It's not just about luck, you can do get the hard badge easier if you wait for "Invincible" and "Mine Sweeper (shooting spaceship)" power-ups to destroy mines. You get points by destroying them but you don't get bigger. But there's still a lot of luck involved in getting the power-ups.

hooray for so many lucky powerups in a row! i got 4096 points! the bubble was taking up half the whole screen and was unable to dodge mines but i also got 5 gold stars! yay!

I played this game twice. The first time received 800 points and popped. Second time got 1975. Not that hard to do haha. Given I got an invincible and a speed. I had no idea what was going on.

what's my score.... 600 (about a dozen powerups and 30 seconds later)
I'm over half the size of my screen, speed... what's that, oh no!!!! mine in the middle... "pop" ok what's my score, 3200! yes, I'm done with that.

everytime i lose is always when im a big bubble and im get trapped in a corner with one mine above and to my side and i can get out.
