I don't want to nitpick overly hard, but why in the world would "Press Jump to start" work for buttons that aren't jump? I pressed space by reflex, which started the level, and then space proceeded to not be the jump button. Movement also feels clunky compared to older versions of the game, what happened?

Is it just me or does N behave perfectly fine? I think its awesome to play the official version after that long time =) 5/5

I don't find the controls to be bad at all... perhaps I am terrible at n, I don't know, but I'm still passing all the levels so far

What is your guys' Problem, The controls seem just exactly the same as the xbox version and previous PC version, Same amount of clunkiness.

@jk1210,
That isn't the way how N (or N+) was meant to be played. It might make for a different playstyle, but N(+) was only a platformer game. Upgrades are a whole new genre that this game.. won't fit in. I mean, if you upgraded so much that you jump so high, mine ceilings would be the death of you. Speed would also kill you, if you have to make precise timing, and all of a sudden you speed across the map. Or that would make it have no fun or point. The game was designed and built for one speed, one jump range, and one ability - Wall jumping like a boss.

I have a idea for a update: there must come a shop, where you can upgrade your health, speed, jumping height, and much more!

Brotip: If you fall onto a white box from some height, press jump twice. First jump when the box starts rising, second when you're about to detach. Result = uber high jump

guys.. i think you need to play the original n - it was EXACLY the same in gameplay - kongregate only added a few changes - like faster loading time, ability to see the levels you're going to play. The sluggish and awkward controls were the whole point of the game - the character moved very slowly in midair so you had to plan the jump beforehead. The game was out years ago, so propably most of you forgot how to play - don't rage on kongregate that it's bad - it's exacly the same

Has anyone ever been on that website (accessible via boredbutton.com) where a bunny rabbit tries to grab your cursor, and, if he succeeds, you have to shake him off?
This guy is definitely that rabbit. Same proportions, shape, and movement.
Dead on.

The controls were always this sluggish in N, maybe a bit faster but its about the same. Though I do wish for them to be a little faster and maybe the controls to be more responsive to me.

I don't understand why people thought the game used to have fluid movement. It's EXACTLY as I remember it! Extremely difficult, frustrating, and fun!

people complain about this game being slow and sluggish, but it's just as I remember it. You have to time your jumps so that you'll have time to stop, and you need to figure out what to do before you get stuck running away from things that are faster than you.

The slow pace is bothersome, especially since a game like this should be fast paced and people are used to it from the previous N releases. I decided to download the game instead of playing on kong and it was still slow. My other complaint is that there is no boss mod. Wink wink. Dam, that boss mode can save jobs and lives.

First thing I notice is that the game says "press JUMP to start", accepts space, and then doesn't use space to jump. Second thing I notice is that pausing tells you to unpause by pressing P, Escape, or arrow keys, but only the arrow keys actually do it.

After seeing the "companion" (cube) level, I realized- this is what GlaDOS did before the portal gun got into full use.

Perhaps an Easy Mode, allowing up to three hits, would make this game approachable to a wider audience. Obviously, it should be made apparent on the episode select screen which ones you've completed on Easy, and which ones on Normal, so that the novices can still be distinguished from the aces. (I freely admit that I am a novice.)

I remember N+ on the Xbox 360 having a level creator. Since that type of thing is possible on Kong, why isn't it here? This game would be much better with a level editor.
