agile red can go to hell, I don't even know what is all under the term "barriers"... just the red spots, bugs, and lasers? well oh well.... didn't seem to work.

I actually really enjoy this game, as I've gone on - I like the fact that the new hulls/drills really aren't just *better* than the one before, but each requires a different play style. For example, I've gone from 500-800m using the a combination of H3, D3, B4 and S6. The hull H3 goes fast (outstripping most bugs and lasers), but it has little thermal defense. So, I keep my temperature low using the 'cooling' effect from B4 and driving through lots of blue lasers. They drain energy, which I earn back with the 'conversion' effect on D3. Finally, S6 gives me just enough thermal defense to make it to the core in 80 days (but now everything's fully upgraded and I'm stuck for a while). Anyone who's using a big rig and stuck on 'fast' or 'powerful' achievements should give this a whirl.

So those bugs are sentient beings. They mine resources and build all those lasers. And we are the space invaders that steal their minerals and destroy their nests

at some point you just start clicking start, go do something else for 5 mins, come back and click launch again, so you can get through the grind ^.^

after day 385 i decide to gave up, i dont know how i should get the game finish, to much bugs they steal sight, too much lasers that steal energy and too much hot bricks as a line to avoid them... it was funny yes but like i said for me not possible to finish.

@Cloddo: to get Powerful 5, try using a smaller hull (the Wasp worked for me, with the second-to-last engine and no turbo). It will make your power go further, and you'll have less trouble maneuvering around obstacles.

1 of the best dig game i've ever played (someone said glean?).
For who complain about plasma, you must jump to the red planet and you will get load of it.

ok, I'm at day 140, time to rant: usually, I really enjoy upgradeand digging games, I like to concept of getting better at something by accumulating expirience, I don't mind grinding to further the fun. BUT, this game tends to exaggerate this grinding to such an extreme level that you feel you aren't making any progress at all. Everything is unbearably slow and it isn't even about the still heavy lag issues. Not to mention matters about material gain (hah!) or unfinished looking english expressions or grammar. And this isn't about updating or tweaking, it's about testing. After several updates and performance increases (I don't see any, btw) the game's just barely solveable, still nothing to enjoy. At the first release, it wasn't even that. Note for the future: if you release something, make sure it works as intended, play it through YOURSELF if need be. otherwise, you'll have to invest that much more in updating something that could have been running smoothly to begin with.

@cloddo try the wasp hull, really does make a difference. go turbo like crazy and try to collect the speed bonus, should be sufficient. also, you can use the energy bonus instead for the obvious thermobooster

Am I the only one who think that there's too much grinding involve?
I mean, I've been playing for hours now but I'm still only half-way to the core. And I've played alot of digging games
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
What is the objective of the game?
I'm currently working on Maxing the Candy Drill.
Other than that I have all the Red objectives.
Do I also need to finish off tthe Green Objectives?
Then what?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The powerful red achievement is almost impossible. I have maxed up the last engine, the last turbo and the power booster. And still nothing.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'm enjoying this game. Seems a little less laggy today - not sure if that's on my end or if the game speed is faster. There's a bit too much grind involved in the end game. With the need to repeatedly dig down to the bottom level to get upgrade materials it gets overly boring and repetitive. Maybe I missed something but I can't envision myself sticking with it for that reason. Really like it other than that, though.

ive reached the core without buying turbo am i not even supposed to click on the turbo tab in the upgrades menu im confused here
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It is frustrating to move up to the next level a component just to have it be worse than your upgraded prior component. Fix that and reduce barriers by 25% and this would be a pretty well balanced game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Plasma should appear a lot more often, i mean the game is called reach the core. I already did it 20times and my non-plasma gear is better than the plasma gear.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
cute. after finally "jumping" i get a second planet where Plasma is much easier to find...i got over 200 in one run...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Like this game alot! But it feels small; just one planet really, the otherone is more to finish of the upgrading, not really any progress. So I really look forward to the sequel with lots of planets and different agendas. All planets doesn't have to be about gathering resources, can be distress calls, new tech etc.
And I really love the slow progress btw.

SO there I opened a new save slot to reach the core without buying a turbo... and then you guys remove it. stop giving in to so many casual gamers. balance is almost fine.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Boring game !! it's impossible !! When you encount"er the big alien, it shoot you, and its awfully difficult ! The ground is to hard (even the last drill equiped !The last upgrade are tooooo expensive ! NO FUN at the end ! The too bot will reach the core without me ! BUT this game have potential, and with a rebalanced playing, it will become more cool.

I have to say that for a motherload copy the grind is just infuriating. You never get enough to even buy anything that feels significant. Oh yeah and don't even get me started on the amount of lasers and mines. Here is a tip don't make your game annoying to play, a game has to be fun, not a chore.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Got all the achievements, a good 90% of the possible upgrades... so when are the badges going to land for this thing?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A few things that weren't too clear to me:
1. Destroying enemy (not the little bugs but the lasers and the bug spawners) gives you technology...for the longest time I was avoiding them.
2. Slots - you only get one of the bonus, not all (I made the error of assuming you get all and went and upgraded each one to max as I got them...)
2. Turbos are easy to max, but the last one (T4) that requires the jump resource doesn't seem worth it. It would take 2 speed upgrades, 3 duration upgrades, and 2 charge upgrades to even out with the maxed out T3 turbo. Maybe some balancing is needed?
3. Similar to the turbo, the last engine would require at least 3 upgrades for power and 3 for max speed to make it better than the E4 engine.
4. I found it easier to progress with a maxed out H2 Catepillar Hull then bothering to upgrade the H3 or H4.
Overall it is a grind like everyone else has said but I still think it's a well created game - 4/5 if not for some balancing items.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Motherload did it better, years ahead of you. And you did not have to rip off the resources for it either, you know you can make stuff your own.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Similar to the Motherload, but worse, much worse game-play. Almost no control, the upgrades are getting extremely expensive at the end, so there is more of time waste element than there is fun, actually the fun gets less and less as you progress further.
I will not reach this core, don't want to.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I can't even start the game. The game loads and some robot tells me "Commander, we have no energy for the jump." Then no matter what button I press nothing happens.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The game is cool I like it, but the progression is too slow for my nerves. I'm forced to make 2 to 3 runs in order to buy some meaningful upgrades, that seems like too much. It could be mitigated by better controls system which would allows me to avoid and collect more efficiently, but despite the agility upgrade, it's still unfairly heavy and slow which isn't very engaging.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Love diggers, love upgrades, but man once you finnaly get those ice blue gems its hard as hell to get enough to really advance your equipment beyond what you already had from slogging your way there in the first place.
