It does run in the background but it's kind of annoying. See if you maximize the screen on anything except the idle game it'll stop playing. So if you have cube on, and switch to a window that's NOT maximixed, the idle game will keep running. It's been super annoying watching my movies and Youtube videos in windows the last couple days.

The game's really nice, but good lord the walls are way too high on some of this stuff, I had to do so many resets before I even got to explorers, which is going to require so many more resets just to be viable within a day or two.

@bf842903 Factories building the bots doesn't negate the time wasted building the bots needed to build the factories at the beginning of the run. The first 10 miners will always take 50 seconds, the first 25 builders will always take 175 seconds. It severely slows down how fast I can rebuild after an overload.

Why not do this: Miner bot cost 120 but if you reach 5 sec build time, the cost goes to 240 and the time reset so when it finishes building, it build 2 miners

I have now played around a day, and I am starting to see the problem of hard cap on timers. With over 1000 miners max, it would take almost 2h to build them all.

There is a small bug. Since you added artifacts, it moved the 2 other icons down 2, and that makes it so that the intro arrow shows on the wrong icon.

Why is there a hard cap on so many things? It really slows down the feeling of progression when no matter how much you upgrade construction speed, you still have to wait up to 7 seconds to finish constructing robots.

Need the hard time limits removed. Five seconds per miner, seven per builder no matter how high the cube's building speed is severely slows down my rebuilding speed after an overload. Doesn't help that exploration has a hard limit of 20 seconds as well.

Well, I get that it's and idle game, so it takes time do to stuff. But it loses any sense of progression very early on, leaving no actual incentive to play. Plus, stopping when you're offline/in a different tab is not very idle-y for an idle game. It technically works and has nice graphics, but there's not much to it.

Finally got to level 100 and it's just a stronger attack robot called a Bombardier. Base stats are 1k damage, 300k health, and 10 speed. I was expecting something way bigger for reaching this point, but I guess not. This game really wants to waste your time in small ways.

If you're like me hoping lvl 100 will bring new dynamics to a stalled game, quit playing now. The new unit is utterly powerless, the factory required to upgrade is unreachable, costing 12 magnitudes of metal more than you have. On top you're not able to afford any upgrades at this point anymore. Conquering new territories takes 5+ attacks and meanwhile we do all know how much active playtime that requires...

An idle/incremental game that stops most of its functions when you go off-line (like unit builds and expeditions), puts caps that make increases worthless (robot construction rate vs a minimum build cap, and factory leveling no matter how many builders you put in) and rewards for tasks that don't scale with the gameplay (metal and talent points from expeditions) is just poor game design. HUGE QoL issues that make this a game not worth spending a lot of time or any money on.

1:00pm 2 minutes 45 seconds for exploration to complete. 1:09:50 exploration complete. So if you spend 50$ on the 3x upgrade you'll still be moving slower than real time.

Depressed Cube knows that, with all those gunners, he could end it anytime. Unfortunately, his programming doesn't allow that, so now he's even more depressed.

I REALLY love the concept of this game and enjoy playing it... Unfortunately, can never give better than a 4, since it's obvious the hard time limit on units is put there to artificially lengthen the game. Sad tactics. Never spend money on it!

Reached level 80, territory 10. It's only a slog at this point with seemingly nothing to work towards. The land gained from territories isn't worth just fast ascending, but fast ascending isn't worth it if there's nothing to ascend to. Was fun, but it's just a bore now.

The thing that kills this game for me is the lack of offline progression. Since the game is literally sitting and watching timers, only giving 4 hours of offline progression makes this a game you can only progress in by staring at it full time or having it running in a background tab all day, eating resources. It *has* caused slowdown and even freeing by doing this. On top of this, it requires it's own separate window to run in the background, or it pauses all progress until you sit and stare at it again. I had given it 3 stars, but I'm going to degrade it to 1, sorry.

Truly garbage. The idling doesn't even work properly. When I come back to the game it hasn't actually made any progress.
