This game is good. But it would be REALLY awesome if you could actually do something to actively direct the actions of your cards in battle. Oh the in-depth gameplay and strategizing that would be possible!!!

If the legendary card 'Elder Cinder' gets weakened in any way (either from weaken ray or the weaken skill) he won't use his skill 'fire storm'. Very annoying, especially since he doesn't have any attack to begin with.

Hi devs, Whenever I press the "play" button, after everything's finished loading, I get "Error: Unknown error" in read letters. Help?
seagully, please try to find me in chat. If I'm not around the best thing to do is to open up the 'developer console' in firefox (control+shift+k) and make a post in the forums about what you are finding there, it will definitely help us solve the problem. On chrome its menu->more tools->developer tools and make sure the 'console' tab is selected. Sorry for the bugs!

Not bad indeed, good art simple but very clean, nothing new in the ccg type but decent mechanics, you have to grinding a little but so far no paywall found and no energy, you play as you want...so far very enjoyable i would love to play this in android ,on pc there are game more interesting to play for me in any case "KUDOS DEVS"..!

The error message that said login to kongregate failed is gone. Instead there is a new error message: "Connection to the server cannot be established!"
yaddah, please contact me in chat or PM me - this might still be related to the DNS issue. If you're using firefox please hit control+shift+k and let me know in the forums or by PM what shows up there when you try to start the game. Sorry for the problems!

The production quality of this game alone warrants a 4 star rating, if not a look. In the cesspool of shitty pay2win CCGs and their respective developers with questionable motives on Kongregate, this game and this amazing dev team are definitely a cut above the rest. In fact, if someone told me that a game like this was available on Kong, I'd definitely think that either that person was joking or we somehow time traveled and it's 2010 again.
SaoNicolauP, please try loading the game in a 'private window' (menu->private window) to see if you have a plugin that is interfering with the game. Also, check the forums, there is a sticky with stuff to try if you can't play. Let us know if you figure it out, or contact me in chat (I'm usually hanging out there).

It's hard to say how enjoyable I might find this game - perhaps it has merit, but I'll never know. Playing through the campaign is about as exciting as installing software. Click 'next' and 'accept' repeatedly, then wait for the process to complete while some animation works its way on your screen, and then repeat the whole process for the next run through. No tactical or strategic decisions are necessary - it may as well be an idle game at this stage.
It does feel like I could learn to enjoy this if I slog my way through the boring stages, but I've grown weary of "lightning fast" battles that take a goodish minute to resolve at top speed and just lead to another run of cliche dialog, followed by another battle. I'll make a mental note to check back in sometime in the future and see if things have improved.
Ok Grim, I understand. Yes, I need better (more challenging at least) campaign content highlight the strategies of the game (and will work on that), and will do my best to make the battles a bit faster. The game does have a lot of strategy in the deckbuilding though... I think if you stick with it you will find there is plenty of very competitive strategy once you get a decent collection.

The speed could be faster. x1 is certainly not a normal speed, it's super slow motion. x10 feels like about 2x speed of a normal game.
Hi Grungeking, we are currently at the 'speed limit' of the engine, simply because at any faster speeds the animations would start becoming incoherent. I have some optimizations in mind that should allow it to get faster though, will work on those soon.

Storm Wars v1.15 A spell pack has been added to the shop. A new challenge for winning battles with spell cards only has been added. Randomness of opponents chosen in coliseum increased. The gauntlet has been removed

"Are you possibly being affected by a slow skill? All cards should countdown by 1 each turn, but haste/slow can change that outcome of course. If there is a bug in the countdown that is causing strange behavior, let me know how I can recreate it!"
Their is no skill affecting me, i slowed down the timer to x5 instaid of x10 and i witnesses my 2,2 (one water mage the other wall crawler) to turn into a 2,1. The only unit on the enemy side was a fire mage. so i think their is a bug
ok there was a bug pre-1.14 where a card that had been bounced or unsummoned would no longer countdown. Is this possibly what happened? If not, do you know of a way I could reliably recreate this?

hey i just realized something, on the campaign story the demons are controlling ppl all over, but such skill doesnt even exist in game, so how about this special ability > control : whenever this creature deals damage to a card and it dies in this turn, it will go to your preparation area

So its probably my bad luck, but even with hasten and the right CD combos my hand always counts "1,2,3,4,5". however i have noticed that sometimes my cards what are matched "2,2" one of them won't go down in CD "2,1" so it creates the counting sequence and that has made me lose many of my matches. is this just pure bad luck or is their a problem here?

Hello - I've turned off sound+music and set quality to Fastest and set gamespeed to x10; game still looks beautiful but plays too slowly. It'd be nice if there were a way for the player to strip out more stars and swirlies especially (1) chest/treasure animations (2) dizzying zoom-in-snap-to-node that happens every time on campaign map (3) poison/fire clouds that obscure the unit's current life points
Hi BrokenFixer, unfortunately the 10x speed setting is at the limit of what the current engine can do for now, but I'll definitely see what I can do to optimize the graphics further for lower performance computers. The game is definitely a bit of a gfx hog right now :)

I just started and when I was testing the game out by clicking, I accidentally clicked right when the tutorial popped up, quite a few times. I can do without some tutorial because I'll probably discover things soon enough, but it really bothers me that I missed some part of it, after all, it could be something important... Wish there was some way to reread it :)

Some inconsistancy here: Weaken says any unit damaged will lose 1 attack, but if you confuse a unit with weaken and it damages it's allies they don't lose attack power.
yeah confuse needs work feathered, right now it just deals attack damage to neighbors but doesn't use any of the special effects. I'll have to overhaul it soon... on the list though :)

(1) Animations are very slow + (2) after opening a treasure, "Okay" confirmation is in the same place as (on top of) "Use" = several times I have accidentally activated Silver Skeleton Key thinking I was still Okaying. not an expensive mistake, but still...
ok I had a lock on there keeping the keys from working if you didn't have the right chest, it was causing problems so i took it out but I'll put it back in there for the next update.
While I understand you might have this viewpoint if you only played the game for a little while, I believe if you ask the community what they think they would disagree with you. The strategy is simple at the beginning of the game, but deckbuilding strategy gets much more pervasive as your collection grows. Also, most of our top players haven't paid us anything, so it is definitely not a 'pay to win' game.

Great game. Hope it continues to develop. One annoying bit - the speed adjustment stops to X10 - this can still give 15 min matches, consider increasing this.

I like it so far....thank you. Could you speed the Text messages? For example...show the whole text box when clicked.

While I like the setting (races and their synergy), I find nothing enjoyable in this "game" - actually all you do is to click some cards in deck and rest is just plain luck (coin flip, card draw) and automated process - actually, there is no need for animated battles, as it will be enough to show a message "You have won/lost" based on same calculations.

Alright, as far as I really like this game, it has two major flaws. 1) there's no first player penalty or second player handicap - it's just it, if you go first, you have better chances at winning always. 2) Campaign difficulty spikes - some fights are just ridiculously hard, having way too much synergy in the cards (while your Atlanteans have zero). Except these two the game's actually fun
Not sure what we could do that would make sense for a player handicap, but I see what you mean. Re - campaign spikes, I've been working on them lately but I'm sure there are still problems. Please let me know if you find a particular mission too difficult and I will tone it back.
Glad to hear you're having fun :) There's definitely luck involved, but I think you'll find there is a good deal of deck-building strategy once you start playing competitively in the arena...

A mouseover feature where you get description of the different character archetypes (mage, mek, etc.) would also be helpful. I appreciate having the mouseover on attacks and abilities, but with the game and wiki being new, having details in-game would be excellent.

Hi,
I clicked 'What's new' and the game froze and a steel chest was gone afterwards. I'm not sure what happened, but it could be a game bug.
what, do you think the skeleton keys are too powerful? I could make them weaker I guess, just not sure why you suggested it :) Or do you mean just have one key that works on any chest?
