well, funny idea but you overlooked something. I just started spamming clicking and you'll be invulrenable that way and still dmg everything, and after a while everything will be dead except you, it kinda takes away everything making such thing possible, especially because it's extremely hard not to spam

I loved the first one.. this one is kinda retarded and trying to hard... First off the delay between u drawing a slash and it actually happening makes it difficult to actually deflect many projectiles purposely... the platform crossing is entirely retarded usually he just runs of the stage before he slashes so im constantly taking damage. The boss is another epic annoyance. You have only select spots where u can land and these all appear to be on fire. On top of that it appears to be set up to whenever the screen adjusts as u climb the cliffside that the boss can still attack and ignite platforms... Meaning u sit there and roast while the screen scales up... I didnt get anyfarther than that.
On the plus-side... the first stage was actually playable and very fun. The boss fight was actually interesting there

The gameplay itself is very solid, the inclusion of platforms is irritating and takes a lot of getting used to, but not that punishing all things considered. Love the air combos. What really bugs me though about this game is the difficulty. It's HARD AS ****! The levels are obscenely long, and while you don't run out of lives and can always continue where you left off, it takes your points away... If you want to beat it without dying a lot, good luck. The bosses don't even attempt to be fair. I'm currently on level 3 and probably not gonna make it too far...

VERY disappointing - relating to the first part this doesn't deserve the ratings it got. but that's kong, rarely anybody is thinking about his vote anymore.

As for review: Disappointing. going to play first one again.
Missing: Upgrades, tactics part, exploration.
Bad improvement: Level lenghts. I liked the shorter ones. Flying enemies+platforming: it's not even the difficulty increase, there is a continue and you can perpetually stay cutting, it just doesn't feel like an elegant epic samurai combat any more, rather like a cheap hollywood ninja action movie with jetpacks and laz0rs...the first one was a true "eastern" thing. Pity, really.
Also, platforming just wasn't fun...sorry. It was manageable, but definitly not fun.

2nd level, platforms, bombs raining. an arrow saying go pointing up, nothing i do makes a difference. slashing up, standing around, trying different platforms, slashing at bombs. I don't know IF i missed something obvious or if it's bugged, or my flashplayer is not new enough...either way i feel i am at a dead end here.

Also, seeing as this game is pretty hight-tier on the challenge front, maybe difficulty levels in yoru next installment?

The platform boso bit wasn't that great, because the movement system jsut isn't precise enough for that kind of platforming. However, the enemy designs were amzaingly creative, the fighting was fun, and the characterization, while miminal, was nice. I can't wait to see more.

For all you scrubs who haven't beat this game, you should know that you can chain slash in this game unlike the first SHS, in other words you can stay in that "invisible unrealistic cutting zone" indefinitely, as for the platforms, yea they kinda suck but if you just slice back and forth on one or in between two you can do every section of every lvl without dying. I give it a 4/5, still 5/5 for SHS 1 tho

Disappointing. It's what, in my opinion, happens when the developer feels like everything has to be revamped, while the simplicity of the first game was what made it good. Played it, finished it and liked it. Not as much as the first one, but liked it.

I must say, I enjoyed this game a lot and I'm quite surprised at all the negative comments. So... it's not as polished as it could be and maybe not very original in design so what? Its still fun for a Flash game . . . 4/5

Love the style, jetpacks is a nice touch, platforms are a tad difficult but not enough for children to justify their crying about it.

disappointing. it looked promising at first but the game play is the worst! the mechanic of using your mouse for most everything was interesting at first but after a little while it just got bland. i think this game has potential but it definitely needs something more than drawing lines through enemies! Also the visuals (like the rest of the game) were boring. low quality animation and generic art style. the icon of the samurai's head in the corner showed a very cool style but it was not to be seen anywhere else in the game. Also a few cut-scenes would be nice. i'd like to see another installment in this series were it to incorporate such things but otherwise, don't waist your time.

This... this game disappoints me. The first one was good, but needing to slash the head to get an instakill is hard. Plus, the bosses have ridiculous amounts of health. I'm gonna have to give this a 2/5...

finished it, but let me say i have no clue how i did it!! killed that turtle boss after i died 6 times (was it 7.. 8... ? oh well...) and i don't know how i did it!! guess it's the second time i say this about one single game: complete fail!! chaged again to 1/5!! :(

Gunpowder was invented around this time and since China and Japan were so close to each other, the gunpowder quickly traveled from China to Japan allowing people to use guns and I guess mediocre jet packs.
