What a game! For someone who normally hates card games, this was actually a treat. I've found that a lot of times these card games have crappy plots or are too complicated, I didn't find this with me. I did have some trouble catching on- it took a while of observing the battles before I understood them, and I do wish that autoplay would go faster or, like other, not be at all. I, however, definitely saw the strategy where as some of these other sore losers haven't seemed to not.

Who rated this game high enough to get badges? Kong needs a minimum of 500 ratings before giving badges. This game is crap.

As long as you build the same deck as everyone else you should be fine. There's clearly only one winning strategy, and as long as you can learn to play the Arena system the same as everyone else, you should stop losing an insane amount of times in a row.

the memory handling of this game is horrible. After only a few matches, it has grown to over 2GB on chrome, making the animations so slow as to make the game completely unplayable.

Overall I liked the game but i hit a bit of a wall in my campaign progress. I loved that there was no time refills in this game like so many others of its kind. And I liked all the many different setups you could make . Keep up the great work.

Contrary to most comments, I am OK with the auto play. It's not a great idea but it's still enjoyable. BUT, it's still a pay to win game which well deserves its 1star for fooling with us.

There's really no reason to play this game. The autoplay removes any player intervention. I feel like I'm watching a play through...

Honestly, this game is at least more decent than most P2W games out there. Still not going to play again now that I got the badges, though.

If i'm honest I played like a single round of the so called "missions" and there is practically no storyline to it, I find that if this was truly a mission wouldn't there be some sort of objective? I believe that if this were to be better than make more sprites for cards and have objectives. But overall it is a game which I do not feel is worth plating for lonf.

You'll find that if you lose a battle, it's because you lost the coin toss. Might as well forfeit as soon as you lose the toss and retry until you get to go first.

Ah, another game that nobody in their right flippin mind rated 5 stars that sits at 4 somehow, autoplays itself until I have my 15 points and then I can never look at it or think about it again.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is 5 star because it is very well made and pictures with acceptable textures. Is it idle? Well, Kong's problem, their game are short in space and capacity. Only Mass Effect 2 is 8GB of space. That's why most of Kong's game are based on 2D screen and jump and avoiding, the artwork and design to create a good 3D game for kong will be impossible because of the so huge limited space and internet connection. So if you guys keep your attitude against well made games you'll be playing millions of garbage flash games for the rest of your life. Yeah! Keep downgrading messages, you could downgrade your mental addiction to trash too as well. Are going to be the same forever?

I said clearly many times to remove those downgrade in massage holder, only leave the +, seriously, here people abuse of negative button for fun. I mean, they don't even have a reason do downgrade kong messages or tell people what to post or not, they are insane.

There are three ways I can think of that the game could implement more strategy and most importantly remove a lot of the randomness in winning. One way, that would still allow for the "fast paced" battles, is to let us arrange the order of our deck, so we have complete control over when we draw what cards. This allows you to carefully plan out the order in which your cards come to play, and the CD mechanic really complements this. If this gets implemented, the next two should not. Those being: allowing us to choose when we play our cards, the CD only functioning as "minimum wait time", which would allow players to strategically hold back cards and already control the order their cards come into play a bit, which brings me to the last one, which can be combined with the previous one, which is allowing us to choose where we position a card when it enters the field.

- Victory - randomly (Only luck dependent).
- No ratings in the arena (Have to fight with the strongest).
- Too irritable gameplay :(

I can't stand the idea that anything below maximum rating is a bad rating. Instead, I follow the original idea behind 5-star rating systems, where 1 star means I hate the game, 2 stars means I don't like it, 3 stars means I feel it's OK, 4 stars means I like it and 5 stars means I really love it.
But then I also follow this rule: if a game shamelessly asks for 5 stars, I take a star away from the rating.
So my rating for this game is: 4 stars (I like it, although it's slow to load and has laggy animations) minus 1 star (for begging for 5 stars and saying that 4 stars is a bad rating), that's 3 stars total.

When Myrrhine heals 2/3/(4|8) points, Laertes hit 2+(0|1|2|3)/2+(0|2|4|6)+wound/3+(0|1|2|3|4|5|6)+wound points
So I need unit over 10 points hp or stealth to just stand alive for 1 turn in front of Laertes?

i was gonna rate this game 3 stars; well made, has an audience but not particularly for me. then i saw the 'rate storm wars' challenge where you begged for ratings and then claimed 4 out of 5 stars was a bad rating (because its below your 4.12 at time of writing score) and that 3 out of 5 meant i was rating the game as basically terrible and unplayable. so you get a 2 out of 5 for shameless bulls****ing

i love card games but this is not a card game nor a game at all. This is the thing where we have nothing to do but starring at the screen waiting for the end of the "fight".
It's a card game designed for asynchronous play on mobile devices. The 400-some cards, near 200 equipments and 30 heroes make for an incredible amount of deckbuilding strategy. The game is balanced, broad and deeply strategic - but instead of interacting in single matches, you are playing many many matches in one session, and winning through clever deckbuilding and selecting the right matchups. The gameplay is different from what many are used to, sure, but it's far from and idle, or "not a game."

So why is one of the starting heroes so much more overpowered than the other? Gaining damage from friendly units should be a high level skill not one he starts with. It when you get a full board it basically guaranties that you'll automatically destroy the first unit and because it pierces there's no way to stop it. And how easily you can get a bunch of units at the same time it's impossible to just maintain the battlefield.

ok, this 5th round of "Heart of the glen" is just absurd: most of the monsters have "frenzy" which makes their attacks more powerful EVERY TIME THEY ATTACK! just ONE of those would be hard to handle, but FIVE AT ONCE?!

You guys don't need to be mean towards the game. Someone probably spent months making the game, just so you guys can downvote it and write how you think it's a piece of trash. If you don't like a genre, don't play it. It isn't obligatory to play every game with badges, so don't pretend Kongregate forced you. (This is probably going to get loads of downvotes from the "professional critics".)

According to Sir_Valimont (dev) - "The PvP arena [is] accessible from the main menu. I recommend that you spend your first Gems on 1 Dragons pack and 1 Frontiers pack, to make you much stronger. You will get 2 free epic cards that way (we frontload rewards). You don't need to hoard, not only because you only want the badges, but because there are a lot of free Gems daily. We the dev team have taken efforts to make the badges easy for you, just in case you don't like card games. I hope you will ask questions so we can help you get them quickly. :)"
