The Doom source code is open source so it's not illegal, however I'm not entirely sure about the graphics and sound effects.
Anyway this is a port of the SHAREWARE version of Doom so it's probably ok.

i am sure the thedizzyizzy is retarded because in option you can turn sensitivity up and
humbug should shoot himself for dissing doom they didn't have the prossecor speed to add in range and those "brown guys" have a fcking name but if you didn't suck so much balls you would find out and i need a website that can help me find the million secrets (3 are in the first lvl but only found shotgun and mega armor)

man its a good job but you put different controls and its better to play it in the original games maybe you should try to make DOOM TNT or DOOM 2 because DOOM 1 is the best game and you dont have the rights to make it like this s**th

Hmmm. Very, very strange. Why is strafe left, right on 'E' and 'Q'?
This makes it impossible to really play the game.

Job well done on a classic game. Definitely brings back some memories. Let's see more ports of older games that stand the test of time, maybe Ultima Underworld and Wolfenstein? Cheers. 5/5

doom is a great game, but the controls in this were too laggy. i could not even play. fix that and it's a great game.

If this is as good as the real one...then its gonna be awesome. Doom is one of the few games we can say will never get old.

It's probably about as good a port as you could expect for a flash based FPS game. With that said, Doom really shows its age. We're talking Pre-3d graphics cards here. 1994 I think. This doesn't quite have the nostalgia that Wolfenstein would evoke in me. I give 4/5 for effort, although I could hardly play it. A PC FPS NEEDS the mouse.

Some of these comments are stupid, I don't think there was anyway to reconfigure controls in original doom, so to lower rate based on that is ridiculous, also the original doom was this dark, if you need gamma correction you are part of the reason companies don't make good fps games now.

Forgot to mention, You should also add a way to change the controls to the way you would like.. That's another reason I rated a 3/5 If you can and I just missed it please correct me. Other wise it would be a 4/5 just for the simple fact that its <>

Gamma adjustment would be nice, the game seems kind of dark, Like I said couldn't get strafe to work which is a huge disappointment, I won't knock the score because of that because it may just be my PC, I didn't see any comments about it on the first page at least. There is no music, the game drags at time. For that I rate this game 3/5

Sweet game, slow and graphically buggy when playing on site, but i downloaded it and it worked perfectly, very slightly unresponsive on controls but its an awesome game 5/5, now i'd like to see Duke Nukem 3D, now that would be impressive :P

Good game but... Maybe just my computer but I couldn't get strafe to work with alt+arrow keys like it says, there's no music

mike doom isnt a classic its an icon this is the game that turned gaming into what it is today without doom gaming would still be just for the geeks forget halo & call of duty this is and always will be the best fps ever made

haha. @ dragon1988. man, this game, is about 3 years younger than you are. you didnt know how to do nething but suckle on your moms nipple when it came out. so, hush man, and respect the classics.
