This is really good!! All you have to do is add a few creative ideas and a background story. But you have the basic mechanics down. I am looking forward to a future game!

An honest review:
Its a great start, better than I was ever able to do. A few tips though.
The spikes are good, but should either block movement, or vary the length and speed of their movement. I think Fireballrop had a great point, saying all you need is some sort of a
background story (like a mario parody or something).
Learn how to use and understand Actionscript, once you can code things with AS it makes the game come to life.

i find another bug, when you walk to the left at the start(dont ask why i do that xD) you just keep falling and have to reload the page. But still good for a first game 4/5 :D

Fix the health system and the money. Bugs of health: you only have 1 hp Bugs of money: when you collect 3 coins, then you get 0555 money and when you find a new one, then it is 05555 money...
