Normal mode's not hard at all. What are you people whining about? Grinding is boring, and this game not only doesn't require it, it doesn't allow it. It's a short, arcade-style game. It's not about redoing levels to max out upgrades, it's about beating the game in one sitting for a high score.

I got to the very last boss and I just can't get it. Tried different upgrade purchases and tactics. Hell, I even found the Daimyo in one click and thought that had to be it... Purchased extra health and everything... Nope.

I like how people say it'd be more fun if you could grind as though grinding is at all fun
This game is just plain boring, face it

No grinding + not actual Minesweeper rules (seeing all tiles around you would be a better implementation) + absurd difficulty for being "normal" = not very fun.

I love all nerdook games but this one is one of the best. I'm finally challenged and I'm loving it. Keep the good work up!

Want to do something more challanging, well that's what the dificulty level is for! The lowest dificulty level shouldn't be so punishing. If someone looses on one region, then that player should get a part of the silver earned, like a slow grind.

This is too much luck-based. Altough i agree that grinding previous levels would prejudice this game in particular, i think at least part of the silver/exp you collect when you lose or run out of clicks should be kept. I hate to run out of clicks or finish with only 1 click left because i was lucky enough to click on forest after forest or because i followed, the oftenly misguiding, footprints.

It's fine to make it challenging. But add a mode, maybe unlocked after the first campaign, in which you can just grind away and max out your team. It hurts me to play such a nice game and not even max out two out of the 4 characters at the same time ^^

All of the companions except for the Brute seem useless, and even the Brute isn't good. They don't have good enough stats to justify them not healing between fights.

excellent game, although the difficulty curve was quiet high it makes it replayable to find the ultimate combination to beat the game. well done again

I just hit a province where the footprints led straight to the edge of the province, with NO daimyo at the end. Nice programming.

I recommend using experience to add more characters. Use your silver to add 50 HP to your sidekicks after each mission, and 75HP to their max HP. Use 100 silver to purchase 12 EXP as often as possible. Put Exp into your main character's HP after you have other characters.

Ok Nerdook, I see 3 flaws that kind of screw someone over. First, if you use the first skill (20 point cost) and double click it when you have 21ish or so points, you end up in the negative values. 2nd, first encounter with the feudal lord of your choice, you get swarmed and shadow copies get massacred, daggers end up all over the place, your sword slash skill gets you raped if they are grouped together (the monsters get first strike during said skill about 70% of the time) and the samurai jumps up and down like a moron at a rave (fun when you see him fall from full health to less than 200 in 3 seconds flat)....3rd, well lets just say, you need to allow people to reset the game under the condition of a defeat and no feudal lords defeated without forcing the player's samurai to defeat one in order to continue (aka mulligan conditions and see the" moron jumping up and down at a rave" comment for a better reason why). Lastly, great game otherwise.

Found a glitch : If you buy the +1 extra click consumables when out of moves, it shows you have 1 move left but you cannot use it at all.

so other than what everyone else is saying about this game ... anyone find your companion the archer stupid? I mean ... he doesn't move, but he can't shoot that far either ... didn't see anyone post about this issue

I'm puzzled as to what difficulty level everyone is playing on. On the normal difficulty I have no problems beating any of the levels, but everyone keeps complaining about getting stuck.

So, I can't finish the game because either I'm doing something wrong or the game has a bug. I defeated Daimyo Mori in the small, bottom right province but it still appears as a red, unconquered stage, preventing me from unlocking Shogun. I do not want to play through this again, as I am not a fan. Concept is great and the ideas there, the execution just wasn't the best. Damn it! I want the badge. :(

Couple things. 1.) Permenant upgrades are LOST when you lose on the level you bought them. 2.) The footprints lead towards the boss. Don't just click randomly. 3.) As Nerdook said, kill as many mooks as is practical. That alone will make the final fight much easier. 4.) Watch your health, watch your turns. I always made sure to buy upgrades at the end of a stage when I had already found the daimyo and wasn't worried about losing. Hope that helped!

I like this game. Usually I don't like games that don't have the option to grind when you can't progress further, but I didn't find it that difficult. Maybe I got lucky, but I didn't plan anything. I just got the upgrades that sounded good. I won with only two defeats. Maybe it's just me, but the game didn't seem that hard. Please don't rate this down if you disagree with me. I am just expressing an opinion.

Game is fun and not as impossibly challenging as people are saying. The only problem I ran into was not finding the daimao in time.... then I learned that you just have to follow the footprints by going one block in the direction they show. Find daimao, kill mooks, hit up some rice patties, and only buy permanents. I found that daimaos go down FAST if you hit super slash the instant they appear, too.

Stuck. To beat the next daimyo, I'd have to level up. But to level up, I'd need experience, and to keep my experience, I'd have to beat the next daimyo ...

seems unbalance going from ok this is doable to HFSWTH in one round. seems that if you don't select the upgrade that you the dev had in mind and the order you think it should be done there is no hope. I'm not interested in the badges and at this point not interested further in the game. this should have waited on badges. not being able to upgrade and try again rather ruins it.
2/5 as is with some rebalancing, addition of better upgrading 4/5

Wasn't a big fan of this game. I usually like Nerdook games but the luck based gameplay and no permanent upgrades made the game more frustrating than fun.

great game but i still cant seem to find out how to beat the last one. i replay this move over 10 times n nothing. i did come close to less than 300HP on Daimyos b4 i die :/
