why do range fighters switch to melee, they have a set number of ranged shots.
ghosts are a problem, use the root, and let range destroy them, they gain health when they deal dmg, dont let them hit you.
gold picks up as you progress, let your ranged units carry the weight, saves you from wasting gold hiring to replace casualties.
buy a catapault early when you can.

Alright everyone attack the castle, except you three. You guys just stand there and let those ballista shoot at you while the other two guys get killed. Go team:)

fantastic game. Had a few grievances with AI, such as why do range fighters switch to hand to hand combat. Overall one of the best games we've seen in a while. heck, all we really see anymore are idle games. 5/5 for not being another idle game and actually being good!

This is so much closer to what I was looking for from Heroes of Might and Magic then the newest release. Thanks for feeding that.

On another note, if you're going to give the player the ability to create an infinitely multiplying stack of superpowered ghosts, don't arbitrarily take all those ghosts away, just put a cap on them.

Now what? Run around for 30 minutes to get 5 salaries in order to be able to buy a ship? Obviously I am just going to waste the salary on playing Barrels before I ever get to 500..

When you get the ghosts the game is beyond a cake walk. They multiply forever. After a battle and you ghosts gets his "freedom", just replay the battle and they stay with you. I had over 10,000 ghosts at the end and beat the last boss in 20 seconds.

fun game but there's a definate problem with the gold collection, i ran out of battles and ran out of chests so now i have to litterally just wait till i get enough. No active way of gaining except for barrels, and that sucks.

PLEASE either give us the option to speed up the combat or keep the game running while we leave the screen. Combat is way too slow.

Also, ranged units do have a shot count. They only fire so many times before becoming melee units. That explains what happened to sly. Its not very common to run out of shots if you have large numbers of archers, unless you use druids. They only have 3 shots

For those having problems winning... always distribute until the very end of the game. You can get money from winning fights. More archers = less damage taken = less troop replenishment costs. Use as many ranged units as you can with 1-2 strong tank groups

in the original you could hold down space to pass time faster which is very useful when u die late game , summon boat spell would be nice, has lost alot of the feel of the original, with named/styled castle battles (hack the rogue, murry the miser and all that). Being able to pick one of the 4 classes would also be nice. i had hoped for something closer to the original but 4 hours later ive missed dinner and my evening is gone

Enemies don't seem to respawn, and salary takes a long time to cycle - this leads to so much down-time that I lost interest. Nice game otherwise, though.

I was liking this game until the ghost showed up, which forced me to restart my game & give all of my treasure chests to leadership points.

Step 1: get all treasure and kill all enemies.
Step 2: Die by a Ghost that can't be killed
Step 3: wait around forever to get salary and get money to boats just to get back to ghost and die.
Step 4: repeat step 3

Two things: One, could you make it so that when you buy a boat from a town, it destroys any boat previously bought at that shop? Or just destroy all your boats upon death? It's bugging me to see a bunch of boats that I can't use anymore. And two: Please let enemies respawn after a while. There needs to be some way to farm for xp/gold besides waiting.

Comparing my experience to the Walkthrough, and it appears that the artifacts you pick up in any given location, as well as the enemies you fight at the first castle are randomly determined. The latter resulted, in my case, making that first castle impossible to defeat, because Ghosts, who can kill 10+ pikemen, arbalesters, or goblins, and 30+ pixies or peasants, in one hit, and whose numbers increase by every kill they make were one of the enemy stacks. I got slaughtered once, then came back two more times with full armies and was slaughtered twice more. By comparison, no Ghosts at the castle in the walkthrough. That randomness element can break what is otherwise a fine game, and that's no fun at all.

lol good walkthrou .... u get to fight a druid for the unicorn sword and i get to fight a ghost that get stronger per death of my team .... kinda imposible fighting a enemie with 200+ hp

You really need micromanage of troops, now since my archers were stupid and aimed at random creeps i have 180 ghosts to battle and they take out my army in one blow. Change this pls :)

A good game torn asunder by inconsistent quality. (1.) When you die, you should either spawn near the area you passed away in - or the nearest available town. Back-tracking is not fun and takes away a good portion of the experience. (2.) Add the ability to micro-manage during battle. Letting the artificial intelligence take control is frustrating to watch. Why are my archers heading towards warriors? Are they looking for an early grave? (3.) Add the ability to purchase your armies in castles and villages. The current way of growing your army is redundant and needs to be changed. That's all I can write in this comment for now.

really nice game, kinda heroes style, the leadership stat is nice, there is only 1 problem i found, and its the scroll of resurrection, i dont see how i can use them, i cant use em out of battle nor can i use em while battling

cool game but there is too much going forth and back. walking makes this game more boring than it should be. also spells should have hot keys.

so now I've lost my entire army on the castle, the ghosts are too strong, and I have no money to rebuild, and no way to grind for new levels or $ (other than waiting for payday). There's no point in playing it now since it's futile.

My army just got massacred by 13 archmages. The pikemen were trying to battle, while my arbalesters and goblins werent even shooting arrows... When the pikemen finally died they started moving again, but didnt engage with arrows, only with melee...

I think this is a pretty good might and magic remake. but I agree with a few of the points that have been brought up. cluttering the screen with old boats is not necessary. and if you die, you hardly have any army to start with, if you've already cleared most of the monsters in the area then you have to sit on the page until your income generates enough to build up an army again and purchase some boats. if some of the monsters came back from time to time that would help if you get crushed and need to rebuild.

This reminds me of an old game I used to play on the ps2 or psx. I've been trying to figure out the name forever! Good game! Thank you :3

I see 2 small issues, both with gameplay.
The first one is with dying and boats, should have some way of summoning a boat. Like at a port where you buy them, spend half of the amount to buy one to have them tow your boat to you. That way you don't have 4 or 5 boats hanging out at various locations that are fairly useless to you since you can only drive one at a time.
The second issue is gaining money, It doesn't look like there is much of a way to farm coin so that you can build up an army. I have not played a whole lot yet so not sure if things spawn so you can go coin farming to buy your army up.
