Would love to play this, but I cannot. Game freezes as soon as I pick a game to play (plus, squared, links). Tried in IE, Firefox, and Chrome with the same result.

I'm sure this would be a great game, if I could actually play it. I've tried Internet Explorer and Firefox, and both browsers don't work. I choose a game, it goes to the puzzle selection screen, and it freezes up.
From the Puzzle Validation screen: "After pressing submit your creation will be up for voting. This process generally takes 48-72h. Images that pass the voting process are turned into puzzles, each puzzle type rewarding you with enough Coins to play two puzzles of the same size."
EDIT: The above has long been incorrect. There are several Coins packs starting at $1 and Subscriptions starting at $2. There are also 108 free puzzles, daily free puzzles (1-4) and the option to create your own images in order to keep playing for free for as long as you want.

Have you considered upping the reward for voting? being able to vote everyday is nice because you can basically get a free puzzle a day, but if you wanna play bigger puzzles one day of voting isn't enough, thats kind of a let down...
We are still discussing a few options regarding the voting system. I can already say however that we plan to add an additional 36 free puzzles very soon! EDIT: We're still working on the next batch of free puzzles, but the voting bonus just got doubled!

Love this kind of puzzle. Eyes aren't so great any more, so I wanted to make it all bigger, but then I can't see the whole thing. Clicked the fullscreen button in options, but nothing happened. Windows 8.1 / IE 11 / Flash 15.0.0189
Sadly that option won't work on Kongregate due to some technical limitations. We're going to remove references to it on the next update. The cinematic mode helps quite a lot though.

It takes way too to accrue enough coins to use them on anything worthwhile. Even then, it's a shot in the dark since you have no idea how good or bad the puzzle you are paying for actually is. A free puzzle of the day would help to alleviate this by giving players a reason to stick around.
We made a few changes since your comment. You now get enough coins daily to play up to 4 small puzzles (or one of the really big ones). We also doubled the rewards for creating puzzles and added Subscriptions which allow you to play any number of puzzles!

The amount of paid content versus free, and the slowness of accruing coins through normal methods drops this from an easy 5/5 to a 3/5. Let's see if you can't change that somehow.
Seems we could. Coin rewards for both voting and creating puzzles just got doubled! We're also going to add 36 additional free puzzles very soon, for a total of 108. Let's see if you can't change that rating somehow. ;)
As explained in the validation screen the Coins are credited at the same time as the image you submit is turned into one or more puzzles (after being through the community voting process). As soon as possible we will add a feature that will allow you to check if your images are still up for voting or if they have been rejected. EDIT: Feature added!

My thoughts:
1)I really would like the color I have selected stay selected when trying to put an X over a different-colored number.
2)It would be cool if the game muted when focus is taken off the game like the auto-pause.
3) I would like to be able to color over different colors. E.g. Color red over yellow.
4)Showing the name of the puzzle as a sort of hint would be nice.

would you make an 'option' that allows to view each puzzle's names? I know it'd be a little spoiler, but sometimes I want to play puzzles about specific topics(like food, pokemon etc)
We would, it's a nice idea. We should be able to include that option in the next update. It will be off by default though, retaining the current "???" as the name unless you solve the puzzle or enable that setting. EDIT: Feature added!

I must agree with Thalain. Perhaps something like a 'free daily puzzle' would be suitable? Otherwise you will loose the playerbase as fast as you would have gathered it.
We actually had a "Daily Puzzle" system previously, but decided to replace it as rewarding players with daily coins (for an activity that takes about 2m) allows them to play any puzzle they want instead of being limited to a specific free puzzle.
Having said that, we do feel that the rewards for creating puzzles are too low and we will address it in the next update! EDIT: Rewards for creating puzzle doubled!

When shift-clicking to use the x mark in Squared, if I'm marking over a square with a number in it, it sometimes changes the color to the color of the number in that square. It happens inconsistently, though, so I'm not entirely sure what's happening. Thoroughly in love with the game, though!

Right click should be the "x" instead of shift and it would great if you could enter pan mode by dragging on the area outside of the puzzle as well. Also hotkeying the color changes or at least a single key to rotate through them
We'll consider the other ideas, but the colour hotkeys already exist (from the instructions):
(2-8) Switches to the corresponding colour.
(Z) Cycles through all available colours as well as the “cross”.
EDIT: Right click is now a "shortcut" for the "X".

Love the game..unfortunately on the 50X50 puzzle I am having trouble seeing all of the clues clearly. While I can zoom in and out, I can't seem to "drag" the puzzle at all. A click and drag feature would be nice, or make the puzzles move-able by arrow-key perhaps? Just some thoughts.
You can click the circle with the arrows on the bottom right corner to toggle pan mode, or hold CTRL and drag the grid or press the WASD keys to also move the grid.

actually, disregard my previous comment. It only let me into levels resulting in a cost of my previous total of 2 coins. Still displays a total of -7 coins, though (at this time).
The display can sometimes get out of sync with the database. We thought we had fixed all instances of this issue but we apparently missed one. We'll look into it. EDIT: Display issues fixed!

Somehow got around the coins system just playing the game normally. Saved one of the levels i was trying to complete, and when i went to enter it, it wanted me to pay 3 coins. I had 2 coins. Somehow, it let me through. Did this twice, got a result of -4 coins. Now i can enter any level, regardless of cost.

...Can't do any puzzles because I couldn't get any coins even though I voted all the puzzles I could... Why is there a coin system in the first place?
It's a display issue. The text saying you got Coins should not be showing up unless the daily bonus is available. It will be fixed very soon. EDIT: Fixed!

Hey. It would be grand if the view didn't reset everytime you tabbed out of the game. It's more of a bother for me, since I tab out to chat a lot, and I keep having to reset the view.

Pressing "Show Incomplete" a lot of times during a Squared puzzle and the number will float upwards a pixel every click, dislocating the number until you load the puzzle again.

Voted on all available puzzles but did not get a single coin (despite confirmation text "here are you coins"). Is that intentional for the preview?
We made sure you could get the bonus even if there weren't enough images to vote on (which is now happening frequently due to a lot of new players voting and not enough images being created). However we forgot to stop that particular text from appearing if you couldn't yet actually get the Coins due to the daily timer not having reset. We'll have it fixed on the next update! EDIT: Fixed!
That's why there's a voting system and some additional moderation at the end of the process. Rest assured that no "dubious" images will go into the puzzle library. ;)
There are 72 free puzzles and Coins can be earned everyday by taking a couple of minutes to vote on new puzzles (or by creating them). Additional free seasonal/contest sets will also make an appearance soon.

in Links i often 'drop' the line in the middle of drawing and have to pick it up again. Also would be nice if you could reset part of the line just like you can reset it whole by double click. Overall these are minor things and I love the game
We're really glad people seem to be enjoying the game! Resetting part of the line is a pretty good idea, we'll include it in the next update. ;) EDIT: Bugs fixed and feature added!
You can only receive the bonus once per day. The number of hours left in the timer is shown at the bottom of the voting page (we're making the text bigger so it's easier to see).

I feel like it is unclear how many coins you earn for creating puzzles, and is it limited daily like the voting or is it unlimited? also an option for keyboard control might be nice. I looooove the picma games by the way! can't wait to dig in to more of this one!
We'll edit the text on the validation pop-up to be more informative. Thanks for the feedback. EDIT: Tweaked text, keyboard controls are on the roadmap.

Could you include the option to, instead of moving the grid, move your field of view? (i.e. pressing 'w' would bring more lines into your view at the top of the screen rather than the bottom, and similarly for 'a', 's', and 'd')
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Love the puzzles but please do not have the X on '1'. I always end up selecting the colour next to the one I want. :P

Hm, I am attempting to vote on puzzles, but I am looking at a blank box with no title and a refresh did not solve it. What do I think of that image? It's not there ;)
The influx of new players quickly exhausted the queue of images up for voting! We need to make that more obvious however. Don't worry though, as soon as the timer is up you'll get the bonus Coins even if you can't vote.
