Under rating threshold (show) I realize now that this game is far more complicated than I first thought. There's a reason you can't grind. This is the type of game that REALLY matters how you play, the whole time. If you make a stupid choice, it affects you throughout the game. The harder difficulties really do test your ability to plan ahead.

Under rating threshold (show) I was really enjoying this game! I saved silver, didn't click on mountains, bought the "permanent" mining upgrade, clicked all the mountains, got all the moneys, killed all the mooks... then had one unsearched square left and one click! So i clicked it... ...and they told me I had to try again because i'd run out of clicks without finding the Daimyo. Hmm. Where was he? Oh well, I decided I'd just keep playing. ...then noticed my silver and my Mining upgrade were gone. It isn't just about grinding - it's about keeping what I've earned. I'll go find another game to spend my time on, thanks. 2/5

Under rating threshold (show) I love it. 5/5 Instead of doing a grinding game, there is actually strategy behind the tiles to uncover, the experience points to spend, the upgrades to buy and the items. One complaint is that some permanent upgrades seem awful for the price.

Under rating threshold (show) dont worry about left click count. kill many mooks before u start final fight. this helps u fight with less opponent and getting less damage. use ur clicks as plus symbol so gets u max seen blocks. buy attacking 100 silver expence upgrades first. max damage and speed and never get companions.

Under rating threshold (show) Normal mode's not hard at all. What are you people whining about? Grinding is boring, and this game not only doesn't require it, it doesn't allow it. It's a short, arcade-style game. It's not about redoing levels to max out upgrades, it's about beating the game in one sitting for a high score.

Under rating threshold (show) I got to the very last boss and I just can't get it. Tried different upgrade purchases and tactics. Hell, I even found the Daimyo in one click and thought that had to be it... Purchased extra health and everything... Nope.

Under rating threshold (show) No grinding + not actual Minesweeper rules (seeing all tiles around you would be a better implementation) + absurd difficulty for being "normal" = not very fun.

Under rating threshold (show) Want to do something more challanging, well that's what the dificulty level is for! The lowest dificulty level shouldn't be so punishing. If someone looses on one region, then that player should get a part of the silver earned, like a slow grind.

Under rating threshold (show) This is too much luck-based. Altough i agree that grinding previous levels would prejudice this game in particular, i think at least part of the silver/exp you collect when you lose or run out of clicks should be kept. I hate to run out of clicks or finish with only 1 click left because i was lucky enough to click on forest after forest or because i followed, the oftenly misguiding, footprints.

Under rating threshold (show) It's fine to make it challenging. But add a mode, maybe unlocked after the first campaign, in which you can just grind away and max out your team. It hurts me to play such a nice game and not even max out two out of the 4 characters at the same time ^^

Under rating threshold (show) I recommend using experience to add more characters. Use your silver to add 50 HP to your sidekicks after each mission, and 75HP to their max HP. Use 100 silver to purchase 12 EXP as often as possible. Put Exp into your main character's HP after you have other characters.

Under rating threshold (show) Ok Nerdook, I see 3 flaws that kind of screw someone over. First, if you use the first skill (20 point cost) and double click it when you have 21ish or so points, you end up in the negative values. 2nd, first encounter with the feudal lord of your choice, you get swarmed and shadow copies get massacred, daggers end up all over the place, your sword slash skill gets you raped if they are grouped together (the monsters get first strike during said skill about 70% of the time) and the samurai jumps up and down like a moron at a rave (fun when you see him fall from full health to less than 200 in 3 seconds flat)....3rd, well lets just say, you need to allow people to reset the game under the condition of a defeat and no feudal lords defeated without forcing the player's samurai to defeat one in order to continue (aka mulligan conditions and see the" moron jumping up and down at a rave" comment for a better reason why). Lastly, great game otherwise.

Under rating threshold (show) So, I can't finish the game because either I'm doing something wrong or the game has a bug. I defeated Daimyo Mori in the small, bottom right province but it still appears as a red, unconquered stage, preventing me from unlocking Shogun. I do not want to play through this again, as I am not a fan. Concept is great and the ideas there, the execution just wasn't the best. Damn it! I want the badge. :(
