I agree with Jestertrek, the blue triangles are unfair, you get 4 of them spawning at once and you can't kill them all before they start zapping you. They never miss, though I am unsure of how much damage they do, but still.
Also, boss level or something needed.
Farther upgrades of the side-shot and more upgrades to the forward shot, once I had 5, I wanted more; farther shooting, more shots, faster shots, more damage, pass-though...something.

People remember Asteroids for having lousy controls, so I'm not sure why you'd want to PRESERVE them here. You seem to have made it even worse by slowing everything down to a crawl, turning and moving. Then you've made it incredibly easy.
The game is pretty but I've got nothing else nice to say. 1/5

Very solid game! The blue triangles are a little unfair, and it's not entirely clear what some of the upgrades do. It also needs some boss levels to break up the monotony -- once you've experienced all the types of bad guys, the game threatens to get repetitive and the replay value is a little low. Still, the controls are perfect, the graphics are great fun, and the game-play is great! Overall, a great game! 4/5.

few things to say here mate
one would be the controls... why turn if it's possible in the age of geo wars to go any diresction no turns needed. and why can't i fire at my mouse with my mouse? it doesn't make sense that in a day of excellent flash gaming. we have the atari going online.

Not bad, a decent implementation of the Asteroids style game. The music is fairly subtle a definite plus.
Reminds me a little of the days of Atari, only with better graphics and you can control yourself better :P 4/5

nice, but ... it SUCKS if you get unlucky with first 5-10 powerups.
You have to keep refreshing the page and restarting from scratch until you get enough good powerups :(.

2/5. This game is like a crossbreed with a moose that has herpes and a crab that
had cancer put into a soup with 12lbs of
horse crap.

While the game looks nice and controls pretty well, the challenge never really ramps up at all. Healing powerups, with the lives is to blame, I think. Also, re-evaluate damage taken. Finally, the spread forms a severe positive feedback loop; with wraparound, most things die super quick. Good start, tho!

Wish it had an end... or something. It just keeps going on and on and on. Yeah, blue things suck, but often the game gives you the appropriate upgrades at the appropriate times to deal with your surroundings pretty well. API?

2 stars, im sorry but this game isnt that great.why?
1.the shapes need to be weakened
2.a discription of the upgrades.
3.And More upgrades.

okay... I like asteroids, and I like geometry wars, it's a really okay combination, but the enemies with special abilities, mainly the lightning, are just annoying, not challenging, because you can't even avoid the bloody lightning, I'd either get rid of some of those, or make them a little better.

Either remove the extra life power up, or increase the difficulty more rapidly as you progress through levels. I played for 20 minutes and it was still way easy by that point and I still had 4 lives without really trying.
