comparison to mine sweeper is a bit off, but overall a very fun game. I thought it sucked at first because of that and then started to understand what needed to be done in this game...

I would like to see that once you buy your upgrade you get to keep it whether you die or not. I think its crucial to the upgrade system.

nerdook - it's out! enjoy the game. :D
DEVELOPER RESPONSE FROM NERDOOK - this is me, replying to myself on a comment I made!

My tips - buy friends, for sure. For upgrades, get upgrades that bulk up your friends (+50 health between battles, +75 health permanent). Buy upgrade that increases kill meter. Buy upgrade that increases health of shadow clone.
Then, on later levels, kill mooks until you have at least 75 in your kill meter, then attack the daimyo (doesn't really matter how much health you have left, though if you have less than 250 or so, you may have a challenge). Immediately summon a shadow clone, then a second when you have enough. That should do it - if you have leftover points in your meter, you can use for revival (if necessary) or the first attack.

Just completed this game on "Normal" and gained One Star from the game. Went to continue playing the game (to earn a Second Star) and, lo and behold, all of my upgrades anbd progress were gone! What a shame.
As for the game, itself, I'd give it a 4/5. Good game!

4/5 A wonderful game but it was a little short mainly due to the lack of grind-ability. I would love to grind myself to Rurouni Kenshin level epicness rather than try and figure out which abilities compliment my play style. I understand why it was designed this way, but nevertheless it ruins the experience for me a little.

Please fix this bug : When I start the first level the game stop and i start with 9999 silver and xp and the game stop working!!!

I was so perplexed as to why I was getting silver because when I ended the levels there was no place to spend it one upgrades....but then I actually looked away from tile map and saw the market place. Never thought to look for the upgrades within the level, but when I did the game got more fun, then got way to easy and got less fun. But overall I enjoyed my time here, good job.

This game needs some fine tuning to make it better. You should be able to redo your upgrades if you get stuck on a stage. If you can't redo upgrades, at least keep the earned XP in lost battles. Because right now, if you did something wrong from the beginning, well you gotta live with it and hope you get lucky and win the fight. Besides that, good game! (3 out 5)

Well... it is kind of challenging... but really, focus on shadow clones and Samurai upgrades make it rather easy. Kagu bunshin ftw!

I think the upgrade to get +50 hp to companions after a fight is the most useful upgrade there is. I lost like 6 times before i got it and after that it was easy. As a game it was kinda meh. 3/5

Not liking this very much... now on my third attempt after having messed up my upgrades the last two... no assistance with which upgrades are likely to help you and no way to recover except from starting to campaign over again.

You should be able to reset your upgrades. I couldn't defeat the shogun because I probably bought the wrong upgrades.

Whenever I bought extra clicks, I couldn't use them.
Also, would be nice that upon defeat, you could save some of the earned xp and money, else all those defeats are just waste of time.

The combat AI sucks, examples, samurai and an enemy swordsman stand still on top of each other without doing anything, long enough for archers to fire twice. Brute is stood right next to an enemy archer, at one end of the battlefield, at the opposite end is me and the only other mook, a swordsman, the brute passes through the archer without attacking and heads towards me. Both allies and enemies jump into arrows that would otherwise miss, and fail to jump when they're about to be hit, also jumping when attacking so the attack misses.
It's a good concept, just needs a bit of work in the execution.

I don't know what army could have destroyed a village where this Samurai was, the man alone is cutting down legions...

A bit shorter than the other games you have, but it was still an interesting twist. Though I wouldn't really call this Minesweeper per se, but I see where you got the idea. With grinding an impossibility, it seems one has to rely on strategy and proper purchases to get through this game, which I like. 4/5

like the graphics and concept, the fact i hate minesweeper may have something to do with why this isnt very fnu to play.

Love your games....but I don't think I like this one very much it's alright just don't like having to fight a lot of people then lose all my experience just cause I died, I mean it does make sense to a point but right now I'm screwed....

I love your games, Nerdook. I really do. However, every time I click on your games I know there's a given chance it'll be about ninjas, robots, or demons. Granted that IS the holy trinity of video games... but I dunno, a little change of pace perhaps? Considering the genre is my only gripe, that's saying something. A dangerously addicting and fun game, as always. 5'd

Is there a particular reason that the "restore 30 hp instantly" purchase increases your current hp by 50 while ignoring max hp?

I was just thinking to myself that I needed to go check your page for any news on a new game when I saw the add for this badge on the homepage :D Ok, let's play this thing!

I love the game, but a very short backstory on why random people suddenly decide to be our companions would be nice... :D
