I think the difficulty is perfect, Geek mode is challenging to me, (and i am quite good) so this is perfect.
Awesome graphics, the Songs are very Hardrock based it seems and that sucks.

Nice game... it is a little easy, and there is no quit/restart button while playing a song. achievements and awards would be nice too =) 4/5

Why make it harder.. It's very easy on "easy", obvioulsy, pretty hard on "normal", very challenging on "hard" and impossible on "geek" for the average Kong User.

Thanks for the comments prilo - if enough people say that the game is too easy then we'll increase the difficulty for the next version we upload, which should be some time next week. We'll also be adding statistics and (hopefully) achievements, cheers!

Hi everyone, thanks for the comments. :-) We're big fans of Konami's Guitar Freaks, the game which Guitar Hero and Rock Band got a huge amount of inspiration from, but we've tried not to "rip-off" anyone. This was more of a challenge for us, to see if we could make something similar, and I think we succeeded. We're well aware of SCGMD and think it's great, but I'm sure the creator of that borrowed heavily from Guitar Freaks etc. Anyway, thanks for playing, and I hope you continue to enjoy the game. :-)

PEOPLE! IT IS NOT A RIPOFF OF SCGMD, COZ THE ONLY GOOD ONE WAS 2, AND IT GOT BORING! also, this is the ONLY type of rock song game there can be. it just seems like a ripoff of SCGMD coz it got there FIRST. if THIS GUY made THIS first, you'd all think that SCGMD was a ripoff of THIS. 5/5.

You think guitar geek is a ripoff of scgmd 2+3? which are rip offs of Guitar hero, which is a rip off of dance dance...does it really f%cking matter? everythings been done so enjoy the small bits of originality that come about ^^

I think it's actually a pretty decent game. I don't think it's much of a scgmd ripoff and much more of a Guitar Hero/DDR ripoff. Seems well made, but after playing one song, it doesn't seem to have much of any originality at all.

Should be maybe just a BIT harder. espacially if i looked at the game a half hour ago and finished it already. also if you play the same song twice, the notes are changed. the rate at which they come is the same, but the notes themselves change, lol

decent, but triple keys don't work on some keyboards. buncha timing issues.
FFR called they want their keyboard back.

I have to agree, failing a song on Geek seems to almost impossible, and the notes don't appear to be very related to the music at all. The songs, however, are anything but too long, 3 minutes is pretty short actually.

also its to easy id did the hardest song after not doing the tutorial and i had only done one song before. and i didn't miss a note

This game is insanely easy. Geek mode should be medium. Its fun though, so I'll give you credit. But I played the hardest song right off of the bat and passed with an A. Meh... FFR and SM > this. Good job though 4/5

Yeah, having SM and being like, decent at FFR makes this really easy. If the Geek songs were on FFR, they'd be Difficult at best.

I can't stand guitar games. They're all the same, completely unlike a real guitar, and always stick to the same awful metal genre.
even if I liked this kind of game, it's been done before, and better.

This needs some work on lining up notes with the audio. It feels like I might as well be playing this song with no sound on. Also, lines corresponding to beats would be nice.

Unfortunately, playing through more of the game, i noticed that even the songs that are supposedly insanely hard i had no difficulty getting an A. Make it harder next time, the songs you have are enough to be top tier Guitar Hero songs, yet i was able to breeze through.

Amazing. Love the solo addition, i think it makes it better than any other Guitar Hero imitator out there.
BUT, the songs are way too long. They just drag on for forever. That's really the main issue, and without it, you could easily beat out SCGMD...

needs some kind of indication as to where the beat is for true guitar geeks...i could have done a lot better knowing the subdivision without having to guess too much.

Meh.. Could Be Better. But otherwise pretty good. adding an option so that it could be something like HJKL instead of the normal ASDF. 4/5
