Directional gold was a HUGE improvement. Another I'd like to see is some sort of alert when you get a new character. Almost every time, I didn't notice until I'd already started that day's run and my poor lonely little level 1 guy was ill-equipped. Best end song yet. Game itself...not as fun for me as Zombies Took My Daughter or Cluesweeper (old school), but good.

1st try, 31 days. Game is awesome, and the new gold/direction system makes it quite playable, even fun! Piece of advice to everyone, if you see a character you like, give them a return to town item ASAP. By the time you actually find the dragon it's too late to really rely on chance with the chests.

I hate how the rng can just screw you... I can get the adventurers being unable to handle anything but a one-space wide corridor, but when the level directly connects to an unremovable section that causes death, loss of interest, or loss of massive quantities of gold trying to keep interest up... well, the whole point of the game is to make a good dungeon level. When the game says "make a good dungeon level, also, you can't", that... kind of sucks.

Items kinda suck. Many times I'd see one show up at the store that I want to get for a hero, but I can't since they're in the dungeon. By the time they are out, it's been replaced by something I don't care for.

am i the only one that feels kinda wrong making a dungeon with the intention of it being beaten? id rather the point be to stop adventurers as long as possible

I found that items that return your hero to town at a certain % were valuable. My heroes would never level together after a few levels and so I'd get to the dragon with only one or two guys. Having them able to fight the dragon everyday made it easier to take it down.

Since there is no instructions, I shall make one now. First, remember the adventurers are dumb. The money bags with arrows are for you to put down on the dungeon floor so the adventures will continue. Yup, that's it.

Ahh the song. Truly a reward worth the game! thank you.
I am sure fixing the AI so that the heros prefer paths least trod will be easy for you. Given your past record I will 5/5 this game safe in the knowledge that this minor thing will be fixed.

I misplaced a gold pointer that points back to the entrance, and thanks to an apparent glitch I can't delete it no matter how much I click (it's a lot). Fix plz?

So, apparently, I'm supposed to be on the hero's side here? I was playing it like Dungeon Keeper. No platinum rating for me.

Wow those greedy Mfs, they kept moving up and down to constantly gain money from one of my money blocks(they took ALL my gold }:[ )
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think that when they are wounded they repeatedly move backwards and forwards across the same span of dungeon to heal themselves, and when they are full health, they go to another path.

To anyone unable to advance their AI, the adventurers are attracted to gold. A gold coin advances them about 3 squares in the direction of the gold and gives them motivation to keep exploring (gold bar represents how interested they are in staying, use gold to keep this filled). To sum this up: Your adventurers are just a bunch of greedy bastards who run into walls unless you throw shiny things in front of them.

The AI needs serious improvement. Also, instead of your classes randomly being chosen for you, why not create a class-upgrade system instead? Or a class change option? I kept getting nothing but paladins and mages. Say every 5 levels you can go from like a warrior to a paladin or beserker or rogue and so on. or pay set amount of money to replace your adventurer with a different adventurer with a class of your choosing. Like change a paladin that I have a ton of already into a cleric or rogue.

there should be something you can buy to lure them down certain paths, like the gold coins but maybe a diamond instead

Just beat it in 27 days! TIPS: the goal is to level up and make strong characters to get to the bottom and kill a hard dragon // try to get in as many fights as possible for exp // you dont always have to touch every tile to beat a level // go for the good tiles (treasure, potions, gems, books) avoid bad tiles traps // once your characters are lv 12+ try to protect them with a return to town item // always take all the items discard if you have to cause its good money // dont put down more gold then you need to watch the time bar and place gold where u need it. //

I was really enjoying this game with 5 lv16 people or someting, and i get to the last level and the dragon kills EVERYONE. It then took longer than the first time to get just 1 guy to the dragon and he kills it in two days??!!! wtf. there is some serious logic problems in this game. But the song at the end made me give this 5/5. Still as a game it could do with some/alot of improvement

Great game!
- Tip: The stupid behaviour of the heroes is an essential part of the game. You have to plan your maze accordingly. Never risk their walking back, or even in circles! (Only exception: When you build a side-track which begins at the entrance and which is very short.)
- Tip: Give every hero an item that makes him go back at X% health.
- Tip: Build your maze so that your heroes get every piece of XP there is. It costs more (tiles / gold piles), but it's worth it. Later on, your success depends on the number of heroes you have that can start at level 13.
- Tip: Build your maze so that your heroes get every treasure chest there is. It costs more (tiles / gold piles), but you need every "return at X% health" item you can get.
- Bug: Double-clicking on an item in the shop doesn't turn it into gold. Right now, you have to unequip a hero, give him and then sell the unwanted items one by one.

from inside the game: "when you kill an adventurer you gain 20gp x their level"
So your like ment to kill them and level them at the same time lol

hey guys. i've taken note of all the comments, and by far the biggest complaint is the confusing gold coin/random adventurer/time limit part of the game. therefore, the latest update attempts to address all of these. check it out and tell me what you think!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ps when you are buying and selling there is a glitch where you buy the thing that gives you like 5hp per lvl then sell it and you get to keep the hp it gave you and then you do it agine for more health but once you lvl all the hp you got from the iteams will go away >:) thought you might want to know >:) yahhhh

Nerdook!! I hate you because you confused.
You keep making game that I like and waste lots of my time!!
On the other hand I enjoy playing it.
I dunno whether I should make a complain or compliment!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Dear Mr. Nerdook, As long as you and your team of developers keep reading the player's comments, looking for a way to upgrade your game system and improve the enjoyment of the kongregate community, you'll have my 5/5 and any other kind support I can provide.
Your constant updates are proof that you care. You are an example for developers.

I can tell why other comments are marked down but why mine?
I just made a reference to the fact that in games like oblivion you take every poece of treasure you can.
And in this they run around so much they take all the treasure they can possibly get from the money bags.
You guys must have read it wrong.
Shame on you!

For those that are complaining about the AI. The AI randomly chooses for a reason. You are meant to make an efficient path, one *without* choices.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Dear Nerdook, stop making games with the same designs and one that isn't about killing things every person in each game looks alike.
