2/2 And suddenly quest became realistic (kind of) and intresting. Best part of text based games it that you need to think A LOT! Here its basicly farming goblins for letters and staring at a tree ;) You may want to rebuild the game and release the version that will be realy realy good with closed beta tests. Get a dictionary and go make some graphics! If you need my help at anything or more ideas don't hesitate to whisper me! From Poland with love.

½ Here comes the feedback! Game is way too short even for demo. There are still some minor or bigger bugs, and things hat made me mad. For example I wasted few minutes to open that damn red door and got nothing for it. Also the rat seem to be stuck between text and 3d world. I loved the idea of item crafting so I started experimenting. As soon as I realized "long bow" does not exist

Good changes. Makes it a lot more enjoyable. I suggest you concentrate on the fighting system a bit more. Allow strafing and walking backwards instead of facing the other way when pressing S. Thus, we can fight while moving backwards. Of course, this movement is slower than forward. Make the whole system a bit more action orientated, e.g. left mouse=attack (chargeable; strong attacks take longer than quick ones but do more damage), right mouse=raise shield. A successful block results in the opponent or you (some opponents should be able to block as well) being unable to defend themselves or attack for a moment.

I found your idea interesting, this can be a really entertaining game. A few issues: when I decide to go back, I want my character walking backward, not turning 180 losing my actual sight; same with go left/right, he is supposed to walk left/right, not to turn. I really like the "create system", but how about emphasize the letters you collected giving their number in inventory a different color? Like 0= white, 1-3 red and so on. It is not easy to read how much and, what is worst, which ones I have, and as it is for now it is a bit confusing. Maybe you can add a sort of dictionary containing the words you implemented and we can create, so we can experiment with different combinations. Please, add a jump button. If possible set the camera to follow the mouse (this is trickier, I know), bit if you fix those things you will create a great game, since at first glance it is really catching. Keep up the good work

A new patch is now up to hopefully resolve most issues people are having with the game. Please continue to submit feedback so we can improve the game. Game description has update info.

As for others, I have improved the camera to at least be working better, there will be another build brought up later tonight with that fix and maybe some combat fixes. One issue that we have found is to disable the right click menu requires the actual webpage to be edited, so we can't do that ourselves without the help of Kongregate, it is a known issue.

Zaq, the item does not exist error will be corrected in the next build for using wood. I found why that was happening. We will work on making the starting dungeon not allow someone to accidentally make the wrong objects.

fogbot, Salvage should be available in the inventory by clicking an item in your inventory to bring up a menu then clicking the salvage button, I will look into making the sign more descriptive.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
haha! If I create wood instead of long sword, it let's me do it, but I get 'item does not exist' if I try to equip it.

Aaargh! I discovered that right click repositioned the camera behind me, which is fine, but it also brings up the Unity Player right click menu, which, if I accidentally let go over it, wipes out my game to go to some stupid unity player screen. Give me control over the camera!!

it does need some work but as it says in the beginning its a demo. like others i think the idea is great and something i haven't seen yet but the camera view and fighting is off in the beginning i couldn't fight the goblin the swings didn't seem to affect him and he only had to walk into me to hurt me. i hope you add more to it 4/5

Great Concept, I think with some work it can be an amazing game.
As many people mentioned fighting and camera angles are the weak spots.

Thank you for feedback. Combat is being worked on. Melee combat is tricky in 3d space. We will try to increase the hit box sizes and test to see if that helps any. There is a known issue that you can not move on Mac OSX and Firefox. It is being investigated for a work around. This is a demo version, we are working on more levels and content. For a bonus challenge try to create a herring.

Nonononono...it's not a text adventure unless you're Outside the Cave...and because It's pitch black inside the cave...you need a Lamp.

Needs a way to control the camera. And fighting needs improvements. Also, if the character can run there should be a key to trigger running. liked it

If you guys look... It says Demo Version on the main screen... For me this is a great game, good concept, and it is great for a demo, he is probly looking for feed back on what is needed to be added.

Awesome concept, but obviously the implementation is a little rough. About that Goblin King, why isn't there an option to "Oh God Killitwithfire!!!"
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Great concept, poorly constructed. I think you could do better with it in 2D than in 3D, but I give a 3/5 anyway, for concept.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
To be honest I'd rather play a game that's 2D but works perfectly than this game. Sure it's 3D, but that's about it. You should be able to control the camera, the walking isn't that great and the text on the signs just looks awfull. It's just Arial font in a too big size on a ugly wooden background. The game has potention but is released here far far too soon. It needs so many updates to become good. I gave it 2/5

I know the right click is bringing up the context menu right now, in our non live version that is not happening. We will be working to get that disabled by the next build to eliminate those camera issues.

I give up. Twice in a row when going up the ramp in the beginning, I used the right mouse button to turn the camera around, and it ended up taking me to the Unity page.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i will work on correcting the camera issues, it is meant to go through walls. i know that there are times when you can force the camera into a bad spot specifically on ramps, right click helps to center it on you again if you aren't moving.

Nice graphics. I just finished the demo. I want a full version, and a bit more action. Maybe you can add magic spells, bows and if u finished the full version a multiplayer version! :D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
couple things i gave you 5/5 for concept. for combat, maybe i will get better but fighting the goblin is hard, i have the impression that i should hit more often. i mean i am in front of him i click, the character swings and i dont see the message nor the sound telling me that i have hit, feel wierd a little.
first thing i tried when i saw the instructions about 'long sword' i tried to create something else. i created a door. then i tried to salvage but the salvage option was disabled, reload and everything ok. i really think that you should try to add a lot of objects to be created even if useless, just for fun.
camera i dont know if you plan to add control to adjust it but i think that would be the right thing to do.
ok enough for now, going back to play.

Nice concept. But in my opinion this release was way too early. By doing stuff like this you are scaring people away. Make the camera mous controllable, fix the fighting system (the guy has a shield, so he should have the option of blocking), and fix the letter indicator in the inventory. It doesn't seem to work.

Dubious thank you for the information, I have no issues running it in Firefox but I will check into it more with an environment closer to yours.

Danxor2: It's definitely a Firefox problem. I loaded the game in Chrome and WASD work just fine. Getting late tonight, but I'll give the game a once-over tomorrow and give some impressions.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Danxor2: I've reloaded the page, restarted Firefox, restarted the game with different options, and WASD still don't work. I'm running Mac OSX 10.6, FWIW. I've also got Adblock Plus turned off. Maybe it's an extension conflict with Unity? Beats me. All the other keys seem to work, I just can't get the guy to move.

Tucalonso, the RAT can drop R's, A's, and T's, if you walk across the bridge he should respawn allowing you to kill him again and again.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Dubious, I would be interested in finding out more about your problem, I have not encountered the game locking you up from being able to move with WASD. Can you reload the game and try again and if you can't move at the start I will have to look into more about recreating your problem and try to hunt down the solution.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Can't get WASD keys to work. "I" opens inventory, Enter starts the typing, left clicking gets an attack move, but I can't get the guy to move. The concept seems intriguing, but it seems a long way from actually working.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I like the concept, trust me. What I don't like is the game itself: camera angles are terrible, fighting is broken, it's just not enjoyable.

Thank you, I am one of the developers, we put up this demo today to start getting feedback before continuing with the next development leg.
If anyone finds any bugs of has suggestions they are all welcome.
Positive and negative feedback are welcome also.
