I get 3 stars the first time on every level... until Operation Japanese Rhapsody. 5 losses in a row. Time to re-examine the upgrade tree...

Oh...try not to upgrade a position when the enemy, especially vehicles are near...this resets the attack timer and allows the enemy to pass unhindered.Sheesh!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
And...I could not upgrade the position in the upper right of the second scenario without touching on the settings icon...really?

Hey bazooka/anti-tank guy(s)... aim for the fricken tanks/vehicles and let the machine gunner(s) worry about the infantry!!

seems like you didn't do anything different than the last version of this from years ago. where are all the improvements like targeting priorities? Area damage? Upgrade paths? Fix the problems and this would be an awesome game.

Kvaak you messed up whole idee of quick game - discovering. You fooooool its like to tel the ending of a movie at the begin of it :( thx dont want play this game anymore and it was looking quite interesting. Ived saved few hours by not plaing this game thanks to the fool. BTW his Id is also stupid

I can appreciate how much work and effort goes into making a game like this and I offer the following as constructive criticism. If you are going to design a TD game that does not allow the user to set target priorities (strong, close, armored, Infantry, etc..) than you had better spend time on your A.I. targeting. Difficulty should not be based on horrible targeting exclusively.

Aweful gameplay; targeting issues before all. The graphics are quite neat yet I highly favour a working and thought-through game especially when it's something as common and widespread as a TD. Sorry, but its not all about looks, a challenge is welcome but then give players the means to beat it.

Recon is VITAL, a bunch of unupgraded riflemen can handle massive amounts of infantry as long as you put your recon right in the front. Anti-armor has crazy range with recon so you can put those at the very back. Always upgrade your recon first, anti-armor second and riflemen last (prioritizing dead ones, upgrading revives them instantly). Especially in the early maps you might need two recons together to keep up with the vehicles, two upgraded recons are cheaper and more effective than one anti-vehicle recon, although they can't mark heavily armored vehicles. Don't bother with snipers, anti-tank specialists or infantry recon.

To all people complaining about Rockets doing no splash dmg to infy;
These are HEAT warheads, not HE or Frag. They do not explode in a wide fireball and a rain on shrapnel, but rather burn through the armor in a single spot. Please, +1 to let people know.

of the few comments I've read, all excellent suggestions, plus why do vehicles take more life away but reward you exactly the same as infantry? You have to balance that out, it aint cheap to make those high end rocket launchers...

If you have any problems beating maps for 3 stars - build recons! At least two per spawn point - better three. 3 recons 1 gunner 1 missile does like 6x more dps than 1 recon 2 gunner 2 missle

fun game, just a couple of issues though. 1) rockets in the first two tiers should do some amount of splash damage. Maybe within a 15 pixel radius it deals half damage to infantry and 1/4 to armored units. 2) tooltips detailing what exactly an upgrade does, i.e. going from rifleman 1 to rifleman 2 a +5% increase in range and damage. A possible third would be to show where artillary and air strikes are going to hit instead of guessing the direction and duration of said strikes.

there's a certain lack of explanation but once you understand that the recon increases the range of other units by a LOT, it becomes easy to just put a vehicle recon up front and anti armor in the back, the recon will focus the vehicles for the long range rpgs, meanwhile a couple machineguns will clean up the infantry ^^

Really close to being a good game. What's the point of rpg's if they have zero AOE? Just for taking out vehicles? Heck my higher machine guns should be able to do that... yet they also have a hard time taking out large numbers of guys... Finding it hard to keep playing with these issues.

lack of info on basically everything. i can barely tell the units apart and i don't know what the upgrades do. horribly unintuitive.

Modern Anti-Tank Weapons have a very small AoE, so they are pretty accurate in game.
I do think the Javelin should be the Anti-Armour weapon and the TOW the Anti-Tank weapon however. Javelin can be fired from the shoulder whilst TOW requires a full up mount etc.
Additionally, I'm aware of an incident where an insurgent was escaping on a motorbike. No sniper available to take him out, so the team used a Javelin instead. The insurgent jumped off the bike and tried to run for it. Unfortunately, he was a larger heat source, and mobile...

Only problem with this, otherwise excellent game is the targeting priorities. And I'm pretty sure I don't really need to explain that further...
Also, since we have scouts, rocketnests should be able to coordinate their attacks better, if one targets a small vehicle the rest should target something else, kind of stupid to bomb one pickuptruck with four massive rockets :P

So Arty was taken out and replaced with... recon... uh huh. Why not just add on recon instead of taking a whole thing out? Also, it'd be nice to be able to add barricades and maybe fortify the positions of troops so they take less damage/add armor or something like that, so there's more than just max leveling them.

Honestly I feel like this is less fun and less refined than the first game. It is really disappointing that I cant get anywhere close to all the upgrades. And whats the point of the harder difficulties if you don't get anymore stars? I'd say it should add 1+ extra stars for each level over recruit that you beat. Then you'd solve two of my issues at once.

Units that can die in a tower defense game are only interesting if there's a way to protect them somehow. Here, units dying is just an annoying constant. Like respawning is a replacement for reloading.
Also, I can mute the music, but it just keeps unmuting itself after being muted for about a second.

1. AoE damage for artillery
2. What's the diff between anti-armor and anti-tank?
3. The upgrade path for the towers w/in each level is too short and the money is off-balance. I end up w tons of cash and no upgrades to spend it on.
4. The diff between difficulty levels is too narrow
5. There is no return for trying and failing at a level
6. I like the idea of the recon towers - that's a nice unit but the advantages of each tower (aside from guns for soldiers and rockets for tanks) is not clear enough
7. Unclear if Achievemnts get me anything
8. Almost nothing of the text for each mission is relevant
9. Why would I pick sniper? There is no boss on each level that a headshot power would be useful and snipers aren't great against masses

Neither machineguns nor rockets do damage in an area, making infantry a pain to kill, and furthermore, those rockets, despite being largely ineffective against infantry, are often targeted at infantry instead of tanks... Even more bizarre is that a bazooka will rather shoot a marked tank rather than an unmarked tank that is about to cross the finish line.

I must kill 5 to get First Blood? The stat of each tower is not clear. I know you may want to make it looks like military equipment details, however please try to keep it simple

Nope, this version is crap. It's way too small and can't be resized. I gave the other one a 5/5 but this is so small it's unplayable: 1/5
