Under rating threshold (show) When you start a level, the computer generates a random grid meeting the parameters (dummies and such) and then rotates some things. So there may be better solutions to the puzzle than the one the computer started with. The number of dummies just tells you it is possible to do it with that many unused spaces.

Under rating threshold (show) If you get stuck on a level, just restart and it'll give you something new. Dummies aren't unused pieces, just pieces that won't be used no matter what. 4/5 for having way too many levels.

Under rating threshold (show) Very fun game, and more 'puzzle dept' then loops of zen. Still, what i don't like is that sometimes, multiply solutions are possible, at level 13 i could keep 2 piece unused, even trough i didn't get to dummies yet. Also, i stongly miss a 'mark squar' button that NetWalk and the likes used to have, so you can mark the pieces of witch you are sure they are rotated in the right direction, big need on bigger levels.

Under rating threshold (show) BzAli: Dummies is I think the number of unconnected live ends. It doesn't record the number of unused sections

Under rating threshold (show) Whew, just did level 75, just 125 to go. All other achievments done. All I am missing here are the badges... 5/5 by the way. @gunslinger the prism idea is awesome, I hope there will be colourshift 2

Under rating threshold (show) BzAli, sometimes a high number of links will make it so that there *should* be a tract of combined light that does not light up anything. This tract can be broken without affecting the puzzle, and therefore there will be more unused pieces.

Under rating threshold (show) Is the dummies-setting broken? I've just completed lvl 45, which claimed to have 3 dummies, but my solution to the puzzle had 13(!) sections unused. Still, excellent game, and I stand by my 5/5.

Under rating threshold (show) Gave it a five but changing it to a 4 because it's flagging. Just done level 40 which is 14x14, 14 sources, 6 links and 2 dummies. And so onto level 41 which is the same !!? With 160 levels to go the difficultly has levelled off. They just take longer each time they get a bit bigger, and offer no new new challenge, except to your eyesight and patience. Excellent concept, very nice design but should have far fewer levels.

Under rating threshold (show) Really really love this one. At first I thought it was ok, but after clearing puzzle 20, I'm convinced of its genious. Graphics could use some sprucing up, but at the very least tiles would be appreciated. When I was first starting out on level 1, I wasn't sure where to click, or where the boundaries were per piece. Of course I get it now, but even still sometimes when there are multiple elbow pieces in close proximity, it can be hard to tell. 5/5, even with mentioned issues.

Under rating threshold (show) i don't like the graphics that much, they could have made it look a lot more professional although the game itself, in my opinion, is loads better than loops of zen

Under rating threshold (show) I don't see why people are comparing this to loops of zen. true, the concept is similar, but the features of this game - color mixing, wrapping, dummy pieces, etc. - mark it as a lot better-made. Honestly, I got bored a HELL of a lot faster with loops of zen. I'm still not bored of this one. :D I would definitely like to see a sequel, maybe with better graphics, music, and as mentioned earlier, prisms that split up and combine light. Possibly with white light sources? I dunno, just spitballing.

Under rating threshold (show) I loved Loops of Zen and I love this one. And although their basic ideas are similar, I feel the gameplay is very different: Loops of Zen is the kind of game where you reason by pure logic a lot, finding that some tile can only go one way and then concluding that as this tile has to go this way, that other tile has to go that way and so on... While Colorshift relies more on intuition. Very seldom can we conclude that there is only one possibility for one tile, so we try to find local solutions that can fit into the global picture. If Loops of Zen is somewhat like Sudoku, Colorshift is a bit like Go.

Under rating threshold (show) Even if the colors were wrong(which they aren't, since I don't think that's watercolor coming out of the sources) this is one of the best puzzle games I've played so far. Shouldn't compare it to Loops of Zen, because it makes it look like a game for preschool kids XD Especially the colormix and the wrapping are two great features -> 5/5 P.S.: If you plan to make a sequel(please! ^^) I want to suggest to add a prism that splits the colors again, making it a little more difficult and adding even more diversity.

Under rating threshold (show) For those commenting about the color mixing: The Red/Blue/Yellow primary leading to Purple/Green/Orange as secondaries is mostly used by children fingerpainting. Most professional use of color uses the additive set RGB (which human eyes and computer monitors use) or the subtractive set CMY (which printing presses use). When you mix RGB as primary colors, you get CMY.

Under rating threshold (show) didn't you learn your colors in elementary school? Red Yellow and Blue are the primary colors. R+Y=Orange; R+B=Purple; Y+B=Green.
