Funny how so many of the comments and even 3 top comments are talking about the difficulty but Nerdook has yet to change it or offer any type of guidance.

@Sabuko...when you uncover mooks...kill them and you will have less to deal with when you find the daimyo...not to mention they give you exp and silver(can be used to purchase upgrades for your team before you fight the daimyo).

how the hell are you suppose to get past normal without anything to buy any upgrades with at all when it refuses to let you get anywhere at all, other than countless defeats that cannot be erased? YOU FAIL

Antisocial: Try looking the word up in a dictionary before going off on a tangent because you don't know what it means.

I found one weird thing, if you go over, lets say 700 hp for samurai and you go into battle i thought you can stick with over 700hp, but when you start dying you resets back to 700hp. i had like 816 hp and it reset.

anyone who's complaining this game is too hard just don't have the right strategy. Fact is, you die you lose. Get two allies and ONLY try to invest as much xp as possible into yourself to survive. This makes the game an ultimate piece of cake.

great game, 5/5. still really hard though, if you don't choose the right upgrades from the beggening your going to have a hard time at the end

Is it just me or does this game seem a bit racist? Mooks? Sounds a hell of a lot like "gooks". And rice paddies give you health? I dunno man...
But the gameplay is excellent and addictive, aside from how limiting it is not to be able to keep your upgrades or replay games to get a higher score (which is a huuuuge flaw in the game).

Great game. Here are some additional comments to the ones mentioned:
1) Enemies that spawn on your toon start attacking prior to the beginning of the round.
2) The damage by booby traps are simply crippling.
3) Companion heals by rice fields should be standard.
4) Monk needs to be revamped. The archer and warrior are much better buys.
Other than that....it's a great game and a fresh concept. I look forward to the sequel.

I don't get the similarity to Minesweeper. Just that something has a grid of tiles to click on doesn't make it like Minesweeper.

Since we don't control the fight...we could win one battle during one occassion and then lose the next battle that is the same exact fight as the last one. Thanks, but no thanks. I'm out.

Keeping upgrades after you failed level would made this game too simple, it's still pretty easy though. Personaly i don't enjoy game that I'm sure to win without any effort. I can't understand why peaple complain about difficulty, it's not impossible.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
this is impossible, i cant even undo the upgrades i make to my samurai/companions plus if you choose the wrong upgrades fir your characters AND the ones you buy, fighting the Shogun will be impossible. At the moment, I am fighting Shogun and probably have died 6 times now ive killed most mooks having to fight only 34 of them during the fight against the Shogun yet all my Characters die its really irritating because my samurai loses health very quickly.

It's a shame that the greying out of buttons isn't really working properly; The buttons are still clickable and you even still have the possibility of trying to buy the upgrade in the market. Furthermore, sometimes ALL the buttons in the market are greyed out, even the ones I have the silver for.

you can't clear campaign unless one province is beaten...you need to change that so if you lose to the first province, you can clear the game

Great game, and i really appreciate the puzzle twist. Otherwise, there´d be no challenge and you could just grind your way through the game. However, it could be emphasized in the game that you´re supposed to replay from the start is you get stuck.

I personally think that you should be able to control the character, that way it's got a little bit of skill or planning behind it rather than you just sitting down hoping that you win. I go in with Max HP with barely less than 30 Mooks(On any stage on easiest difficulty) and I can't even beat the first Daimyo. I haven't been able to get less than 20. Least so far is 29. I've even tried clicking on random spaces rather than one after the other, and then I either can't find the Daimyo afterwards or I only land on farms. It'd be a good game if you had a bit more control than the seemingly useless skills.

Man, i just rly like nerdook games but this one is not as good as others... its pretty "luck" based and have a lot of little problems that makes the game more annoying than fun. For example, all health bonuses dont apply your allies, and getting all your silver/exp restarted after you were defeated just sucks... i mean i just played the same freaking stage like 5 times and still cant beat it becase my allies die often and cannot upgrade them (because i cant beat the stage).
This is a sad day.. i found a not so good nerdook game... 2/5

I think there is a bug: if you buy extra clicks in the market after you have already run out then you can't use them anyway.

@Rustavin score 340500. In addition to what you said, also clear the area that increase the number of mooks FIRST. That increase total score.

wasnt a bad game, though im not sure what i actually had to do in battle. Clicking once seemed to set him off and i didnt have to touch it again. Maybe that was just me. . .

Managed 301750 (A+, 5 stars on Nightmare). Highly recommend Multi Strike, plus Souldrinker and Regeneration; the faster you clear mooks and the more passive health recovery you can get, the better. Unlock allies as quickly as possible; no stat upgrade is as useful as another set of hands. Do as much of your exploration as you can first, and find the daimyo; don't just follow footprints, but rather click one square ahead of where they lead. Once you've opened all your non-Ricefield squares, go back and kill, saving enough clicks to heal up before the final battle. Shadow Clones are excellent for daimyo slaying.

I disagree with the complaints asking for grinding, but I think in normal mode you should have "free respecs" as in you can push a button to respend your silver and experience. You should also take the consumables out of normal mode since you can win without them. This should help prevent people from getting irreparably stuck without adding grinding.

Personally I do not mind the challenge of the game. Though I would like a reset button for my exp and silver purchases, that way I can try a different set-ups on maps I have trouble with.

This game is about as challenging as the lottery. There are always situations you CAN'T find the Daimyo no matter what.
