I AM THE WINNER i have successfully defeated the boss WITHOUT burning the rope you just have to stand next to it for a long time throwing your axes jumping up and down to avoid the boss's attacks it is possible but very hard

It is so easy you can clear it in something like 10seconds there isn't anyone in the whole kongregate who could not clear it!

LOL I just realised that you can actually damage the grinning colossus with your main weapon, but he recovers really quickly so you can't beat him that way.
