you ppl say you feel old when you see this? i played wolfenstein, which was before doom, which was before quake. computer games seem to have accompanied me my whole life :-)

Note to Kongregate:
Do any of you remember the old days of team fortress, for Quake, and the massive following that it recieved? If you do, I suggest finding a way to make this happen on Kongregate.... I would never stop playing on this site!!

you cant beat old fps like this, personally my favorite is blood by monolith, i loved that game soooo much :c anyway you could make that? :c

kelenestus; i went with an xbox style layout- WASD for movement, l/r arrows for looking around, up/down arrows for looking up/down, spacebar for shooting, enter for jump, and q for switching weapons (dunno about how good that is, since i always use the hotkeys).

It's nice, but the interface is crappy and the game is hard to steer. No offence and pardon my language but it's True, you can barely understand the interface (You can but it's hard) and you need to press the mouse button the whole time you're playing this game? Ok so you shoot with CTRL I can deal with it, but it's hard to look around the place and make your way to places, as most things look similiar, the walls are mostly the same all the time and you can get lost quickly if you don't pay attention. Ofc I play it well, just as pretty much any other game, but it's a bit ridiculous, no offence. Good scripts, not bad graphics for a game as it is, but all the above explains my opinion. I gave it A 5/5 for the effort though! :D

this is great, just like the original. Except for the fact that the default controls closes the tab when you fire while moving forward.

those of u who want to do a secret level with little gravity go to level 4 (the one with all the water) and get inside the building and u will have to press 5 buttons. when u press those 5 buttons u will see 2 chutes open up on the walls. go down each one and u will see a button. press both of them. u will see some text saying a secret cave has opened. go back into the water and stay to the right of the water and u will see an open hole in the wall. go into the wall and head up. u will see a portal and it will end the level

god - Enables God Mode (invincibility)
fly - Enables Fly Mode
kill - Instant death
give S# - Gain # shells
give H# - Gain # health
give N# - Gain # nails
give R# - Gain # rockets
give C# - Gain # cells
give # - Get weapon #
noclip - Walk through walls. Repeat to turn off.
notarget - Monsters won't attack you unless provoked.
impulse 9 - All Weapons.
impulse 11 - Display runes (you don't actually get them)
impulse 13 - Silver key.
impulse 14 - Gold key.
impulse 255 Quad Damage.
map ExMy - Warp to episode X, mission Y
skill # - Sets difficulty level (# = 0-3)
sv_gravity -# - Reduces gravity by #%.

The controls are a bit challenging. Rather, i am challenged at the controls. I just can't cant get my pinky to go to the control key in time to kill those guys. I think i am just challenged haha. Good game.

Those that complain about the graphics are idiots, this game is pretty old and graphics at that time weren't great. When it came, this game was one of the best of the best. And it still is. Good classic 5/5

It's very addictive.
Though pls do fix the mouse scroll because teh mouse just stops when it hits the edge of the screen.

I'm not accually in to these types of games, but I enjoyed this one ^^ The gameplay was smooth and simple so it was all around fun. Plus there was plenty of resources everywhere to keep me alive most of the time. I'm going to stop playing though, almost been playing for a hour now... 5/5

I beat the full version of quake as well as dissolution of eternity and some other expansion pack i cant remember the name of, as well as finding every single secret in all 3 games, but playing quake as a flash version on kongregate is a bit much for me.
