Flash End-of-Life, Ruffle Integration!
This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Description
The first nuclear powered expedition to Mars ended with disaster. Just after the unmanned craft touched down on the Mars' polar ice cap the reactor suffered a melt down. The reactor's immense heat melted though the ice straight through to the planets core. It caused a chain reaction that ultimately led to the planet exploding. Now planet earth's sky has become dark and threatening with rock and debris in scattered orbits. It's up to you to save the earth from plummeting asteroids by clearing the dark sky.
How to Play
Up arrow or 'w' for Thrust, Down arrow or 's' for Shields, Left arrow or 'a' to rotate counter clockwise, Right arrow or 'd' to rotate clockwise, Space to shoot, Caps Lock or 'p' to Pause the game.

This is pretty much exactly like Maelstrom from Ambrosia Software... except with less stuff and more cartoony graphics.

to me, asteroid games were never fun because of crappy graphics, but this was great! 5/5 rock on!
