honestly... This game needs to be fixed, I am starting to think the dragon dosent exist lol. I barely even see any grim shops to get the divine edge, not to mention when i see them i dont have any money -_-. You should lower the price's because you cant get that far without money when it costs 190 just to get more time XD also items dont stack, so buying anything other than 1 thing at a time is pointless... waste of money cant even have a divine edge and potion. I like the game but seems like it needs specific things fixed

The instructions need to explain that you start from scratch every run. IE, you do not get too keep upgrades even though the Acheivements screen suggests you have upgraded your armor and weapon (even saying "Hover to see Equip"). Maybe English is a 2nd language, but that really says to me that I have upgraded my stuff. The instructions should also say that leveling does absolutely nothing except increase your score...which is also meaningless. Another addition should be that you can only carry one item at a time. I tried to stock up on elixers until I managed to read the text (which flashes by too quickly) which said replace elixer with elixer. This is a great concept, but get rid of the things that imply a "campaign" (things that would carry from run to run) or actually incorporate them into the game. A much broader game could be made by keeping upgrades from run to run and adding a boss on each run that must be killed before advancing to the next step in the campaign.

Why is it the character always stands around in fights like a dipshit? why is it most of the time any enemy can do 3 or more atks with out my derpy char ever hitting, wtf? This is all about luck and is not fun and does not deserve badges, because it has been far long enough for the developers to make this more playable yet they do nothing, FAIL...

i bought 2 potions just to be prepared, used one but when i wanted to use the other one it wasn't available... so im guessing it doesn''t stack which is bad and it lost 2 stars just there =/

I don't buy a divinity edge: dragon shows up day 9.
I keep a divinity edge on me at all times after day 10: GO TO DAY 20 WITH NO DRAGON

This game would probably be a lot more addicting if you could actually upgrade what happens in the game instead of just the point multiplier...but knowing every game is just like the last makes it not as exciting. Still a great game though :/

And to those saying it's just a game of luck, it isn't. While it may seem like luck because of the random order of events, it's really a strategy game where you have to adapt to unforeseen conditions. Low on health? I could buy an elixir, or I could buy an armor upgrade to lower my damage intake AND refill my health instantly.

I have been trying for the hard badge all day. Still can't kill
the dragon. Hell, can't even reach the frucking dragon.
It improbable, but not impossible.

beat my dragon on day 10 (wasn't expecting it so early) with armor lv 4 and sword lv 2 and 1 well used elixer. i was very very lucky though, survived with <100health.

I feel like the leveling up sort of thing you got here should be giving you more stuff instead of just score multiplier
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There is too much of a luck requirement for the game. I hate the soul shrines idea, especially with the slower combat. One badly placed combat can ruin a run. Furthermore, the dragon does indeed deserve a nerf of some kind. It should be possible with good gear and an elixer. Finally, she isn't very good at this, is she?

Reasons why this game is terrible:
1) It's 100% luck based.
2) The graphics don't even change for your upgrades! It's such a small game, how hard would it be to draw new swords?
3) No SFX.
4) Did I mention it's completely luck based? You just do run after run until you get lucky enough to make it through the dragon....
This is one of the worst games I've seen on Kongregate

Daniel's top comment says "the only way to beat a dragon is with a Divine Edge" - FALSE. I beat a dragon with a voucher (and got insane 13,000$ for that). Using Divine Edge is the best way to kill it, but if you bought enough upgrades (=bought enough gold vouchers) it can be done without any items. Gold vouchers gives you about 1000% more cash for slaying a monster, so yeah, getting them is crucial. Good luck guys.

is this seriously a game? you watch a knight run... there's no strategy to the clicking, it's pretty much just "do I have enough money!? no!? okay no click..."

@sekisi I'm pretty sure it is possible to kill. I killed three in one run, two with divine edge and one with an elixir. So shut up...

By the fifth time I fnd a gold voucher shop teasing me before I have the opportunity to save up the neccessary 500 gold, it really has lost its charm

Oh my goodness, insanity. I am on about round 14, and I only have 10 lifespan left, and I pass the only soul shrine i can see because I don't have enough money. I see the next even is an enemy, and I have the divine edge so I decided to use it for kicks. It's the dragon and I 1-shot it, then immediately die from lifespan :D So happy I finally killed the bugger.

It IS possible to kill the dragon without Divine Edge... I've killed him using just the elixir. Although he almost killed me; it's just a matter of luck without Divine Edge.

Just died at day 8 because I didn't get any shrines aside from one at day 4 and got too many battles to get to the next one in time. bad design here.

I like this game. It has potential. But isn't quite there yet. Needs more element of choice, strategy and carry over gold/stats/gear. The 'save up 500g for Gold Voucher and buy armors whilst waiting' strategy worked for me. After that you can go crazy buying what you like. I had an Elixir and beat the dragon with just high level weapon/armour. Divine Edge works too, but neither DE or Voucher are common so you'll just have to get lucky.

The Hard Badge is easy IF you know how to play the game right, and a tiny bit of luck. You need to save get a Gold Voucher, which costs 500 Gold, near the beginning (which is the luck part.) You then use it on the next enemy, and then you will get a lot of gold, and can buy all the weapons you come across, spending Gold at Armor Shops and Soulshrines as needed, and buying a Divine Edge by Day 10. You can then use the Divine Edge as soon as the dragon appears on the screen, and then you will OHKO him. Once I figured this out, especially the Gold Voucher, this impossible difficulty badge became very easy. Hope this helps other people.

To much luck based, it would be interesting to have upgrade or something else to avoid a liitle the luck because otherwise it's to much frustating and you just want to quit the game

To all those people who say it's too hard to slay the dragon, I killed him with Zweihander and Fullplate, using 1 elixir...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Nice game, but the dragon seems way too strong, and some weapon upgrades seem silly. E.g. I had a sword, upgraded to a raiper - the sword hit less, but hit much faster so it was way better for killing stuff......
Aside from the annoying randomness of fights/event things nice game :)
Even though I never did discover what the vouchers do...

All you need to beat the dragon is the Divine edge damage boost thing. This strategy worked for me:
- upgrade sword three times before upgrading armour, use your starting elixir if you have health issues
- from now on, keep upgrading your armour if you have health issues, don't buy any more elixirs or sword upgrades
- buy divine sword asap, don't use it yet, keep it for dragon
- keep upgrading armour if you have health issues until you meet dragon
- when you meet dragon, use your divine sword thing and you'll most likely get the achievement
but ofc, you need some luck to be able to do it like this :)

Protip: Save up to buy the Gold Ticket. Gives you enough gold to make things much easier. And as Chaniel said, Divine Edge is the only way to beat the dragon so buy one and hold on to it after using the Gold Ticket.
