

I have not tried it yet but i saw my brother play it and i read the comments and the inventory sounds like a big issue. When pets die you should be able to resurrect them some how. Make hot keys, bigger inventory or ,like in pokemon, different pockets for different types of items. Giving the pets equips that increase they're attack would be nice.

Ok, got it to load on another site and . . . hard to see much positive in this, honestly. The graphics are nice, but the gameplay is 90% autoattack, you have to keep your inventory open all the time to keep chugging potions for yourself AND for your pet (who dies FAR too easily), the questline appears to be entirely rehashed in each zone (a couple kill X missions, one giving a new skill, a couple get X drops missions, one giving a new spell, and a go to X location mission to unlock the next zone) . . . I could see a sequel doing well, but it needs a LOT of work, right now it feels more like a proof-of-concept lacking any detail (other than the aforementioned graphics)

And man, the fact that dropped loot items become obstacles is INFURIATING. I can't count the number of times my pet's been killed because I have to wait for the loot to appear, pick it up, then walk around to attack the enemies attacking my pet by which time my pet is already doomed because it takes five times as much damage as me due to insane damage scaling with combat ratings.

After a few hours, I finally found the village entrance: IT'S AT THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER OF THE FIRST MAP! Could really use some arrows to point at the exits, I was on the verge of quitting the game because of something so silly.

Like many others, I have to ask, how do I get back to town after the first quest? The snake road will always snipe me and I can't run away. Am I supposed to grind at beetles until I can kill the snakes?

This game has GREAT concepts...just, looks like the creator published it hastily and half-baked.
Pros:Combat System, Pet System, Magic Skill system, Great graphics and music...
Cons:Slow movement, Glitchy, Items blocking your way, very small inventory, low choice of gear and items.

The biggest issue I can see is the inventory slots. I agree with the others but I don't see them as huge concerns. The inventory slots become a huge problem when a piece of treasure drops that you don't have room for, so you will need to drop something in order to pick it up. While doing so however, your pet gets attacked by a monster that has just popped, and you can't get there to help him because you can't walk across items that you haven't picked up. I've had a number of pets die this way and it's an absolutely ridiculous flaw. One that would be solved - as many have suggested - by having more inventory slots, or having equipped items not count towards your inventory. The other issues I've seen mentioned are annoying, but are more things that would make the game easier, not necessarily inherent problems. Very enjoyable if that issue were fixed.

Inventory is too small. Regeneration is too slow. Pets need to regenerate; it's very frustrating that they don't. Mouse click navigating would be great.
Lots of potential, but right now it's largely annoying to play.

well this is a great game but as other people commented it really needs a hotkey system to the inventory becouse u can end dead while opening the inventory. Needs a pause button too becouse if u have to go 4 sumthing and u are in a dangerous area you can get attacked. Needs arrows pointing the exits. Needs autosave after you complete a mission becouse if u can die in the way back to the town.Really needs a multiplayer and a sequel, or make the game longer becouse it was a bit short.
