i think this game have to be balance a little, coz the cost to upg auto mine is so high when we need many ore for smelting, and etc
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
How many ascensions does it take to get out of the level 2000 range of autoing... I can't seem to get past that without things costing an insane amt of money....

# Baumstumpf, I am the guy who asked who the ore doesn't change as you get more, How is that a stupid comment? if you have 1 pound of ore to sell at $1 then when you have 10 pounds you should be selling it at $10. Smae with the bars, There should be a price per portion or piece and that price should increase as your quantity increases, What I didn't see until just now since most of the time I sell ore and bars quickly was that it does change the value of the sold items in the inventory screen, Which is why it says big and small box of ore or bars. so while it might seem to be a stupid comment it was a request for information. Sorry if I am not as smart or observant as the rest of the Kongregate community.

After having sold ore and bars by misstake several times I'd love to se a possibility to move those things back to the inventory instead of the selling bag...

Judging from downvotes, it seems Expensive and Very Expensive are the most popular options. I'm really confused why that is. Am I missing something? To my experience, Insane gives the highest MPS, but of course only if you adjust material and item type to match the selling time. The only minor inconveniences I've found with insane is that it takes a long time between individual sales and to produce enough bars to begin the next ore item production. But I fix that by adjusting smelting output to 0.01 more than is needed when I start on a new ore. Maybe I should mention that I only switched to insane from about Stibnite. And maybe it has to do with the fact that I've barely ascended (lvl 3585)? I haven't yet understood when it's actually good to ascend, besides the infamous Infinitium +32 wall.

Nicely balanced after the upgrades, only quibble is the expensive item achievements are massively harder to get than all the others

@Baumstumpf I understand downvoting people who ask things that only require reading game description or 5 minutes of experimenting in the game. But I'm talking about e.g. JeremyFoster giving a simple compliment or others asking questions about the game. But I admit comment sections aren't very convenient for discussing the game. It's best for reviews, armchair jokes and tips. I realize my knee-jerk reaction also came from myself being downvoted after asking a question that I truly wondered about, after playing the game for a week.

A sort of funny occurrence, but thought I might mention it. I am at a high level of automated processes, but I didn't put any points into the manual clicking for any but the sell button. As a result, the tooltips telling me how many clicks it takes for an action read very long, scientific notation numbers, which kinda pushes the text all over the place. Maybe adopt the same numbering format as there is for money in that slot?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Muskar Have you even looked at the comments downvoted?
They are mostly complaints about stupid things, or stupid ideas.
One person complaing that ores don't get worth more when you got more of them - why would they? 1 ore will still stay the same price no matter how much you got.
Or to allow to upgrade 10x when that has been possible for a logner time already.
Or to include the crits in the avrg ore/sec - has been that way already.
A big part of the comments is just retarded.
And bugs don#t belong to the comment-section - that is what the bug-report button is for.

@siddex123 you dont even need to click the "x" to close the upgrade window. clicking anywhere outside the window will close it.

Please move the upgrade 'X' button on the top right corner, it has been too many times that I have accidentally sold my precious stones. Thanks

@QOA: The ascension gives a +10% gold per level. You won't see much difference at the very low levels, especially since you will get +100-200% just from your achievements. It takes a bit, but when you get up there in levels (im currently at 20m) its a huge difference

KdaAnimefan, start producing higher tier of ores and the production will be slower then the selling, that way in time u sell all your goods.

if ctrl can show me what it will cost to gain ten levels, can shift show me how many levels ill gain when i spend my money on that?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It would be nice, if while holding CTRL in the upgrade menu, if only the ones you can buy all of the 10 would be highlighted.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Sorry.. Now I understand why I was downvoted for saying that button upgrades were practically useless. I was wrong. It turns out I was like 30 upgrades behind the actual price matching level. And when I upgraded it to match it, even forging was decently accelerated by holding space. This was at Zettanium Gloves with 893 auto forge and 920 forge button.

Wonderful game, and even batter that you listen and keep improving. To go with being able to see how much 10 upgrades cost it would be nice to see how many upgrades spending all money gets you

Lost all my progress due to system crash. Was at around 6.5k Ascension level when it happened. Is there any way to recover?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It takes weeks to get to few 1000s ascension lvls.... but when you hit your first 100k - you will need 1 day to get to infinitium and bilions of ascension.

@kmartinator The value in the tool tip is the average, it already displays how many items per second you are receiving.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It would be neat, once you hit 100% critical chance on a category, if the amount of objects produced per second (in the tooltip) changed to reflect the new value. Since at that point you are always creating a 'critical hit' taking the old 1 per operation value doesn't really help. Only referring to the "XX items per second on average" line. The time per operation and materials needed and whatnot can stay right where they are :]

@TaiJParry I really appreciate the advice. I'm aware of the selling price time scaling and focusing on price/time. I tried balancing before and found that the highest MPS were found on insane - my last test was around Orichalcum but since the price ratio hadn't changed much I assumed it didn't change. Now I just tested it with my current upgrades: Expensive 1.100z$/s (Ruby Mail of Insanity), Very Expensive 2.400z$/s (Meganium Helm of Carnage) and Insane ~7.000z$/s (Zettanium Gloves of Stars). This is only with 3.586k ascensions. What am I doing wrong?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The optimal level for selling would be very expensive as the percentile multiplier for achievements quickly overtakes the speed handicap.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Muskar: You've actually fallen into a bit of a fallacy. While Insane gives the highest price per unit, that's not actually your main concern - mostly, you're looking for the highest price/time. As you go up in price levels, the power required to sell goes up significantly more than the profit multiplier - Insane costs 10x what Very Expensive requires for only twice as much profit, for instance. The optimal level is actually around Expensive - that gives you the biggest bang for your buck, generally speaking.

I TOTALLY agree. This seems to be a pretty serious game balance issue. I've ascended to the point where it takes me about 10 minutes to get back up to inifinity +32, and that only takes a while because I have to click through all the levels, but then it takes me hours to advance up to the next level. It seems like there should be a middle ground. It things slam to a stop like that, even though my ascension has gone from 150g to 1.5t, it seems to me that things must be poorly balanced
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@GHOULLYX Holding shift when you buy an upgrade will spend all available money or buy 1000 of the upgrade, which ever is less. That should save you all that clicking
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@erikm That's called a numeric overflow. The numbers you are using are too high to fit into the variables they are assigned to. You may have reached the limit of what the game can do

The last 2 days I've gotten an issue where at some point my money stops growing. No matter how much I sell it doesn't increase. I have to ascend to make it reset. Can you fix this bug please?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've found that selling at insane price gives the highest output, so I've done that since Stibnite ore. Around Orichalcum ore or so, I was forced to change to producing only swords/gloves, since forging is far more expensive than smelting and mining (since the patch that fixed mining's extreme price). Now I'm at Petanium ore and the price ratio has only increased. If I want a balanced output for the insane auto-sell price, mining is 3% of forging price and smelting is 30%. And swords are the most expensive in ores/bars. If I produce another type of items, the price ratio becomes even bigger.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think the manual button upgrades should be a lot stronger in the later levels. I'm currently at level 800 and holding space makes practically no difference from the autos alone - and they're the same price to upgrade. I think it's been this way since at least level 500 or so. The sell button works as it should though. A suggestion would be to have it be at least the same speed of the auto, so holding space would make it double speed.

I will start off with I love the game. However, one big pet peeve of mine is the inability to resize the game box. Please allow resizing.
