@goku90504: As far as I can tell: if you breed different tiers (say 8 and 10), then you end up with a random Clover from the lower of the two tiers (independent of the number of mutations and position on the parents). I use this to randomly fill up lower tiers in the museum, while I actively breed the highest tier. (When you breed inside the same tier, the number of mutations and the location of the parents matter.) @dev: please correct me if I am wrong.

When clovers mutate, does the position of the mutated leaves on the parent clovers make a higher chance that the leaf in that position will also be mutated as opposed to other positions?

A neat feature would be to sell duplicates with an option of keeping only 1 or 2 of each flower configuration, because as noted in my previous comment I have breeders dedicated to pushing my highest tier higher and higher and breeders dedicated to filling in the missing slots it the lower tier museum so sometimes my higher tier breeders get stuck and end up filling my entire 3 pages of stash with nothing but the same flower while they fail to mutate any higher for awhile and makes it annoying when trying to keep an eye out for lower tier flowers that would be useful for breeding those missing museum slots
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
also would be nice to know what the possible results of breeding clovers multiple tiers apart could have I've got some breeding spots reserved for pushing to the highest tier and some reserved for filling in the gaps of the museum in the lower tiers and currently have a tier 8 and tier 10 flower in one breeder and am curious as to what that might be netting me
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
An interesting thing would be adding the tier of the clover on it, or a caption for all the colors somewhere to simplify breeding. Nice game by the way !
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It would be nice if the 5-leaf clover unlocked some utility or granted bonuses. I finished the 5-leaf by Tier 24, and now I'm wondering why I should sit through the rest.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So i just finished the five leaf clover and didn't realize it because there wasn't any message about it which would have been nice. Also i only finshied only 21.5 of the tiers. Granted it is still a fun game i am a little underwhelmed by the endgame.

My flash player crashed while playing this game, I lost absolutely all progress... And no way to get it back... There should be a way to export a save to avoid this sort of stuff happening
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
prestige idea: prestige once you complete all 40 tiers and unlock the 5 leaf clover then start over with a 10-bit museum with some perks that would help you progress a little less than 4 times as fast

with the higher number values (the ones you use scientific notation for), you should either have [number]*10^[power] or [number] E [power]. Just having the number, the carat, and the power would mean multiplying the number by itself the number of times in the power. For example, what you have as 3.720^6 is not 3,720,000. It is actually 2650.07179141.

I just lost a rainbow petal. Finished conjuring, but didn't get added. Tried refreshing game and still doesn't appear :(
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@elstan2 That might be the case with earlier tiers, but once you get into the late game, you'll notice that most mutations are, in fact, location inherent. If you have a clover with petal #1 mutated breeding with a clover with petal #4 mutated, for example, you'll likely get a clover with petals #1 and 4 mutated.
Basically, when you get far enough in the game that higher mutations are very hard to get, location-inherent mutations are a lot more prominent.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@MOCZAN you say mutations are 98.5% location inherent but that is simply not what I am experiencing. I've got 5 breeders with brand new tier 3's in them, and in less than an hour that tier is 73% complete (including a new tier 4) without swapping in any new clovers.
It's nothing like the first game originally was; new clovers might produce 1 new mutation, 1 mutation and a new clover might reproduce the mutation, no mutation, or a 2nd mutation. There was strategy, you would evolve and build off of previous generations. Now, in the space of time it took me to write this comment, those 5 new-tier-clover breeders filled in another 8% of the museum (up to 81% now) You can't plan around that, just wait to get lucky.
That's probably because your mutation chance is high and they just mutate more than once per breed no matter if they inherit location based or not. Low tiers always progress fast, once you reach T10+ it gets much harder and strategy matters more.

My save is lost. I had the first thirty tiers finished, I didn't clear my history or cache, and my save is gone. Well, I'm done.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Unfortunately, this game suffers from the failings of it's predecessor, no strategy involved here anymore, mutations are completely random based on the number of mutated leaves and does not take the original location of the mutations into consideration. Want a top half mutation? a top-right quarter plus a top-left quarter won't get you there! 2/5
The breeding formula in the current version of the game has 98,5% to inherit the location of mutation and 1,5% to inherit the number of mutations but in random places (to help people progress when they idle). Actually micro-managing your breeds lets you progress much faster and easier, but there is still an option for less-active players to play the game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Something else i forgot to mention. The breeding mechanic seems to be COMPLETELY identical to the previous game, which is the main reason why the last few clovers are difficult to get.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game has not improved at all, exluding the few new features not allowing much easier progress and the extra tiers. By that I mean the same goddamn wall is encountered where it's a pain in the ass to get the last few clover combinations for the tier AND to get the next tier mutations going. I have to rate it 2/5, the extra point is because you made more content and tried something.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The biggest difficulty I've had so far is organizing clovers by tier, since even though adjacent tiers are much different the same general colours still repeat frequently. If mousing over a clover could show its tier, maybe in the space above the stash/storage and beside the tabs, that would make it a lot easier to organize everything.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Is my rainbow clover just for looking pretty or does it do something? (Not complaining, just wondering if I'm doing something wrong) I'm at museum levels 19 and 20. Does it become usable at higher levels?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I finished my 5-leaf clover over night while I was sleeping. Is there supposed to be some sort of a congratulatory message? If so then maybe it should be shown when you click on the 5-leaf clover or something.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Not sure if this happened for anyone else, but when using Rainbow Petals, if you use science to speed up to/past the research time, the petal will just disappear and you'll have nothing to show for it. I lost, like, two or three petals this way, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to get the last two I need to complete the 5-leaf clover.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Maybe you can inckude a timer for the rainbow petals? It would really help to know exactly when it would be fully included
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Some of the tiers are hard to tell apart, and I am colorblind which makes it worse. I suggest the tiers are rearranged so the colors are very different.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
To complete the museum, use a higher tier clover with a lower tier starting clover. You will get all random clovers of the lower tier. Plus up if this helps
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'm really enjoying the game so far. Some things I'd like to see are a tooltip that tells you what tier a clover belongs to when you hover over it, an easier way to use the storage (it's a little cumbersome now), and a way to sort the storage.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Great job on all the improvements. Love all of the QOL changes even as simple as not showing the tutorial again when you start the game each time.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
(slight spoiler) Meh, I'll probably just make one, it seems science income is still pretty low with a complete museum. Should not have gotten those last two evolution upgrades... neither did me any real good as the main thing you wait for is the first change, and I bought those, and I could have used that science...
I'm sorry that you've lost your savefile, Cloud saves are in the works (no ETA yet), meanwhile I can only advise to backup your savefile from time to time to avoid starting from scratch next time.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If that's true, how did someone manage to get Tier 40 filled on the leaderboard? Assuming he didn't cheat...Moczan, please give us some information!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I just decompiled the game to verify: The tier 40 cannot be reached in any way at all, it's impossible. It's capped at tier 39 in the code: this.tier = Math.min(38,this.tier);
Also, in case anyone cares, the "Five-Leaf Clover" stat is hardcoded to always be set as 0, there's no such thing as a Five-Leaf Clover in the game at all...
Game over.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Got to the end of rank 39, massive disappointment, instead of going to the next tier and getting a full clover, it reverts to the previous full clover start of 39; figured maybe it was a bug, tried to mutate via alter, also reverted to start of 39 and out the gold it cost me....Game itself just doesnt feel as fun, research gets left in the dust to gold mutations on the altar; I know you're trying to make a buck but these little things add up, not happy how it turned out
