Clearly this game is set in a future where prices are hyper inflated and candy is outlawed which is why a chainsaw costs a million and you have to get the candy in a dark wooded area :)

It doesn't seem to make sense that a stronger weapon causes a quicker pain rise. Usually the amount of force a weapon exerts would relieve the pressure off the person using the weapon.
