Challenging game, and in a fun way. I think some more RPG elements would definitely be fun; increased battle stats as you level up, and maybe things like being able to spend gold not only to replenish your lifespan, but increase it altogether. But those things aside, quality game.

This has already been said, but this game, while an interesting and unique concept, has almost no replay value. A single run, and you've seen all the game has to offer. This would be so much more fun if you gave stat bonuses for previous runs, or started the game with better armor after so many levels. It's a great, refreshing concept, but it falls short after a single run.

its alot better since the update =) still some room for improvement like extra perks when leveling as stated in like comments above. ill happily give it a 5/5 now.

also,i hate it when the first buyable item is a divine edge, and 30 scenes or so later, you find a dragon, and you didnt buy the edge in the begging,or when you fight 1 b4 you even see an edge!

Now i had a run without even one divine edge till dragon. As I stated in one of the previous comments this game is definitely too random. Randomness overally is very good thing, but not too much randomness.

Divine Edge is too hard to find now.
Seriously, usually - till I get to the Dragon - i see max 2 of these. I would gladly buy one near day 14 but can't so... 5th time in a row dragon kills me ;].
And idea of potion and divine in different slots its nice.

also, a special effect of some kind with the divine edge would be nice, like some kind of special attack killing the foe in one hit

the music is awesome, the graphics nice, but should have manual battles, a plot in the sequel along with highscore survivals would be really nice,

I fight a goblin... he does 504 damage a hit, I buy armor right after that then fight a goblin immediately. The second goblin does 607 a hit... Armor is useless?

I would enjoy it very much if you would make the weapons and armor change as it's upgraded, it has always upset me in games that when you upgrade the look of the character doesn't change. I also think it would be a cool idea if you could find a way to put an actual story line in there.

should have an hp increase, a stat increase, an armor increase all with the weapon system, and have the ability to carry both a divine edge and a potion with you

After slaying a dragon with divine edge, bought another divine edge just to be safe. The next one is dragon again, makes me feel lucky enough to have bought a divine edge. But the third come straight after that. :X

wining or loosing depends on if you can get 2 early gold voucher .. after that you got money with no end and can upgrade strait to max armor/sword. blacksmitch should be remocvd afterwards and armor should att least be useable to heal. rest is pure luck, nothing more nothing else. nice grafics, sound isn't bad ether and its quite fun to play. more itemslots would be great. Or more items you can stack in a row. like ... buy up to 3. and the first one is always used ... 4/5

ok so this is a pretty good idea for a game but i fell like it shouldnt be released yet cause its missing alot. like people have said the level system should be actual upgrades like in rpgs like more vitality or strength or agility and dragon is god u can never kill him

Nice game, though a bit weird...
I also agree that lvling should give something useful, like better stats.
It took me some 3-4 games to get the point of it:
I first thought (as in usual games), that the upgrades actually STACK...
Well, now I know how to play. :D

It's really a nice game and it allows to develop some tactics, but like everyone said, levels should actually mean something more than just score. Not something overpowering, but with visible difference (Character becomes slightly faster, learns to DODGE(honesty, how that Knight is not smart enough to dodge... excluding meta-game) or to give criticals, ability to lower prices... Ok those are overpowered and more of perks, but... I hope you understand :).
And good luck with sequel or extension game! :)

Instead of replacing items when you buy a new one it would be nice if the item was consumed. This would use an elixir when buying a Divine Edge or a gold ticket instead of just throwing it away. I often ride my HP pretty low trying to stretch as long as I can between elixir and armor stores, using my elixirs only when I absolutely need them. If a voucher store pops up I have to pass because I can't go into the next fight with critical HP. I'm holding an elixir so drink it when I buy something else, don't just toss it.

Seems I was beaten to the mentions of a story, but overall this game entices me to want to try and beat whatever it has... blame the idea of Rogue-likes becoming more and more prominent.
That said, the one thing I could see, along with all the other mentions, to improve this is a group of other playable characters besides Ms. Knight. Each obviously with their own strengths and weaknesses, and Ms. Knight being the most well rounded, albeit probably slightly weak in all categories. If you find that unfair to the game/player, you can make each one associated with a difficulty increase/decrease.
Having a story mode could still run off the same concept as this game, each area has a set amount of days that you must run through, and the monsters will get stronger for each you kill.
Overall: 5/5. Don't disappoint with the sequel. This was really good.

the non sprite arts are cute and the sprites remind me of megaman. cool concept but I don't really like having to concentrate on the screen just so I won't miss a potion shop. I recommend having 2 additional modes, one mode where we get the option to choose to go forward and backward, making it a bit of a linear rpg. The other mode I suggest it being an Idle Mode like "A knight's story" where the character will be programmed to choose for itself if it wants to upgrade or buy potions. Oh btw, the tune is very catchy.

"Dragons less chance to encounter them" Alright then! - walks walks walks then hits a dragon and kills it with Divine Edge- Wooh! -runs a event further and runs into a dragon - FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Right now I am rating this a 3. It has a lot of potential though. If there were upgrades that carried over from game to game it would be a 4 or maybe a 5 for me. As it is it loses too much replayability

@zeezee88 You can only hold one item at a time. If you buy an item from the shop, it replaces the one currently there.
