It is impossible because it isnt coded into the game so it is impossible!

i beat it without burning rope... press down rapidly and it hurts him... he roecovers tho, so do it fast and keep it coming

For you overachievers out there:
Your weapons (in this case, your not-so-handy throwing axes) can actually damage him. Try to kill him WITHOUT BURNING THE ROPE.

lol i was reading a small review about this and someone said they have been trying to beat the boss for 3 hours and still never figured it out, they were complaining the axes didnt work, I think whoever it was, was serious XD
